I'm tuning my black edition and when it shifts into third gear the car literally DIPS down. Its not smooth at all...is it a suspension or transmission problem?

Thanks!

Transmission you need to adjust the gears to where they shift into the power ban

Could you explain a bit more please aha I'm don't know the expert talk

Your car needs to shift at max power and when it shifts the RPMs drop right into max torque. That is how my black edition is. It did take me a while to get it right.

Ok cool. Yeah if you make your transmissions like that not many people will be able to beat you. I have only had a TC beat mine when i do drag mine (which the account it is on i don't really use much anymore)

This is how the gears should look on your Black edition:

If your car is bucking when you shift into 3rd, or as I call it "taking a dump" it means your 3rd gear is too long. So shorten it up (move the cursor to the right) and align the other gears with it.

really? mine looks more like this *taken from master shakes tuning guide for dummies* just the gear pattern, not the topspeed.

Thanks for the info guys really appreciate it! I've been through these threads looking at gtr info and I've been able to get 8.945 consistently in automatic.... good or bad?

If its a FTL then it's good

I don't think it is bs because I met a guy with a 8.892 GTR BE and he was beating everyone by 2 to 3 car lengths including me and my GTR isn't slow. Mine runs 8.912

Difference in reaction time (tree) can easily be 2 to 3 car lengths

also, skid recovery force could have been on and the car tuned for it.

i mean think of it rationally. the difference between 8.892 and 8.912 is not 2 - 3 car lengths. its more like.. a fender..

Well I know he wasn't using SRF because I looked at him in the screen in the lobby and he wasn't treeing me because I got a better start and he caught up to me and beat me. If you his name was TheBuggati or something like that.
