I agree, it's the shiz. I've never seen anything that looks like it's got so much depth to it before. It errupts in multiple layers with thin clouds spreading out and the dense stuff clouding up in the centre. Never thought i'd get so interested over in game smoke, but they've really pulled something off with this game 👍

Why in the hell is the game 60 bucks? There is no way I'm paying that for a game.

£26.99 Delivered @ Play.com. You need to look around for PC. For consoles it looks like it's more like £40 or $60, which is a bit much.

Yay its finally arrived, I be playing it in the next cople of mins. I know i got a lot of screens to post up for other games, while still posting up screens of COD2 running on my PC.

Just picked it up today. Here's some screenshots.

Notice the smoke effect that everyone is who-hawing over.

I was crawling in pipe on this one. The holes in the pipe are from being shot at.

Some additional shots:

I really want to run the game at a lower resolution (1024x768) with trilinear filtering, but running anything besides the native resolution on an LCD isn't pretty. So alas, I'm stuck with 1280x1024 and crappy bilinear filtering. :(

Still finding the right balance between looks and speed folks.

But here are some screens i took. When I took these i forgott to put the res to 1024x768.

I be posting up my best online score, if anyone wants to challenge me. Then bring it mates.

I mean European sorry about that was typing fast, or I get bad ping. Also does anyone have the game crash on them when they lunch the game after closing it down.

I have lowered the res in multiplayer mode to 800x600, and AA down to 2X or none. Because I need a lot of frames on multiplayer mode.

Before my 2nd game online, I got to 8 kills before i got my first death. Glad at the end of the 2nd game i still had a nice score.

If you have most details on high and online then a lower res is better for online modes. Remember when in a fast paced game hunting down the other team fast, more frames are needed online.

i finally got around to downloading COD2 demo. i didnt think it would run well on my 9600XT. but it does with very good graphics. i havent tried with aa an af on yet though.. i was very impressed with the gameplay. but of course i've never bought a COD game. the last game i bought like this was RTCW back when i had my geforce2. Very well made. :) firefights are interesting but the AI are a bit stupid sometimes. "i watched one of my buddies duck and cover when a grenade was 2 inches from his head instead of running away."

somehow COD2 runs faster on my pc than cod1....

Its only a demo, you should play the full version. The AI gets harder with the higher game hardnest setting set.

Of course there is gore, it looks nice when it flys online.

But I mean to the level of like SOFII kind of gore where you can take a knife and cut limbs off and see blood squirt and the insides of the arm. That level??
