This game is awesome, has anyone else here got it yet? The only fault with it, is theres too many screens and loading but the game is a definite 10/10.

I know theres threads from before the games been out, I did check and I didn't notice any about who owns the game or any since it's release today at all.

I have this demo and since yesterday I have the full version too. It´s great, I mean, I´m playing with the weakest cars and the speed is already aewsome. I gotta get home soon to play some more.

Sure is a 10/10

I bought it 2 days ago. All I can say is that it's easily the best arcade racer I've EVER played :D.

btw, does anyone play online? I'm usually known as eMadHatter

Its awesome. It has a great sense of speed, and so much more.

A major improvement over 2, along with the crash mode! This game deserves the 10/10. Expect this racing game to take over other online racers on the XBOX.

DId it come out earlier than Sept. 10? Or did you reserve it?

The game was released on September 7, but it was on the web since Sept. 5 for PS2, and a couple of days before for Xbox.

There were some friends of mine playing online even before the game release. Of course the server was pretty much empty.

I heard Burnout 3 came with a NFSU 2 demo.
it did, and the NFSU2 demo is even worse than the game's horrible music. The gameplay somehow got worse than the original, the graphics suck compared to burnout 3, and the physics are horrible for an arcade racer. In some cases, it's almost as bad as auto modellista when using the fwd lancer. In other cases, the car understeers by a rediculous amount.

How did they get the game to play online?!? It's not possible to take copied ps2 games online due to the DNAS protection. People recently figured out how to copy the dnas id onto their games so they'll play BUT, if sony detects multiple players at the same time using the same DNAS ID, they will generally do a permanent ban on the console...

I'd say so... it depends on what you like. SRS will have the typical tuner cars and mods. Burnout 3 is all about the fast gameplay and crash engine.

Personally, i'd take burnout 3 since all emphasis is on the game itself rather than modding the car. You can jump right into the action and the game is different every time you play through it (aside from the tracks of course)

What kinda tasks do you have to complete, is it working for a gang or do you play as a lone character? It does look good, one last thing is the game better than NFS ?

Wrong, this only works for Socom2, and that´s since last Thursday when they did an update on the server to fix some bugs. Now they are checking the ID, and people who use copied games to play can´t log in on the server no longer.

But as I´ve said, this is currently only happening on Socom 2, and they are not banning any consoles, cause you can still play any other online games with DNAS copies.

I've heard that it bugs soo much online that it's almost unplayeble.
The only thing I really really love in this game is the takedowns!

Got this game yesterday (Friday). Played a few hours before work and then left work early just to get home to play it... it's that good. I've got really addicted to smashing the opposition into walls and trucks and all sorts. Takedowns are really cool, but they distract me from racing.

So my fav mode is Road Rage :D Just cruising along smashing people up right left and centre is so much fun!

Crash mode is a bit dull in comparison to the rest of the game, whereas in Burnout 2 it was one of the better features.

Burnout 3 rocks, buy it.

Oh yeah, the loading times are looooong when you play for the first time and it's kinda hard to navigate around to find which races still need doing etc, but after a while you accept it and it's not a problem.

Loading times should be a thing of the past really. But if it's such a great game, a bit of loading shouln't distract me from buying it.

The loading times will never be a thing of the past until a new medium is used to hold the data. I believe it's impossible to eliminate all loading times from cd/dvds. R* have reduced the gap to a small loading time when entering/exiting buildings in GTA:SA, but you won't get much better than that yet. Bring back good old fasioned carts like N64. Loading times were completely irrelevant :)

I wouldn't say "Don't buy Burnout 3 because there's a wait whilst loading" as that's a bit silly. The game is SO good, you won't care about the loading times after a couple of hours gaming.

Who finds the radio dude annoying in Burnout 3? I read quite a few reviews and a number of them say he gets annoying, but i'm not there yet. I think some of his comments are pretty funny actually, especially the Euro races.

demon of speed
Thanks 9mm, but what is the aim of the game?

To win races and smash the opposition, except in crash mode where you just have to create huge crashes. There is no real missions as such, wining races just opens up more races.

The best explanation I can give is, have you seen 'The Bourn Supremacy', the car chase at the end in Moscow, it's sort of like that.

I agree. Burnout 3 is by far the best arcade racer I've played.

It brings a lot of innovative ideas to the arcade racing genre, most of which are flawless and really add to the whole gameplay experience.

I think that most of the people here have already seen how awesome the graphics are, so I will not say anything more about that.

Minor flaws can be found here and there, but they are so unimportant and small, it would be stupid to complain about them. Especially when you see that after a while, you won't even care about them.

Good stuff! 👍

Burnout 2 had low replay value. thankfully i have a blockbuster game pass :). I may rent the xbox version if i like it enough i'll buy the PS2 version.
