Using my amazing MS Paint skills I can confirm that it is indeed the infamous '5' on the badge.

I say it's the M6 alright.

But it does look like a 6 series that is slightly modified.

Why would BMW photoshop their own car?

Most of the times if companies want to make a preview of a car, they just release a 3D model or a drawing from the designer of the car.
