Give a thumbs up if you actually enjoy the new standard interiors, as I do.

My favorite "blacked out" so far is the Lancia Stratos in a rally race.

ooh decisions decisions it has to be caterham very closely followed by FGT. I live very close to a caterham building company and get to see them all the time so I am delighted I get the full caterham experience on the nurburgring now. Thanks Kaz

We need a list of standard cars with decent interiors.
I'm so disappointed....even the interiors of the Veyron and R8 LMS Race Car (Team PlayStation) '09 are blacked out. Those are the most recent standard cars!! (they weren't in GT4)
And I expected the FGT's rpm LEDs to work

I have tried many and have enjoyed most. The steering wheel, in the '62 Buick Special, however is a big distracting. It seems way too big and too high. The Pug 905 LMP car, even though it is not detailed, is the correct shape and gives a great sense of speed on Lemans. I even enjoyed the Dodge Ram, and when you look behind, you can tell it is a 4 door truck and even has the rear sliding window detailed.

I do have a little negative about them though, as someone else mentioned, you can not see the hood or emblems. I was driving the 2000 Cobra R, and was expecting to see a cowl hood and the double humps that are on the dash in 94-04 mustangs, but neither was there, nor did the wiper work to wipe away the rain drops. It just looks like the windshield has RainX on it. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the cockpit view, those are just a couple of things that I didn't particularly like.

I looked at the interior on my Veyron expecting this.

But I got a freakin' silhouette. :(

I just drove the 22b, and to be honest, I lol'd so hard when I saw the interior... I could have done a better job just by sticking black masking tape on my monitor!

That looks SWEET!

And what about the BMW V12 LMR or other open cockpit LMPs/Race Cars? :D

I tried the Pescarolo and it looked fantastic. The dashboard is pretty much pixelated but the camera is placed at a way that it isn't distracting. Gonna try out the rest 👍

And FGT's cockpit is amazing!

EDIT: The V12 LMR's cockpit is excellent, too. The dashboard itself is blacked out and you can only see it if the sun is beaming down on it. I also tried the Sauber and it's just the black bars.

Could do some more but I'd rather let you guys see them for yourselves ;)

I just wish we could see the hood and other stuff that would normally stand out when in cockpit mode, can't believe that even GT on the PSP had that but GT5 doesn't :/

i know...does KAZ know we cant see the rest of the car? spoiler, hood...etc..? is this going to be fixed?

You know guys, I have left the PD Gran Prix in A-Spec since I've never really been bothered to do it, and I've had the game from release. Now for the first time I am really looking forward to the event since PD has made the Formula Gran Turismo so awesome.

The worst interior I've seen was the Bentley. The best was the Caterham, though I haven't tried the Suzuki GSX or Prowler. The FGT's not bad either, and so much easier to drive.

I love the FGT's "interior", I'll be driving it a lot more now.

Me too, though admittedly I left it because it took forever and I kept messing up a couple of races and ending up with second in the championship :dunce:

But since then an earlier update lets us save between races, and now the cockpit view...I always used to use chase cam and I still have issues with figuring where the extremities of the car are in cockpit, but trying most of the open cars tonight, I realised it really is much easier to control, with a DS3, in bumper/cockpit view.

And now an FGT seasonal too, with the thus far absent from seasonals High Speed Ring. Nice :)

All this, and Spa, is really rebooting my interest in this game. And there will most likely be more DLC, and perhaps more updates 2.01 etc. also.

WHAT THE F__K WITH THE SUZUKI GSX-R CONCEPT!

Notice the Wheel

High polygon models , Hi Res texture, Bump mapping... external model are totally different story!

(BTW... I think PD just put the Gadgets which is done a long time and that were give up to use in early years...)
Eventually that car will become a premium with just a little more work

The Tank Car has just had the camera placed behind the wheel, whereas the Prowler and that GSX thing have had a separate model interior roughly built from scratch. Looking very much near Premium, it goes to show that the main time consuming act when making a Premium car is the body.
