The @TurnLeft Memorial Race at Sierra

View attachment 576153

The race will be held next weekend if you can make it and it is at my community page Brewguys Racing Club
ID: 1021078 Club Events The @TurnLeft Memorial Race

We will be using cars from his garage Fly Me To The Moon Tuning Garage and Elegance Automotive Guild

So join me in remembering @TurnLeft and all he did for GT6 and gtplanet, it will be a fun time.
This is a great initiative and thank you for this. Hopefully the racing starts will fit in my time zone. It will be a honour for me to join these events. :cheers:

Sorry I wasn't able to the @TurnLeft Memorial Race this weekend, RL happened, maybe in a couple of weeks.

The middle of September works for me, next week I'm on Vacation
Beach Smiley 3.gif
and the weekend after that a wedding.

So if your available and can make it, I'll post it here with the day or and time.

Took his S500 out for a few laps :). Bad point...73 bhp applied via chain drive :odd: good point...didn't need the brake pedal much :lol:

Hope you enjoy the holiday (vacation :odd::P:lol:) bud. :cheers:

EDIT: No, I don't know what a "goid point" is either ;):lol:.

I am glad you have the TT open, I have taken a couple of @TurnLeft's tunes for laps there. It's a welcome opportunity for driving solace and contemplation. The Fiat 500F was much like I imagine @Thorin Cain's experience was with the S500. More like a Sunday drive with little use for brakes, but enjoyable all the same. @TurnLeft's Subaru 22B was pure driving bliss, I highly recommend it to any who haven't tried it.
I didn't have the opportunity to know him as some of you did, and for that I feel I have truly missed out. I thoroughly enjoyed reading through his garage, enjoyed all of his tunes I tried, and always enjoyed his avatar.
I was hit harder than expected by the news of his passing and I was unable to get Sinatra tunes out of my head all weekend. My thoughts are with those of the GT Planet Community who had the privilege to call him friend, and my thoughts and prayers for his family.

He was a great guy, great tuner and really into R&D as you can see in his Garage, it's not just tunes.

Just did the New Beginner Seasonal (08/24/2016) with @TurnLeft Tune Below

TL's Sambabus.jpg

As @TurnLeft say's "Be careful to not hit other cars, it will slow you down" and (It Takes a couple of laps to get the feel of this vehicle)

But once you do it's a Helluva lot of fun to drive 👍

It's a Great tune!!! 👍 :bowdown:

FITT TUNE REVIEWS:

Shaunm80:
@Brewguy44
Best Lap Time – 1.34.926
DC – 9.4
Tune Comments – Good rotation, a little tail happy causing loss of grip on some corner exits. Lap time wise it was consistent but driving style had a few inconsistent laps although it had no effect on overall lap time, which was good. Very easy to pick a line and make it through most corner safely. Another tune I noticed with 5 gear transmission.. I find it odd given the short straight but it works pretty well indeed. I didn’t feel that I had the confidence to push it past a certain point. DC is in the 9s though due to the amazing lap time it produced. Good tune overall. Well done.

Joaosoarescso:
@Brewguy44
Best Lap Time - 1:33.245
DC - 9.7
Tune Comments - This is why i asked you your best lap time, i had to double check if the grip was set to real and it was and double check the tires... I think you did some midnight work on the track and lay down trails on the track because this Porsche can turn, just point and go, i wish it was a little bit more loose, one thing that i found out that i didn't like was braking, trailbrakes a little bit and i have to ease up and go wide, and on slow corners the wheels spins to much and i wish the 2nd gear was a little shorter... other than that very well!!

