No more of my money is going into BF3.

I haven't played BF3 in almost 2 months and how DICE/EA have handled/are handling the game with patching/fixes and DLC have made me lose further interest.

Enjoyable game (while it lasted for me), but not "Pay $100+ for the total/entire experience" enjoyable, well for me anyway. :)

As for premium - depends on its cost. It looks like $80AU in that one pic, with each DLC $24AU. So no saving for me, infact, its more expensive by 5 bucks.

The huge money grab is actually turning me off BF3 I am afraid. I think I need to bust of BC2 and see just how different it plays.

Mike I have to question your maths there, four remaining DLC's brings the total to $96; $16 more than the $80 for Premium.

Im not sure if Ill get it, and Im not sure for which platform. I think it will most likely be $100NZ so I dont know if it will be worth it. The DLC's are $30 each here.

I didn't know about Endgame ;). Given the 3rd release is most likely xmas time, the 4th is this time next year at the earliest. Not sure I want to prepay my gaming experience - I am already tiring of Bf3 a bit (at least compared to Bc2) so will I be playing it in 12 months still....who knows.
 
Ok, I think this is probably been asked but i'll still do it considering how close the DLC is.

What one of the Close Quarters weapons will you try to unlock first, obviously the top line of weapons have to be unlocked first but if you could choose, wich one would it be.

It has to be the MP5k for me, With iron sights, extended mags, flashlight and spec op's camo its the closest im going to get to SAS'ing it up on BF3. ;)

The ACR may make me put down the g53 for engi class. I'm hovering in the low 300s for rank with it. Bouncing between top 1% and 0%. Would like to get a foothold into the 0% before I move on. I think if I break sub 200 rank ill be good from a while.
If only I liked team death match I could probably be in the top 100 for sure by now.

Yes I agree, I havnt really got a carbine that i actually stick with at the moment so im looking forward to trying both of the new ones and see if i can make one my consistent choice.

They have done well with the choice of weapons in my opinion. Except for the JNG-90(Turkish Bolt action) They are all popular and intresting weapons. Nothing against the JNG-90, It just seems a bit of a random choice.

Try the g53 out. It is unlocked with the first assignment for engi class. I literally have 2k more kills with it than my second best weapon ( scar). Fairly low recoil which pulls up/ right. Burst to the chest usually results in a headshot. I do wish it had extended mags because countering a group of enemies will usually result in death. Four kills Max per clip (30+1). Not sure on hoe many hits to kill, but is on par with the scar with a slightly higher rate of fire ( 50 bps IIRC ) with what I notice to be a little less recoil.

If you need a repair tool kill for the assignment, ill let you kill me on the gtp server with it.

I generally still run the nerfed setup of silence / foregrip. I find it to work best with this gun.

I've recently switched to the G53, I tried it initially when I was using the M4A1 alot and didn't like the recoil pattern in comparison. However upon revisit I am loving it, favorite engineer weapon by far at the moment though I have no massive amount of kills with it yet. I'm using it with the RU Holo because I like the way it looks on the gun, with a suppressor or heavy barrel depending on the map (no grip).

I fall in the camp of pondering over the DLC as well, whether or not to buy the premium and get the whole bunch later or buy each pack I want as they come out. I'll likely cave and shell out for premium, given that it's not a subscription and I can't see myself becoming bored of this game any time soon, particularly if I have a tonne of maps.
 
Pretty sure I also run the ru Holo sight aswell.

I most likely will go premium. Just need to scrap up the cash. 1300 repair bill on my FJ just came in :(

I know I will be getting at least the first 2 map packs, no details on endgame or aftermath yet so I can't say for sure on those.

I run the G53 with the holo, foregrip and suppressor. Easily my favorite set up for that gun.

As for premium, I want it, for me it's a no brainer given the fact that BF3 is the only game I play on the PS3 right now (and for the foreseeable future). The question is whether or not I'll be able to fork out that much when it's released.

Hope they fix the Famas glitch soon. Had a decent round on metro (including a service star and a promotion) lost because of it.

Oh ive tryed it out ofcourse, Its one of my better ranked carbines. I just prefered it before the patch. Its still a sufficient weapon and i do use it regularly. just as i said, I havnt found one since the patch to keep me hooked. So much, that sometimes i would replace a carbine with a PDW such as the UMP or MP7. With the fact that the carbines and PDW's are both ment for CQB it isnt a bad idea actually, And with the typically higher ROF of the PDW's it can help you out in some instances to.
 
Just had a very odd glitch. I was playing rush on Tehran Highway, on the attacking team, and was killed. I got to the respawn screen when I was revived but the respawn screen stayed on while I was playing. Anyone else had this happen?

It happens every so often. Just press start twice and the glitch goes away.

That happens to me every once in a while. One time the same thing happened but I died out of bounds, and when I re-spawned, the colours were all still dimmed and black and white (like when you go out of bounds) but the timer wasnt there. Then I realised I could now go out of bounds without dying, but only realised it like 5 seconds before someone killed me.
 
Aaaaaah its really starting to **** me off. I have leveled up to level 34, 6 times. It doesn't register. Just did a game. Got loads of points and attatchment unlocks. Game finished so I backed out to check stuff. Back down to 33....again. Awash >: (
 
As said, the Famas is causing known issues and a fix is being worked on.

Also, they say doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is a reflection of insanity ;)

Great, just what we need, invincible choppers! Looks like Tanks are buffed back too.

Patch Notes
> Increased the effectiveness of the Aim Assist at close range. Testing in Close Quarters proved our current assist to be inadequate in tight quarters. This is a global change, and will improve the effectiveness of Aim Assist for all modes and maps. Aim Assist over distance is still significantly less effective. This is console only, as Aim Assist is not present on PC. If you prefer, you can also turn it off on console.

Looks like foregrips are getting a buff (mainly assault rifles) and the SKS is getting a nerf.
 
The big things I'm liking from that list is that they are (slightly) reducing the potency of flashlights, and they fixing the random audio crashes. Of coarse in addition to the fixing of the Dart and suppression effects.
 
I hope they get rid of the stat glitch and the glitch were the deploy screen stays when your playing.
