I can't claim it's the fastest around a track but the 430 Scuderia is great to drive the second you buy it. It's the one car I'm afraid to tune much because it's so good already.

Fiat Nuova 500 '68, fully tuned. 78bhp, doesn't even have to brake around most corners.

Lol, at what speed is that? :sly:

Of the good ones:

Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car
Honda NSX-R LM Prototype Road Car
Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo
Volkswagen Nardo
GT by Citroën Road/concept
Ferrari 430 Scuderia
..and many more, but these are the better ones with great handling.

Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car followed by the Honda NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car if you want to count these. For production cars I've got to give it to the McLaren F1. It handles almost like a race car, you need to be very careful with the throttle when coming out of corners. The Murcielago LP-670-4 SuperVeloce is also really good overall, but I prefer the Volkswagen W12 Nardo Concept (not production though).

SLS, Scuderia, LFA, Z4M, NSX, ZR1 and R8 4.2, to tell you the truth my favorite one changes with the one im driving, theyre all amazing, the M5 is pretty decent too.

Oh tuned? Then anything really.

Stock has to be F430, M3 or possibly the Jaguar XKR R Performance, I love that car.

Oh oh! RUF RGT as well. UGH, sweet.

I'll have to get that Jaguar & try it!

And stock, yeah m3 is one of the cars that handles extremely well right out of the dealership. (That's why I laugh when I hear people brag they haven't modified the M3.... um, hullo, you don't need to!)

Otherwise I'd say the Elise seems to be very popular. Though frankly, personally, at least unmodified, I have a problem with it being very touchy about braking while you steer - it will do neither in that case. My driving style (or lack thereof) means that I find a car better handling if you can get away with more brake-during-steer moments easier.

Although when I say "road car" - I'm generally talking about what people would call "commuter cars". Even luxury saloons! Or hatch backs.
But not necessarily high-performance road going sports cars or whatever.
Or the road version concept cars or whatever that are basically like race cars.
IE: The Mazda Furai is NOT a road car in the sense you would stick a baby seat in it & take it to the grocery store. :D

I dont know about best, but certainly, for me, the easiest car i own to go mentally quick with is my sl65. Just soo rapid!

At the other end, i have a cizeta project that has become a monstrosity! It can easily win EVERY OFFLINE RACE NOW! XD except maybe the fgt one, but im working on it! Lol joke, but it has turned out so much better than i would have ever suspected possible!

However, of all my cars, my nearly stock prowler handles the best! Stage one weigh reduction, stage 2 na engine upgrade. Race exhaust and race suspension installed. It out drags a 458 (wtf?!?!) And out steers everything. It has soo much poise just now, im taking the last essess before the first longish norschleife straigh at about eighty mph. On SPORTS MEDIUMS!!! Its an amazing car, and i love it now sooo much!

Unmodded road cars? For me, it is either an elise, a mclaren f1, ferrari 458 or, shockingly, the stratos. To whoever mentioned it earlier, i know exactly what youre meaning with it; if you can make it work, it WORKS!

Huge fan of the Scuderia and GT-R V spec. Another little gem I cam across was the Renault Clio (don't laugh till you try it). I know it isn't a huge horsepower car, but I find I almost can't overdrive it through a turn. Fun little car that you can be very aggressive with.

👍

To be honest - tuning a car can make so many cars handle great, also I'm not going to vote for 'pre' tuned cars like the MINES, Amuse, Spoons etc etc as although they are road cars, they have the benefit of being 'tuned' by a tuner, so are going to feel very good.

My votes would be :

RX7 Spirit R '02
Honda NSX (any really)
M3 GTR / CSL
Scuderia
Lotus Esprit 350 (although that's a factory 'special', a bit like a tuned car - but I'm being biased as I like Lotus :D )
Subaru Spec C - both '04 and '05

👍

-Skyline And NSX LM Roadcars. Street Legal Race cars.
-Elise ? In its own supercornering way in lower hp racing.
-Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) '02 (Premium). Is a real fun must have driven.
-Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce '09 . Its So Bald And Powerfull (+ A little heavy) yet very nice lookin And Got some special supercar 4x4 Handling.
-Ferrari 430 Scuderia '07 . It does what u ask It to do, No more No less (If u remember to brake a little early. Couse it looks like a race car but realy isnt).
-RUF RGT . If u get to know its RR handling its realy fast.
...

BMW M3 CSL - fwd
Subaru 22B - awd

imo.

i never knew they made CSL's fwd...

in my opinion the best handling would be

-M3 (e46)
-M3 CSL
-GT by Citroen
-F430 Scud
-both Mclarens
i know there is many more buy i havnt played GT5 since psn went down so i dont remember

RUF RGT, if and only if, you learn to drive it properly.

Wondering what you guys thought as a great road car. Driving the 458 Italia with the mods is awesome but I'm sure there better ones out there?

I'm just gonna state the obvious and says the r390 is the fastest production car in the game.

Welcome to GT Planet Guys!

I agree with the Audi R8 4.2 FSI, I Like it more than the V10 version and has fantastic handeling, But my favorite road car would have to be Between these 5: ( Sorry I cant choose between them!)💡

98 Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car
94 McLaren F1
02 Ferrari Enzo
? Honda NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car
92 Jaguar XJ220

Very Great Cars to drive In my opinion:tup:

I'm just gonna state the obvious and says the r390 is the fastest production car in the game.

Only 2 R390 road cars were ever built, and one is stored at Nissan's Zama warehouse. The street-legal road car is capable of running 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and 0-100 mph in just 6.8 seconds. The 1/4 mile is accomplished in just 11.1 seconds at 134 mph (216 km/h). The top speed is 220 mph (350 km/h

The Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG (R230) ‘04 is a very fast car, it'll get up to 1,000HP which I'm trying to do right now.

I like the Dodge Viper ACR, not many things can touch it.

Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 [/thread] If only it were a road car. :indiff:

So I'll settle with my modified Elise. Apparently the R390 is broken in terms of handling but I haven't tried it so I will never know until I have one in my back pocket. I remember though if you tuned it fully in GT4 it was essentially an LMP. It was also the first car to get me to 300mph+ in that game :D
