Oh ok well bulbs are a heck of a lot cheaper than a new car. 👍
My daily driver is dying and I wil have to get something eventually thats why I was watching this thread. I will probably get a 98-2002 ish grand prix.

No I never really made a decision, I don't know if I'm going to get a new car as of now because I'm in the market to buy a house. If I get a house I won't be getting a new car, so I don't know.

You must be rolling in some sweet mula right now. Your only 20, you just bought your GF a $3,000 ring and now your looking at a house and getting married.
Hmm wait mabey I dont even want to total up how much stuff I bought the last couple years for my girlfriend and I. My hobbies make $3,000 look very reasonable.
Your still doing quite well for only 20 years old. 👍 I had absolutely nothing when I was 20. Ive been working my butt off to get what I have now.

GM paid well....really well. I have a full ride to college because of acedemics, my truck is paid for, and I still live ay home. I pretty much just put my money into the stock market because I don't have any expenses other then insurence which is like 65 buck a month, a cell phone bill, and gas. So I just have money.

Plus my girlfriend is just as well off as I am, but she got her money from her family mostly. In fact the house we are looking at is owned by her dad so he's going to give us an awesome deal on it. Hopefully everything works out and I can have a house, a wife, and a new car by the end of 2006.

Thats great you were so responsible with your money.
Oh yeah living at home is the way to go and as long as you can. I had to move out on my own when I was 18 because I hated it at home. When I moved out I started buying a place. So from that point forward it was rough for me to get ahead. Once I got my degree I starting doing so well its rediculous and im more than happy with my life now. My GF and I actualy have a hard time spending all our money on things because we pretty much own everything in life we want. Truck, daily driver cars, bought my house, a new quad, multiple gaming systems, 2 muscle cars and the list goes on. Life is good for us and it sounds like it is going to be really good for you this year. Hopefully we can meet you at my racing event in April. If not I will post plenty of videos anyway.
The only thing left in life that I realy want would be a 67 Mustang fastback (Eleanor)instead of a coupe we currently have and eventually marry my GF. Im in no hurry for marriage.

I wasn't in a hurry for marriage but meh, we've known each other forever and it seemed right.

But it's always good to be happy with life, having a sucktastic life would, well it would suck . The only thing I wish could happen was I could stay at GM, but another time perhaps.

Anywho if and when I get a new car I would really like a CTS, not the V and not even the big engine, a nice 2.8L CTS would be nice enough for me. I figure this year, since GM will have a ton of rebates and stuff I could pick one up for about 27k nicely equipt. Put about 8 grand down that my truck is worth, cash in some stocks, and finance about 7-8 grand if I had to.

Either a CTS or a new GMT900 Silverado depending on their starting price. A pick-up would be nice for Michigan weather and I could easily throw my dirt bikes in the rear.

I see that you are looking at a Grand Prix and I must say they are pretty good average cars. You can't go wrong with them, or hell you could get the GTP do a pully swap and have one really fast daily driver.

I would not want a brand new car like the CTS. Well at this point I really dont want a new car. Usually the insurance is more expensive on a brand new car, high car payments again. My daily driver Saturn is just getting old and wore out. So far the only thing that has broke in the 2+ years is the front axle. I snapped it trying to burn the tires over and over again. Yeah thats what happens when I dont drive my camaro for a while. I start beating up the daily driver.
Im not sure what I would get. The Grand prix just seem like a nice average car. I wouldnt want any power and I would prefer a 4 banger for better gas mileage. My current Saturn gets over 30mpg city and 40highway 5 speed manual tranny. Very nice even though I hate the car. If the saturn craps I can still drive the Camaro unless its snowing. I was just thinking of trading in the Saturn before it completely dies.

my ada knows someone with a 93turbo, they're supposed to be a pathetic all round car, but good power though.

tried any jags? or beemers? or mercs? you could get an eclass!, i'd personaly have a 6.0 or 5.7 monaro/gto (same thing)

I refuse to drive a Jaguar based on the fact that I've heard to many horror stories from people that they have massive failuers with things like the eletrical systems...and it cost a ton of money to get them fixed.

I refuse to drive a BMW because I just don't care for them, they are good cars but they aren't my style.

I don't care for Benz's either.

You have to remember where I live, the American car capital of the world. This influences my decision.

All I am going to say... make sure you really want the car you about to buy. Do not be afraid to compare your current love for your truck againist what you are going to buy. Don't be like me. ;) Look for something that reflects your personality as your Xtreme does. The Xtreme is probably something your moving past, but make sure your next vechile takes on that look that reflects where you are right now. I think you will love it more.

Consider that you have a "SUV" right now, and the space or capabilities you might lose by going to a car.

I would really look at why you like your current truck so much, and look for those things in your next vechile.

Going from my truck to a car was a big deal for me, and it turned out to be something that didn't work for me. I don't want the same thing to happen to you.

Why are you such a GM whore? Get a good car for a good price, tought it doesn't have to be an american car.

:dunce:

Everyone says make sure to buy a car you like, if he doesnt like any of the above then whats the big deal? He loves his GM thats for sure :D

Awwwww sounds like blazing a very happy man. Good to hear. I say buy a audi A6 avant or a Q7. But if it has to be american you might aswell just get yourself a tahohe or escalade. Or that new camaro whenever its out.

He is leaning more towards a GM car because of his very generous GM discount. ;) If I received that GM discount would buy a brand new vehicle too. Thus I drive a hooptie saturn as a daily driver.

GM discount is huge, I don't think you guys understand how much I get off. Example my Blazer stickered for a little over 25 and I got it out the door for 18,550 or something like that.

My dad had a GM discount before he changed jobs. We got a $40,000 Avalanche for $32,000 with the discount. There were some deals goin on at the time we bought it and ended up only payin around $26,000.

Actually, of the three MFG. you listed, I would worry about the Jag having an electrical problem the least. At least a new Jag. Nothing beats the entire dashboard just dying on you or your electronic brakes quitting.

Also I might just keep the Blazer and buy something as a fun car...like a Soltice or a Sky.

stay blazin, stay extreme. you'll never get the money for your mods back in re-sale. Plus, never underestimate the cheapness, and security in a paid-off vehicle!

The mods I've done only add up to a few thousand, I mean the only things really done to the truck is a drop, some lights, and some tires. Nothing special...in fact my truck really isn't all that out there is the custom world.

But I'm still pondering the though...I guess now if the right car were to come along I'd get it.

Yeah, there will some good deals offered during the discount a few months back...

I only wish my sis' b/f, Dave, would have bought the GM truck he wanted then instead of wanting to now.
