I finally got around to getting the title for 500 kills with every AR. I went 2 prestige levels plus probably enough exp to get through 2 more before using the M4A1. I used it before prestige 1, but not after that. Have mastery for all the ARs except the FAL and M16, which I'll get eventually. Lots of things left to accomplish in MW2.

To Azure, Eric, A6 and everyone else I've grouped up with...it was a blast. Starting Tuesday though, FFXIII will be taking up my time. I'm not giving up MW2 for good, I will continue to play it, just not daily as I have been the past month+.
 
Silly errors keep denying me my first nuke! Set it up for a Domination Wasteland earlier, got to 10 kills when my harriers were shot down, needing to refill my Noobtube ammo I switch to One Man Army but my stupid analogue stick stuck up which switched me to the default Riot shield class, got close enough to get my AC130 but I couldn't run from the other 6 guys around. End of Streak 1. Streak 2 got me to Harriers before I got shot by some guy spraying a fixed gun around, called in Harriers right after I re-spawned and got all 8 enemy players with the bombing planes, then the hovering one got shot down before it killed anyone. Got close to getting more Harriers again but the match ended too soon, ended up 48-5.
 
I've had a hit or miss day with my connection. Either I have four bars or the game ends early because of some stupid error. I got lucky and got put into another easy game with a bunch of noobs but only got to play one game before PSN decided to kick me off.

Noooo! When my friends tell me about the new games they are into, I always tell them if it doesn't have M4 Carbine, it's a nerd game. :p Seriously though, that's too bad, because I think our [GTP] clan has pretty good chemistry. I've never played with any groups I'm so comfortable playing with, even going back to CoD4. 👍

Speaking of, will anybody be playing tonight?

Out of all the classes, it had to be the riot shield. :lol:
 
I am taking a break right now because my eyes need to rest for just a bit, but I will be back on sometime tonight. I changed my UMP .45 class to have Marathon and Lightweight and I have been having a blast with it. I had tried the combination out before, but it worked terribly. Now that I know the maps much better (and am likely a bit better player), it is working out quite nicely. I have also included the USP .45 in this class and put silencers on both. I absolutely love running up behind someone switching to the USP and laying a quick three or four rounds into them.
 
Managed to piss off some Boosters when using my Knife Account, unfortunately the one benefiting from the boosting was on my team so all I could really do is slow down the gain. However I slowed it down enough for the domination match to end. They tried it again in the next match so I kept following them around, eventually they rage quit and sent me some hate mail.
 
I am thinking about selling this to a worthy cause, Just Cause 2. This is just becoming an annoyance and kind of boring when my friends arent on. Just Cause 2 look amazing, infinite possibilities and sometime after release there will probably be multiplayer. Also, only on PS3, there is a video recorder, plays back your last 30 seconds and can upload to youtube. You can also set that to 10 minutes if you want, looking forward to this.
 
Good god I wish the map pack would come out already, I get tired of maps fairly quickly and some new ones would make the game fresh once more. The only joy I am having right now is ruining boosters games :) Or playing with people I know, which is rare. Usually when anyone I know is on they are either playing a game type I don't play or I am doing just balls that night and not enjoying it at all.

I wasn't impressed with their World at War, so after MW2, I figured I'm done with the CoD series anyway.

I wasn't that impressed either but at least they put out content and it wasn't horrible. I just can't find another shooter that has the feel that any of the COD games have regardless if its Treyarch or IW that make it, they just have a feel to them that other FPS's just don't have, if that even makes sense to anyone.

It definitely was not bad. And since CoD4/WaW/MW2 are the only online FPS I've ever played, I can relate on on the familiarity to their gameplay.

I just didn't enjoy the clumsy WWII weapons, and I also thought the CoD4 was little more refined. Definitely less glitching. :D Also, shooting Japanese people is bad, but shooting others as the Japanese definitely felt good. :p j/k On a serious note, I did love the maps in that game. 👍
 
I'm not too stressed, as I can always go back to Counter Strike or other Source engine games on the PC.

I do find this typical of Activision and other big labels to go about screwing something up so royally.
 
holy 🤬! i just had an epic kill. defending C by myself at underpass, i killed one guy, double killed another as his team mate jumped in the line of fire and killed a third guy with my throwing knife in mid air as he jumped down to the lower level! :D

Yes, it would refresh the game, I am already thinking of selling it towards Just Cause 2. If it is this badly haulted then I think I might as well go ahead and sell it in a month or two. This will probably be the last of the CoD series I will get, 4 was good but now I think it has lost the novelty and the genuinely fun online play of only a year or two ago.
 
