How many of you are having that stupid glitch with the first B2K sniper? I think in every B2K map that happens. I mean i dont see the gun at all the guy is just holding it above his head.

How people plays SQR? European people with mic? I play but dont have many friends with me. :( I use the Soflam as well, no Engis shooting tanks or anything.

It sometimes happens, but exclusively to B2K weapons on B2K maps.

M1911 Silenced, I've always used 1911s in games whenever I get the chance and BF3 is no different. It just seems like the only silenced pistol which packs enough punch despite the small clip size, I want a silencer so I can go sneaky in close quarters if I need to but I don't want it on my primary for most classes as I like to play mid-long range.

I am finally back on my own disc now to after 2 months+ of messing with Sonly they've sent me a copy 👍, and I have working internet on the same day finally! Was good to see a couple of GTPers out there (Sureshot most notably) in the field again.
 
Couple questions about the CITV/SOFLAM Station:

1) I noticed the CITV adds a 3rd seat to tanks. Can someone who doesn't have CITV unlocked still jump in and use it?

2) Do you have to keep your sights on a painted target to keep the lock? (sorry if this one's a bit stupid)

3) Does the enemy know when they've been painted? (Like how when a missile is locking on, you get the warning tones).

1. The seat isn't actually displayed, and the only way to get in is to have it unlocked and selected.
2. I don't believe so
3. Yes, it's just like a regular missile lock that continues to sound off.

VEXD, that was a great pleasure chap.

We were in some nicely balanced matches there, with some useful team mates who made it all a lot more enjoyable. I had some bad lag (I think I ran through one door in Bazaar 4 times before I eventually got through it) but it was too much fun to bin.

Wake - Tried to follow you into a chopper, but was too slow, so jumped in a jeep, then stole a tank, created some havoc, died, jumped into the second seat in another tank and owned handsomely with the MG. We clean up. I saw you drilling a few tanks/ jeeps near one of the flags which made me lulz.

Firestorm - again, missed the heli, so jumped in a tank, flanked along the long round down the side, killed one tank, got killed. Then I spawned on you waiting for a chops, but got trigger happy and we had a helpful squaddie waiting for me in a jeep, so caught a ride and got some flags. Then I hung around my old honey hole on that bridge and we stopped some tanks sniffing around B. At some point I was gunner for you in a heli and noticed the makings of some nifty pilotage.

Bazaar - tough round. We were getting flanked, then flanking them. Just couldnt hold onto our nearest Flag. Then we got 'locked' in one of those side rooms near B by our own IFV when it blocked the door and when got blown up, B was lost. There is a little room by B, with a big open area within it that is quite dark. People can mortar from there, but 99.9% of the time set up a spawn beacon in the dark. Always clear out that open area, otherwise Mr Knife pays a visit when you are least expecting it. My happy moment was taking out some noob mortarer near C, who was spamming away out in the open. You revived me a few time, because you're a champ.

Canals - You gave a chopper load of us a ride to C, handily dropping us off instead of making us jump (👍), then I got C, ran around a bit killing some peeps near B then hopped in a tank and me and some other dude ran riot. Can someone tell me how a tank paints targets - is that with CITV? The tank driver was owning bigtime doing that and using missiles. I clean up nibblers with the MG and we pretty much crushed them.

Metro - I think we were the only two to run to B! And then we got there early and I was like, "OMG, where do I go, I was expecting bullets flying!", so took that passage where you joined me. We got B, I died a billion times in that passage, you revived me a billion times, then we got overrun and had to fight them off C. I died after we got C and spawned on you hiding at A (good thinking Batman), but spawned in front of an enemy. He killed me, you killed him, then revived me. Noice 👍. Then we did a day's work holding A whilst the rest of the team consolidated C. You revived me (again) a few times and we did alright (one sniper dude kept on trying to come the stairs. I think I got him 3 times with claymores :D), but eventually got pushed out of A, lost B and then didnt have enough time to come back. We had some good telepathic teamwork there.

As I say, that was fun 👍

If anyone needs some help from above at firestorm, caspian or any other jet based map I can help take out helo's and tanks. Almost 400 kills so far. I have a headset so it would be easy to help locate tanks and ground troops

That way, the people on the friends list are the one's who ask to be / I invite :D (it is listed in the BF3 Group/ Club section though..). No random requests from the GT5 forum...

MP443 Grach Tactical for me.
It's a good all rounder and the recoil is less snappy than the M9. It's accurate enough to kill snipers and shoots quickly enough with a big enough magazine to use in a panic. The only problem is that it will replace itself with the M9 when you switch sides. (Like the M16A3, M27, etc.)

Since I have recently made it a priority to get my first Service Star for Recon, I decided to sign up for the EA Gun Club to get the M1911s and see if any of the variants would be more useful to use with the class. The primary reason for wanting to try the M1911 is the extra stopping power of the .45 ACP compared to the 9mm chambered pistols. Well I guess the results of wanting to try the M1911 speaks for itself, as the pistol I have the most kills with is the Suppressed M1911. Currently, I have 70 kills with the weapon.

Prior to using the M1911, I was primarily using the Suppressed G17C and I have 55 kills with the weapon. It should be said though that I may have quickly exceeded the number of kills I have with the G17C because I end up using the pistol as my Primary weapon when playing as Recon. If I were to switch back to the G17C, then it is likely the weapon would jump ahead and have the most kills. Making it a priority to get a Recon Service Star has made me much more comfortable switching to a pistol in panic situations or when using a weapon that is less than ideal in close quarters, i.e. SKS, M39 EMR, M40A5, etc.
 
WORD OF WARNING!

No one join the platoon SWAT Division, the founder kicked me out because I was on the other team for one game.

But 🤬 them :) found an even better platoon.

Don't worry, the sniper isn't that great anyway.

Ill be on all night tonight again.
Starting about 9 EST for the entire night. Might have Mic, might not. Depends on the signal strength of the wifi I Jack from the restaurant across the street from work. Anything under 50% strength and the game will either fail to load or connect if I try to use the voice chat.

I prefer engineering class but have been working the others a bit lately.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wont the soflam lock on even when unattended? I really wish more recon players used it. It is a great tool to have in the field.
I usually search for a nice high point in the map and set it up. Go snipe from somewhere close by but not to close.

Also, anyone else like tormenting the enemy on metro with the eod bot as engi, its a great way to break thru a solid lock down.
One round last night we were pinned back trying to get to B from the cafe, thru the bot down and started driving around spotting everyone and holding the torch lit rolling through groups of enemies. It really takes the concentration away.
Might not rack up points, but can really help swing the match around. I guess it helps if your not overly concerned with stats.
