And as Brett will tell you, I hate it when the other side gets one of my side's tanks. I joined him in a Rush game on Seine and they took our LAV after the second set of MCOMs so we spent most of the next set trying to kill it, I disabled it three times but they had several engineers sitting in their restricted area which was pretty cheap. We got it in the end though, turned out to be a good game.

I am not really sure how the other side managed to get our LAV. It was definitely bad news because the MCOM the LAV was defending had a clear line of sight to every ingress. Destroying that thing was made all the more difficult because of Reactive Armor. At times, Reactive Armor is almost unfair. A coordinated effort to keep a Reactive Armor equipped tank or LAV repaired can be a huge pain for the other team to overcome. Fortunately, the rest of the opposing team was not up to snuff to stop us.

I use reactive Armor because of those I can't aim because i have no skill shells (aka guided shells) people like to use against me.
It's the only thing that I can use to give me a chance when they sneak up to me before I see them (talking about tank/lav vs. tank/lav)

I think my favourite thing to do in the game, even more so than C4 trolling and long range headshots, is repair tooling. It's just the best thing, I love it when people panic and just give you their tank.

Pff, repair tool is for noobs. I use the EOD bot! :lol:
No I'm not very successful with it, but it is quite cool seeing a tank back off from a fight because it's being chased by a little bot.

Though I'm sure my team would prefer me using a repair tool at times. :scared:
 
Has the knifing animation always been so messed up?

Yesterday I ran into the stairwell of the building at A, Metro CQ, the one with the white van. I planted a claymore and ran up the stairs and as I got to the top I saw the claymore had detonated without a kill (:rolleyes:) meaning someone had followed me up; I didn't even have time to turn my soldier before I was knifed. I don't know how, but the gap between explosion and knifing was < 1 sec.

So today I experimented - I chased an enemy engi around the C flag at Kharg and when I was about 3-4 m behind him, I went for the knife animation and sure enough, I had it. It's pretty stupid, its like the radius that the knifing gets a 'kill' is a few meters. You dont have to be right behind the guy to get it by a long shot.

This isnt anything new. This has been the case for as long as I can remember with BF3 I think.
 
Never knew semi-auto sniper rifles were so effective at close range without a scope. Trying to get the balanced crossbow bolt so I need some sniper kills but it seems I can kill just as many with a semi-auto as I can with a carbine or whatever.

SKS IS AMAZING at this

I find the M417 even better at close range, 2 shot kills or 1 headshot I run it with a holo, foregrip and laser. The SKS is a better mid-range tool due to it's insane accuracy though.

Yeah i seem to have a more difficult time with that one. I just need to try it more. Those two are basically the same on damage and recoil and accuracy too. I run on my sks foregrip and suppressor iron site about 95% of the time. I use it usually on metro some place like that

Not the SKS. I only played one round but the standard rifles of the Mk11 Mod 0 and SVD I somehow am better with those than the SKS.

On a different note I still cant get the Battlelog to work. I know what the problem is. The game is listing my email as my old one yet I changed my PSN email to match my new one which is on my origin account.

I heard that these dog tags are community challenges. Look at the premium Page then event calendar either on the Site or on the game

You too 👍. I rage quitted because the lag was really annoying :lol:.
The locked dog tags seem like December's BCD or Soldier Upgrade. I tried going for the Silent Hunter tag (200 AS VAL kills and 50 MP443 Supp. kills) but none of them registered when the round finished.
 
Haven't tried this in awhile with friends. is it possible to actually be on the same team now with other people or does it still mix you up when you go into a game together and then you have to try and wait for open spots to switch up teams so you are all together?
That killed the game for me and about 10 other people i play with. If we could all get on teams easy now I might be able to get them back into it.

Any idea why the PS3 keeps crashing if I try and do the first co op mission?

Either that or the loading screen is there forever.

I'm definitely enjoying the new maps, however for some reason Sony can't get their stuff together and Japanese PS3 Premium users don't get the DLC until December 4th which means I've had to play on US West servers and deal with the lag.

In an effort to increase my accuracy and be better overall in the game I picked up a set of these from kontrolfreeks.com

They work. I noticed right away that I was more accurate and quicker to put my reticle on the enemy. of course, I've already played more than 500 hours so it will be some time before I see a change in my accuracy percentage but so far so good.

They also are proving to work well with GT5. I'm able to have more finesse when taking corners.
 
I'm considering getting those as well for BF, GT and COD as well. Are they any good with BlOps?

Yeah, We'll get them tomorrow along with the new camo's.
 
Are the balanced bolts less powerful than the normal bolts on the xbow? Because I seem to only be able to get one hit headshots with balanced bolts. And I don't see why you even bother with normal bolts if they were the same damage wise.
