Some interesting vehicles... Not too sure about the C-130, I mean, it'll be awesome if they implement it right, but imagine what would happen when you have level 1 noobs camping so they can fly it...

Unless it's going to be a MW2 type affair, in which you are sat in the gunner seat and the plane is AI controlled.

I hope we can fly it. Gunship or not! :D The Blackhawk returning is great news also!

The C-130 is basicaly just a transport plane or Airborne troop deployment latform (parra's), the AC-130 is the same airframe but a heavily armed version more commonly known as the Spectre. Hence the A in AC-130 wich stands for attack.

I struggle to see the use of the C-130 in battlefield as its just a transport, The AC-130 on the other hand?.............Mother of god!!!! :D

The C-130 was technically in Bad Company 2. On some maps one team would parachute in and if you looked there'd be a C-130 flying over, so it's use could literally extend to that. Which would be disappointing...

This was mentioned in another forum, As a moving spawn point to parachute out of such as Dima and the guy's in the Kaffarov mission on the campaign.

With the reported size of the Armored kill maps it could be usefull, I doubt it though as surely it wouldnt have been shown along with new tanks, IFV'S, quad's, and Jet fighters in those blueprint pictures.

Ofcourse it is currently being debated what it actually is. A C-130 or the AC-130, They are aethetically similar (same airframe) just the blueprints dont show enough detail.

There's also Russian transport jets if you look across the lake at the first stage of Métro. As for the (A)C-130s, there could be a Rush map where the attackers jump from it in order to get to the first M-COMs. Sort of like with Dima in Kaffarov, but you would be a lot lower (maybe 700-1000m?)
Once everyone jumps from the plane, there could be an extra Attacker spawn a few hundred meters from the first set of M-COMs.

I'd also like a map where halfway through the match, an earthquake strikes, completely changing the terrain. They did this in Single-Player, and the devs said that it was possible to do in MP.

Oh, and this :D

Port Valdez was like that in BC2. After a while it became annoying as you could get shot out the air by snipers/ tanks on your way down.

Had an epic comeback last night with Drag, VEXD and a random.

Tickets aren't shown for some reason, but when we joined, we were about 100-470 down. We won by about 20 tickets. It wasn't a quick turnover on the 3 objectives either. We'd often be taking one and another would start flashing.

Used the P90 and UMP last night quite a bit, never really used either throughout a whole match. They're both really good. Still liking the cowboy pistol!

Just started to download the patch. Be warned it is big at 1.4GB.
Which seems quite large for what was mostly bug fixes and minor tweaks.

Wow! There must be something else than just bug fixes.

Just tried to join a server, the game didn't recognize my update. I also can't access premium, anybody else having this problem?

Just started the download and it says it's going to take almost 500 mins to download. Good job I wasn't planning on using the PS3 today (got family over).

I can't join server. But some interesting things.
There is a premium calender which shows DLC, "Soldier Upgrades", Strategy Guides, Double XP, Videos and "Bonus Content Drops".
Also on server browser I can see new game modes. DOM, GM and TDMC. As well as CQ maps Ziba Tower, Scrapmetal, Operation 925 and Donya Fortress.

Just found out we can't get on until after maintenance.
Battlelog will be down for maintenance on the 4th of June during these hours:
7- 12 PDT
10-15 EST
15-20 GMT
16-21 CET

During the maintenance, you will not be able to access Battlelog.
I guess that this linked to the server problems.

Like b2k, the DLC is in the patch as well, waiting to be unlocked with your purchased code.

Downloading now - 30min :)

@Dzidza: Not sure, really depends on pricing....

How many of you are going down with Premium route on PS3??

Patch is onto 3% for me with BT Infinity. Good job we upgraded.

There is a screenshot in there that shows a map with 7 flags, which would be epic if they manged to do it on PS3.

No, the map will be too big for 24 players.

Downloaded - can't see local pricing for Premium though, it isnt up and doesn't allow one to purchase it.

So I guess if Premium gives 2 weeks early access, DLC is at least 3 weeks away then!

I think it will be like this, Close Quarters releases today for those who buy Premium. Next week might be the 1 week head start for PS3 then the other week global release.

Yep will get it as soon as it is available to purchase. Its cheaper than buying all DLC's seperate so thats my main motive, everything else is just a sweetner,

I got access to Premium in the menu, but i could only acces the calendar. When i press Buy Premium it just stays on the same page.

I would guess it will be made available when the official Anouncement is made at E3.

The DLC will be included in that, one would imagine/guess.

Pretty quick to download. 25 minutes or so, which I won't complain at. That size on my connection should be about 18 mins or so. Give it a bash later.

Oh, i tought the CQ release is today for everybody :(

[Edit]: New M320 called the LVG it shoot 40mm grenade.

So, there's a BF3 calendar, I'm going to update here, you can probably find it elsewhere, but I didn't know monthly double XP weekends for Premium members.

4 DLC over next 10 months (we know, obviously), which is 2-weeks early if you're Premium
Unique in game content, no obvious pattern to it, though there's 6 lots of it planned
4 strategy guides planned over the next 10 months
Monthly premium events, which includes double XP weekend every month and a undisclosed Premium event every month starting in August
Monthly videos
4 lots of Bonus content, no more info on this

No info on price anywhere, this is only due to the back-end not being updated yet. Though I think it's been confirmed in the 40-50 euro range? I don't know, if those I play with get it, I probably will. I've spent 230 odd hours on the game, if those I play with aren't going to stop, then I might as well.

Server side hasn't been update yet, so can't test out the patch until the back-end has been sorted, but we knew that. Be nice to be able to have a fair chance in dog fights with the F-35 now.

The F35 definitely needed that buff, before Gulf of Oman would just be dominated by the flankers who can destroy all the air support for the US no problem it's nice to know we'll be able to fight back now.

Downloading the patch now and it's taking an age, as in 3 hours or so remaining! My internet is not slow right now (11mb/s download on speedtest) so this is a little outrageous and I don't fully understand why it is this way.