Lionheart2113:
@Brewguy44
Lap Time - 1:32.836
DC Score - 9.5
Review:
Amazing tune! Only thing was getting kicked down to 1st gear a few times, but as long as you pointed it straight, you could easily get out of the corner with little wheel spin. I see this tune getting a lot of love as it is so easy to drive....Great job!:bowdown:

TheInfamousJEW69:
@Brewguy44
Best Lap Time - 1:33.727
DC - 9.8
Tune Comments - Great tune! This car was planted! It had some understeer on corner exit that caused me to run wide a few times, but was easily worked around once I figured it out. The brakes were ok, maybe could've been a touch stronger, but it could just be the same issue I had with Cory's tune, corner speed! This tranny was a 5 speed, as I never touched sixth, but I don't think it hurt any. This would've been a perfect 10 if it wasn't for the understeer. Great Job! Another podium finisher for sure!

Bass Addict:
@Brewguy44
Best Lap Time - 1:34.126
DC - 9.7
Tune Comments - I LOVE this tune...it felt so good from the moment I touched it. For me, it is just like cory's tune but I just couldn't finish the last section and would red lap. There were some awkward shift points that hurt me and with a little tweaking, I could drive this all day. I had so many laps running ahead of cory but I just couldn't finish. I can see the potential but I need to get better. :bowdown:

Biffa3:
@Brewguy44
Best Lap Time - 1:33:523
DC - 9.5
Tune Comments -
Similar to Cory's car but a bit more forgiving of my inconsistencies. Satable under braking, good turn in and rotation with a hint of understeer through the last section.

Come the New Year, I am pulling down the big garage door and turning off the lights. :( There will be no new tunes from me.

GT6 just isn't that fun anymore for me, same old seasonal over and over again :yuck:

I'm moving on to greener pasture on the PS4, hope to see you sometime on the PS4 and maybe GTS.

To all who have helped me start this garage and to all who have tried my tunes, I THANK YOU ALL :bowdown: 👍 It was fun while it lasted.

To @TurnLeft R.I.P. , @Thorin Cain , @danbojte , @RMan72 , @Pete05 , @Ridox2JZGTE , @Bowtie-muscle and anybody else I forgot Thank You for being Good Friends and Good Racers 👍 👍 :bowdown:

You all made this a lot of fun for me here and in GT6 online. I am going to miss this, but it's time to move on to the next Racing Game on the next console.

It's been a whole lot of fun BG & I understand the motives behind your decision.

No doubt you've brewed up a decent batch for your Xmas supplies and well, someone's got to test the product so, :cheers: to you and have a Merry Xmas.

Pete :)

Notice the License Plates on the Front and Rear of the Car :mischievous: :D 👍

The Color of the Car and Rims are from a couple of his tunes.

The Car Color is From His Tune: Citroen 2CV Type '54 ( 373PP/SH )

That was his First Tune. The Rim Color is From a Couple of His Tunes.

Hi @RMan72, can you tell me the color of the car and what rims you have on "The Francis". I just looked at it more closely and that color looks real good on it and are those the OZ Wave rims on it too?

I think that color and rims represent what Francis might have done and would you mind if I changed it to honor @TurnLeft Francis Legay?

The colour is Verde Pino Metallic from the Ferrari Dino, the wheels are Oz Wave ones painted Midnight Pearl Metallic and not that you can see but the brake calipers are also painted Verde Pino Metallic.
I'd be honoured to have my colour combination on 'The Francis' 👍:bowdown:

I took her for a quick spin in the Intermediate Level 4WD: Non-Racing Car Challenge at Apricot Hill and she came away with an easy win.

With a little fettling under the hood to bring her up to the PP level 'The Francis' was able to get a gold time in the Non Racing Car Super Lap at Suzuka

@RMan72 Can you tell what settings you used to get to the PP level? I'd like to try it and Thanks again for sharing the photos, that color and rims combo are great. 👍 I just put it on and like the way the chrome on the car pops out against the color of the car. 👍 :cheers:

I added a Sports Computer, Racing Exhaust, Intake Tuning and a High RPM Range Turbo Kit.

Power limiter set to 100% should give you 476 BHP and 47.8 kgfm torque.

Not sure if you can alter the suspension a little she needs a bit more corner entry turn in but that's just me liking a pointy car.:cheers:
