Actually, the graphics have little to do with the storage mechanism, just relate to how much data can be fitted. Which yes I guess one could effectively argue that would help with storing textures, but modern graphics depend more on the GPU and ability to handle floating point operations, etc.

The big appeal to the PS3 over the XBOX was the Blu-Ray movies, since at the time I didn't game much when I purchased it.

As a final off-topic note, just take the time to vacuum... a Roomba has its own issues and never quite seem to work how you'd like. Though if you are determined, I use to see them on woot on a regular basis.

Now, back on topic, since I can imagine the mods are going to have a headache sorting out all the tangents in numerous threads from the wonderful PSN errors.

Who here uses Hardline? I've been having this perk grow on me this prestige extensively, as I tend to score much better getting that Predator one kill sooner, as it quickly cascades into a Pave Low.

I know 3 people that have roomba's and they work great, the key is not to buy the cheap one. If you go ahead and just spend the money for a decent model then they work better than expected. I thought they wouldn't work well and was shown by a mate how well it works:tup:

Ok, done with that. I use hardline on my tar class since stopping power isnt needed. I will start out with it and then once I get my AC I will keep rusing till I die then switch to my danger close class:)
 
I cant stand getting rid of Stopping Power when I dont have to, hardline is just a waste to me, I get the kill streaks regardless :D.

Just a side note, Time Attack, would you be able to start sentences with capitals? It just makes it easier to distiguish the start of a sentence. No personal hatred or anything, you might end up with a warning from it in the future, dont want that hey.

I use Hardline but only on bigger maps because on smaller maps like highrise and Scrayard their getting shared as you get killed just waiting around the red smoke.

As did I. I now use predator, harrier, chopper gunner/AC-130 ( depending on the map as to what I use chopper or ac ) The map determines what streaks I use also too though. On skidrow for example I don't use the larger streaks like the chopper gunner just because it is hard to get any kills with it because most of the fighting is done under cover, I usually use uav, counter uav, and harrier.

Anyone ever watch some of the mw2 videos on youtube? I was watching one and I told the kid he sounded like a woman with how he wouldn't shut up. Hes like yeah will uh maybe I am. lol. hes probably like 15 and hes all like omg why is the sky blue I love this weapon I hate this map why is the grass green omgz...

Everyone has their issues... some people talk too much on the mics, others scream profanities when they die... I can think of a few people that do this.

Bah, care packages. I'll toss them on during team play with GTPers or the E drop, but since I do a lot of FFA, I just leave Predator, Harrier, Pave Low on.

As for Stopping Power... it is just on my Sniper setups now. I found I will get the kills regardless, as I am normally flanking when I do so. If not, usually the enemy is blind/stunned or some other situation where I still have the advantage. With Scavenger, I can just reload on grenades so I am rarely conservative with their use.

I've been thinking what a great idea it would be to be able to have different kill streaks for each class. Rather than change them for each map if you had the option to set them based on what you're using the class for it would be helpful.

Right now I'm fairly happy with pred/harrier/pave low but obviously on some maps I'd love to still have a uav.

You know, I took a few days off after that night and I don't think I've raged since. In fact I've had nothing but a good time since coming back. I've had a few times where I have died in a very inopportune moment but these things happen I guess.
 
What's you blokes/sheila's opinions on rapid fire modded controllers? I have momentary push switches and also a few 555 times chips laying around and if its an older board I have in mine I would only need the switch, newer ones require chip because the ground doesn't pulse like in the older ones. I was going to mod mine because using a full auto FAL would be so sweet, but I wanted to get some input to see how people felt about it, is it cheating or not? I think not because anyone can mod there's and you can buy rapid fire controllers at the store so everyone can have one, unlike mods like no clip and god mode which are just plain cheating because that's not available to everyone. If everyone here thinks its not right then I'm not going to do it. Oh, spas with slight of hand pro and a modded controller....oh god.....
 
If you use it in a public game its cheating. If you use it in a private match or offline then its whatever. It doesn't matter that they are available to everyone. Some people chose to just play the game how it is. I'm not telling you to not mod your system just don't use it in public games.
 
Well if I modded it or bought one then it would be for online play, I just see cheating as something not everyone can do. Just like not everyone can mod the mp_data to make 1mill xp each kill, I can, but I don't. If I did I wouldn't be 1st pres at lvl 59 :) That is cheating to me. I didn't want to do my controller if everyone see's it as cheating here because if you guys do then I know everyone else I kill will, and I don't want that.
 
well I think its similar to the people doing the care package glitch. Sure it was a part of the game for a while and lots of people knew how to do it but that didn't make it right and lots of people chose not to do it and to just play the game for what it was.

Its no different than someone using a wall hack or anything else. It's going outside the normal ways of playing the game to get an edge that most people won't have.
 
I wish I could of recorded a stinger kill I got on a chopper. I fired at it from directly below it and it popped some flares. The missile went for the flares only to relock on the copter, turn around and hit it on the top.
 
If anyone that has xbox wants me to mod their gamesave.svg file to mess around in campaign and do fun things like super speed and god mode, super jump, low gravity, laser dot sights, and a good bit more let me know and I can show you where to get the stuff to get the .svg off your HD so I can download it to mod it for you.

I don't get these people that post complaining vids on youtube. I'll agree if it is something genuinely bad, such as spawn points but when they moan about campers or knifers I just think they are idiots. If it pisses them off so much, don't play! There is always a counteraction to such players, work it out!

It's the few moaners that got Care Package running removed, spoiling the fun for thousands of others.
 
I think having a Stryker come in for a killstreak reward would be awesome. Instead of a Pavelow or something, you get an automated Stryker that drives around. It would be epic if there was a laser designator as an attachment and can be used to direct fire.

But I can see a lot of problems with it, though it can be massive fun for the guy who called it in.
 
The AC130 is so much better than the chopper gunner, because you can easily get the same amount of kills as it, and it's much harder to shoot down. I got a chopper gunner on Afgan and after only getting 1 kill, it got shot down.

I had the closest game ever on Friday at Wasteland. It was TDM, and my team had 6800 while the other had about 7200. I decided to use my care package, and what do you know, AC130. Since everyone on the other team was in the cave, I shot it into the cave and got a great multikill, winning the game. Final score was 7500-7400. It was also my highest score in TDM ever, over 3000.
 
What's the best sniper rifle out there? I use a Barret .50 cal w/ HBS and thermal scope. Is this the best rifle?

Yes, it's the best one in the game. I don't like using it because it feels sloppy to me, I either use the intervention or the 2200. I can't stand the thermal though, I can see way better with just the plain stock scope, the thermal just seems like your looking at a tv in rapture.

That depends what you mean by best, there's no magic sniper rifle which overpowers all, it's easy and correct to argue that the Barretts high recoil means that the Interventions lower recoil allows a better second shot if one is needed because you can track the target quicker even though the bolt action cycle is slightly longer then the Barretts time to settle down. Similarly, those who aren't one shot masters may prefer the W2000 or M21 as they can fire quicker and more accurately if they can't make the first shot very often.

Everyone is always chasing magic set ups and weapons but the simple answer is often there is no best outright, but there is a preference to be found. Try them all, there's no harm in it.

I switch between Intervention and Barret. The 50.cal is great with an ACOG as there is no wobble as you aim at all, couple that with slight of hand pro and it's a deadly quickscope/midrange sniper. Personally I find the Intervention better with a normal scope + FMJ, does slightly less damage than the Barret in my opinion but still makes for a very effective mid/long range sniper.
