I'll give it 6 months max before the time savers pack appears on the stores. Not for just 4 quid like before either.

Played the 2 hours you see in the video and it’s Classic Paradise. AFAICT literally nothing has changed aside from HD textures, 60FPS (can’t remember if PS3 was 30 or 60) and 4K.

Events are identical, no MT’s or paid DLC (at least not in the Trial) and the same fun Burnout physics.

Also all the songs from Paradise have remained, including the classic Burnout tracks and the classical music.
 
The Achievements is basically the same as the original Burnout Paradise when it went into Cagney, some Island trophy stuff is there too, like the original game, but I guess it gets supported for much more longer, so that's a plus in itself.
 
Definitely picking this up. Burnout was my childhood. Didn't get a chance to taste the multiplayer of the original Paradise.
 
Everyone who is buying this please send me a friend request. I want to recreate the banter of the original multiplayer. (Minus the dodgy mugshots)

One of the best games I played on the PS3 so no doubt ill get this for PS4 on Friday and I cant wait. 👍

So turns out that having an Extreme Hot Rod unlocked from the start means you can cheese through the Time Road Rules in about 90 minutes. Already got my Carbon Ikusa GT.
 
I will be purchasing this game after I finish work today as I was a huge fan of the original and very much looking forward to
playing this again though I have forgotten most of the game to be fair as it was some years ago since I played it.

I will try to join the community mentioned when I get online after work.
 
Is this the best remaster on the market currently? No, not really - Bluepoint's remasters of various Sony games like Shadow Of The Colossus and the PS3 Uncharted games blow Paradise out of the water in terms of remasters that really put the work in, but the game looks great, and seeing a lot of the textures bumped up to 1080P and beyond is quite nice, especially in terms of menus and road signs, etc. Digital Foundry has a good video comparing the base PC version released a few years ago compared to Xbox One X at 4K, and a lot of it is under the hood stuff that is hard to notice at first glance:



But really, all of that is moot to me. It's Burnout Paradise. A game that I grew up on, and had my first real formative online experience with. And all of that is preserved wonderfully. Took me about an hour and some change to find all the collectibles on Big Surf Island - and now the real fun begins.
