I used to have both Xbox 360 & PS3, and I played Call of Duty games on them. After getting used to the Xbox 360 controller, I had come to prefer its design over the PS3's.
PS3 controller felt too small, and those trigger buttons(L2 & R2) were downright awkward. Logitech controller addressed those two problems for me, then some, but it does have its shortcomings.
Good:
- Body of the controller feels slightly smaller than the Xbox 360 one, just about perfect. Body shape was little strange to me, but once I had it in my hands, it felt completely natural to me.
- I like the triggers better than PS3, or even the X360's as far as the placement & button travel are concerned.
Bad:
- While I love the trigger buttons(L2/R2), they have this super dirt cheap spongy feel to it. Same goes for the other buttons. It wasn't a big deal for me.
- It does not have recharge capability through the PS3 console. Two "AA" batteries do last very long time though.
- Lacks motion sensor capability. I use it solely for Call of Duty games, and it hasn't become a problem for me yet. But without this feature, this controller is unusable on some games.
It's noteworthy that while I was not very gentle with my controller(lol), mine lasted a very long time. It is very durable in my opinion. I would guess it's lasted about two years through heavy uses & some..... abuse. Damn Modern Warfare games, you know how it is! Some buttons have now started to go out.
