Actually thought this was tonight!

Xmas and NY has really thrown my days :/

But yeah, I should be about tomorrow!

Looking forward to the test tommorow... hope someone pulls out before round 1  :nervous:

Me too, all the days flow seamlessly from one to the next

Best non calendar race would be Motegi east but DLC so AR is 2nd best ;).

I will be there as I am off tomorrow ;), I'll try do some GV/E testing and some others in the select few I want to try :).

If I can't find one on pace etc I'll go SEAT for fun.

So, anyone getting excited for the test tonight? Really hope it still has that addictive factor that made me chill the 🤬 out like Suzuka in S1 :sly: If it does, the fun factor might even account for the (imo still stupid) enduro.

Twin Ring East is possibly the most awesome TC track in GT5, discovered it last week and can't stop thinking of the carnage that would be in T1 if we're given a little freedom  Suddenly the money spent on it doesn't seem like that big a waste :)

Oh and btw I'm in favor of success ballast (reverse championship grid works best if it's only one race events) so if we can find out how much KG all cars have added to reach the limit and thus what their "range" is, it can work perfectly. Spent some time in the holiday speccing for what I said could be BTCC's sister series, I figured out that if the FF's were running 1150 KG and FR/4WD at 1200KG, they would all be able to have 50KG added/reduced. I'd advice we take the cars in their standard weight as that means we'll have a little more playing room to find a formula. IIRC the BMW with stage 3 weight requires 160KG to reach the 1400KG limit (bit high imo) so with stage 3 the "range" of the BMW would be around +/-40KG as you for obvious reasons can't make a car lighter than you can make it heavier. I'd suggest we say car weight can change +/-50KG, it does make a difference yet it should be possible for most cars.

Simple bit of Motegi East advice. Don't all go for the bloody inside.

Don't think we'll be running any Motegi's tonight, simply because I don't own the DLC. If the game somehow allows me to run it then I'll give it a go but I seriously doubt it.

Autumn Ring and Monza Wet tonight the most likely.

Monza Wet will be run at last season's settings to begin with (0 Weather/0 Changeability/70 Surface Water). We can change it if needs be.

Racing will be in your lounge as per normal though. 👍

I will be DC'd at some point, but I will be back ASAP.

Geeky's lounge open.

Think my wheel is broken!! :O

Some very encouraging stuff tonight guys! Cars look close and there's a lot of good drivers who were both there and weren't there! Not only was the racing good but it was also clean 👍

More of the same next Thursday, 7pm. Remember to have decided your cars and teams by then (that includes teams confirming names). 👍

Had fun in my overly oversteery Seat in the practice races at AR race 1 was ok till killa spun his BMW and it came around my way. Race 2 was decent enough, killa waited up as he lost 5 secs in one lap for us and nearly back fired on him.

The little test at Spa was ok, did a 2:36.8 but I couldn't be bothered with a 3 lap race there as it's such a draft fest at that length. So it barely any skill as you can leach over a second off the faster guys in draft around a lap, not fun for my tastes. Spa is good aslong as you have enough laps so after the first few it spaces out a bit and becomes a lot less hectic. Enduro at Spa will be great ofc, even a 10-15 lap race is fun. (Enduros ftw 👍)

I'll test later in the week to see if I will just stick to Seat since it's unused and for fun, since I will not make all rounds so have no baring on the title.

Edit: Also one thing I can note is. Driving these cars (SS's) is more fun than driving Toca cars (RMs). ;)

Yeah sorry bout that. It sure was fun to hunt down first place from 11 seconds behind. Just missed out. Great racing though. Very clean. I hope its like this for the whole season.

killa and skeng: the new stewards' group is now open. 👍

Might have to back out. Reason:

7 pm UK time > 8 PM my time > no good for parents > reason > school on Friday > up at 15 to **** in the morning

Plus, as much as I try to look away from it, there are some important bits which I just don't agree with :)

Are you confirming you want to pull out then? I have reserves who want to race, so please make up your mind today 👍

If rallymorten leaves I'm going to have to smooth out the R35 situation by giving him a sign-up of his own, alongside the one where he shares jb's car, since I messed that up. Should still be OK for Rob (first reserve) though as I've not heard from iamrj7 in some time, so I'm not sure if he will actually appear.

Plus there's always the chance of missing drivers each week. I'm thinking that Race 1 will definitely begin around 7.15pm, so that gives people a little extra time to make it. Please do try to be on time though.

Yeah, what the heck, I'm too busy with school and my own Series anyway

OK then, no problems. :)

rallymorten has been replaced by R35 in the line-up.

Don't worry Rob as I still think it's likely you'll race in Round 1 anyway, if last season's no shows are anything to go by. 👍

No problem 👍

My motivation is a bit dry at the moment so I'm not even going to touch the PS3 until the 17th :)

Ignore my last post,

I AM UNABLE TO GET TO THE RACE THURSDAY

Don't worry, this Thursday is only a test race night, the season doesn't begin until the Thursday after (17th) 👍

Has everyone chosen cars?

Has everyone chosen cars?

Not everyone, I believe it's just you, R35 and iamrj7 who need to decide.

Deadline is Thursday at 7pm for car choices and for forming teams. Make it happen people!

Isn't R35 in the Mazda like us?