Fellow booster hunters will love what I just went through for the last 2 hours or so. I was bored so I started trolling FFA matches looking for boosters when I came into a lobby in which the entire lobby but me was all friends and all boosting! They said ok we are going to area X to boost so come here with us and use your tac, so I went there and once all of them were there I used my C4 with danger close and blew all of them out there boots! After that they figured out I wasn't with them in this and set up guards at all points to block me from getting to the person that was getting the nuke. The first 6 or 7 games they did keep me from him, although I had almost 30 kills and less than 5 deaths on each match. The people were saying man I bet this guy is laughing at us because its 8 on 1 and he is ripping us new ones out here. The last match which is where they decided to quit for the night I got to the guy by killing 3 of them with a semtex ( they were all using riot ) and then taking one of the shields and just strolling in and bashing him! Basically if they didn't see someone (me) with a riot shield then they would shoot, and since I took one of theirs they didn't even bother to look at the name and just payed me no mind :) That pissed him off because when I killed him and the kills I had he couldn't get his precious nuke so after that they quit....haha. It was the most fun I have had on MW2 yet. They actually didn't mind me being in the match because they said it made it sort of fun, even though I was tearing them to bits. For those with xbl, is there a way to search a gamertag and join a match without having sent them a message or a friend request? I don't want to be there friend but I would love to bust as many partys they start as possible.... :) Wish I had a pvr tonight!

Thats not a bad idea really, I will look on his list and see who wasn't in that boost-o-rama this morning and try to add them. That is blues legend Otis Rush, him and his fresh ass fade:tup: Played on the whole blues and selling your soul to the devil deal with the comment above him too:sly:




EDIT: For any of you that are running a phone with android OS there is an app called modern info 2 that is free on the market. It shows all the challenges and titles and emblems and how to unlock them etc. The dev just added weapons with all the challenges and what gets unlocked etc. for them also.

Well I juts had fun trying to deal with a guy outside of the map on Derail.

After the match, a few people gave him crap and he tried to argue that it takes skill and is fun. I declared "yes, so much skill to crouch and slide around 1mm at a time hitting the button to stand up till you start floating."

the Guy: "Naw man, it isn't that simple."

Me: "Oh, my bad. Legacy Southpaw to slide back and forth 1mm at a time hitting the stand button, whoops. Very hard to pull off after youtubing the spots, very hard."

Someone else told him to go play Little Big Planet if he can't handle dying on the ground :lol:

I know how to do elevators though. They aren't hard, and the only time I've bothered to use one was to get the Lightweight challenge done in a single prestige.
 
I don't use them to play in game but I did use the Karachi elevator to get my lightweight and marathon challenges complete in 2 matches :) Allot of people can't do elevators, I show A6 the Karachi one and I believe one of the Derail ones, one night. Jump elevators are a different story, those are reserved for the few of us ;)
 
I move like I'm in a wheelchair though. I'm really nimble in real life, but literal opposite in CoD games. :p

How do they help the lightweight challenges, and what does lightweight pro give you?
 
Elevator on Karachi can let you get off the map, where you thus fall endlessly. The vertical distance is also calculated in the Lightweight challenge, and since you fall much faster than you run, you get the idea... I got all 250 miles done in a single Karachi Domination game.

As for the Lightweight Pro gives you, just faster aiming after sprinting.
 
Oh man more lulz up in this thread now.

So I was playing on Wasteland, running Predator, Harrier, AC130 in a Domination game, GW. I was sniping, thermal, you know how it goes. I get my AC130 up early and go 29 and 0 and then die a few times, finish the game off 48 and 5, took several flags, etc.

Back in the lobby someone calls me a care package glitching 🤬 and blah blah blah. So I swap the Predator out for a Nuke, and then proceed to go 36 and 2 after dropping the Nuke on Rundown. Following that, back in the lobby, I announce "Yes, I got that in a care package, obviously." The guy, now extremely angry and full of crying, calls me a thermal sniping camping 🤬 beep whatever blah and then backs out.

Some other guy added me as a friend and was lol'ing about the situation.
