G35. It's a Skyline, after all. And I really like it....

However, the 350Z is a very close second. The interior is really well laid out (controls wise) and the seat is very supportive.

I wish we got the G35 coupe here. I reckon I could just about push my other half into a two door with that one.

If I had the money and was choosing right now - RX-8. I need four doors, well specifically a useable rear seat, but that boot....can you option a tow bar?

If the G35 was available here, might be a different choice.

I voted for the Honda S2000. ITS SO GREAT. That high revving reliable engine of the S2000. Its one of my favorite car. Its great. Compare to a 350Z (my cousin has one) i rather pick the S2000. Its better in corner and track wise it will probably go to the S2000 depending on the curcuit. Drag wise hte 350z mostly will win.

I never really like the G35 Sedans look. The G35 Coupe is way better looking IMO but it doesnt come with a 4wd option. Altessa system same as on the GT-R only comes with the G35 Sedan.

Yeah but the G35x 4WD weighs like 350-400 lbs. more(0-60 in 6.5 instead of 6.1), and why would you need 4WD, the standard drivetrain doesn't lose control easily or anything, and don't get me started on the "off-road thing...

Hmm, hard to pick from such great cars, but I've gotta go with the G35. Luxury, performance, good looks, and it's the closest Canada gets to a Skyline :D. Great all around car.

1. G35
2. S2000
3. 350Z
4. RX-8

I hate to put the S2000 in 2nd place, but G35's just look so damn good.

I would go 350Z on this one, simply because there are a ton of setups that you can get from the factory, as well as, they are bringing Nismo to the U.S. so there will be the Nismo 350Z, which is quite awesome, IMO.

Interesting. All four of these made Car and Driver's TOP 10.

Seriously? I've not been a fan of the G35's looks. I much prefer the 350Z in coupe form.

The S2000 for me please. It looks great with the top up or down - has superb performance and driving pleasure - and has the reliability of a Honda. I also don't need the added space of a backseat, so the RX-8's main appeal is insignificant to me.

LOADED: (roughly)

G35: $38,000
S2000: $36,000
350Z Track: $36,000
RX-8: $33,000

Hmm. Not quite the breakdown I expected. I'm surprised the G35 and 350Z are as inexpensive as they are. This definitely brings them up the ranks a bit.

I just like the way G35's look for some reason. The sedan's look goofie to me, but the coupes look great. The outside looks is pretty much all I like about the G35, so I guess I shouldn't have voted it as the best car.

Now that I think about it, I'd probably swap the S2000 into 1st, and the G35 into second. There's not a damn thing I dislike about the S2000, but I do dislike some things about the G35. Mainly it's hideous interior.

My list would probably be:

1) 350z
2) G35
3) Rx8
4) S2000

The reason I voted the s2000 last is because I can't f-ing fit in it. I've got plenty of head and hip room, but it's got hardly any leg room at all. I love the Z's styling as well as the G35, but I think I'd rather have a 2-seater with the little bit of extra hp that the 350z has. Plus, I fit perfectly in the Z and while I've never "tried on" a G35, I'm willing to bet that I'd fit comfortably in that as well. As for the RX8..I don't particularly like it, but it's okay.

It sucks being 6'5" sometimes.

Agreed. It's just tough looking at awesome cars that even if I get an amazingly high paying job or win the lottery..I'll never be able to drive them because they're built for tiny people. :)

My 2 cents:

Best sports car in this group: S2000
Best GT in this group: G35
Best compromise between the two: RX-8

i personally love the s2000.... it a 4 that can.... i am a great believer that a car that is finally tuned and has the right mod's on that it can do much more then any1 can think

i dont find that the 350 looks any better then the g35.... i like the g35 looks much better.....

I said S2000. Close call with the 350Z, but looks a bit better IMO and has marginal performance advantages.

My vote put the Z ahead.....

Seriously I would take the 350Z because
1. It's a Z, I guess you just hav'to own one to know...
2. The engine(VQ35DE) can be supercharged or twin turbocharged, downright cool
3. They look soooo good in any color. copper, purple(yeah I've seen purple), black, blue.....anything. By far one of the best looking new sports cars in America.

It's also the fastest in the group.:)

but balrely faster and far les comfortable than the G35, and since it shares the same engine as the Z just slap a greddy twin turbo kit on that bad boy!

"It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning"   I could laugh all night

The G35 coupe looks sorta Tiburonish IMO, still great looking but not quite as good as the 350Z. The Greddy twin turbo kit is one of the sickest things out for the 350 and G35....so fast...:)

BTW, the G35 doesn't strike me as a "bad boy", more of a womans Z if you ask me....j/k:eek:
