Looks very 70s on the inside. I like it.

Are they going to actually do this one? Because they've said they were going to make a 4-series to split the coupe from the 3 series since all the way back before the E46 was replaced.

I don't like it much. It's a bit dull, the lower front fascia looks weird, and that vent on the wing is out of place. And for some reason, I don't like the interior, either.

Me gusta.
Looks good inside and out. Now if it wasnt too expensive to buy and own we might see a winner. 👍

It looks nice.

But what is it with the fender vent it looks weird and it don't like it....

Wow, that's nice. I'll admit, I was worried the new 3-er coupe (or 4-er now) was going to be a bit ugly...

I like it. I'm sure the production version will have slightly toned down front and rear bumpers, and a less 1970's interior.

It looks nice.

The 'Air Breather'.. as BMW call it, is part of the 'Air Curtain', that the front bumber generates to reduce aero drag around the front wheels...

It's a transposed Hofmeister kink. How could you not like it?

I like it. First coupe version in a while I've preferred to the standard four-door 3-Series.

They need rid of that goppingly awful plastic wood on the dashboard, and those cupholders should probably be a more subdued colour too, but apart from that I quite like the brownness of the interior. The suede-lined pillars remind me of current Jaguars.

Doubt it's actual plastic though (Bangle said there wouldn't be fake wood whilst he was running the place, well he's gone for a while but still ;)) but perhaps you meant the kind of wood or typically German wood finish.

Don't mind it myself, I think it's a retro-cue from the seventies CS pictured below (now that is plastic I think) but I think I'd prefer an aluminium finish for this car instead (love the brown leather and suede headlining though).

As for the car itself, I like it, the sloping rear has a hint of Audi Sportback but less pronounced, love the detailing (including that vent) and the rear treatment which seems to integrate the exhausts.
Overall I like the rear-end better than the front (what's with BMW's current front-end treatment for most models? maybe I just need to get used to it yet).

Nice to see the 3 series coupe get fleshed out. Make an M4 faster and lighter than the M3 and I might be in love.

Am I seeing cupholders? I cant remember ever driving a German car with cupholders.

The old 3 series had cupholders.

Analog, I think you might be right about the wood. That and the whole '70s-ness of the interior reminded me of the E9/3.0CS

Good lord I hate the naming convention now employed at BMW. Hell, all of the Germans have lost their minds.

As for the car itself, it's a 3-series, coupe. Swoopy lines, awkward face. Likely to gain the not-as-great steering, ride, performance attitude that the sedan employs.

So instead we wait for the ATS coupe, and hope that BMW addresses that competition in the mid-cycle refresh.

Still not digging the vent, but the rest looks quite sexy to be honest. Then again, it looks that impressive since it doesn't really look like a production car. For now I still prefer the good 'ole E92

The way they are doing it now, most likely. Pairing would end up like that up to the 7, as I don't think there will be an 8 series for a while longer.
