It's like cheating myself buying a game I don't like very much, friends make it fun though to quote Turbo Lag, it's like buying tickets to a bad movie which all your friends are going to.

That's the thing, all my friends are playing this! If I could swing them back to COD4 I wouldn't touch MW2 in weeks.

Well I went for it, I'll pick it up in an hour or 2 but can't play it until much later tonight. I'll be starting in Campaign of course, once I get my mojo back for aiming I sense I'll be as good as if not better then I've ever been on previous installments. It still feels like I've wronged myself in buying the game which I despise above all others, it's because people have lapped up all the things I think were a mistake which really annoys me and puts it top of my hate list. That said though, friends make anything better, alot better in the case of shooters, and that is why I can still enjoy what is an otherwise bad experience for me in multiplayer.

The only thing that makes it worse is that the matchmaking system is not really up to par... even after the patches... Last night for example I was in a team with 6 people and the first time we try and get in a game we get split up to different lobbies (Even though we all met up with the party leader in his lobby before joining a game).... This has happend in the past more often though... Once you get in cycle of games its usually fine...

Another thing that I find amusing is that with all the *ahem* Xmas noobs online at the moment you get really uneven teams... Last night I was in a random lobby and everyone level 35 and under were put on a team while my team was all level 50 and up... with 2 prestigers who had been very busy I believe or been hacking My team ended up owning big time... which was fun... but in a way unfair to the newbies...

When I first got MW2 I had my own private matches to learn the maps.
I was in Afgan one time heading out of a bunker and Kelly came around the corner and I was like, WTF ????

It was all quite confussing as she shot me down.

Haha, yes i had they same thing. Kelly and Ron sometimes do that to me and then its kicks off into a battle when all i wanted to do was explore the map

I use a few different classes depending on my mood or what map I'm on, mainly use the ACR with silencer and RDS with cold blooded pro and ninja pro.
I use the FAL for HC matches though...great gun!

Was playing crap last night (getting slaughtered every game) so turned it off before I done anymore damage to team GTP and to my 1.07 KD.

ATM I'm try to do my killstreak challenges so have got naffy killstreak rewards such as uav jammer just need to call it in another 10 times then I can move on.

Maps I hate are Estate/Karachi/Invasion/Favela
Maps I love are Scrapyard/Highrise/Sub Pens??/Rundown/Afghan, the rest I can't remember

Oh and it's great fun killing vexd lots of times, he sucks

Haha poor Dave. I you wanna Kill me Kel you gotta find me first, im a dirty rotten Camper and i love it. Be warned! i move spot quite often and its a must after iv killed someone, killcams make sure of that.
Kill to death now at 1.01 and my intervension only needs 40 kills with FMJ to max out

Be honest, did you send him a friend invite? When I had 44-4 last week(also in TDM), I think I got three friend invites.

I had some good games against noobs last night, 44-2-6 at Afghan, 36-1-4 at Rundown and 31-4-5 at Derail

Yes, this is quite a big problem, big party = doomed to fail . With all the lobby merging that goes on, on the second one or third one you are almost guaranteed to lose a party member, it just fails like that. Sometimes when the host migrates and it doesnt work for you, it has worked for your mates and you go join them again outside the party.

Had a funny death today where I jumped down in a hole in the ceiling. Right at that moment I got hit by a predator missile. My body was dangling (sp?) with 1 hand stuck in the ceiling

Unlocked Model 1887's earlier. Using the range trick of course (Bling -Akimbo/FMJ) these absolutely own christmas noobs.

Also had a stupid host migration glitch, I was in an AC-130 when host migration began, when it finished I was asked to select my class and my score was back to 0-0-0. It was like I just entered the game, I wasn't even in the AC-130 when the game resumed. Naturally I was seriously pissed off so I kept playing.

I really didn't care for the AC-130. My mate had it in his streaks and I called it in twice in one match and might have got 4 kills with it. I changed it to the choppergunner and I killed everything with that.

I have Chopper Gunner as my Killstreak award, way better than the AC-130. I just obtained it though a care package. What I really hated most though is that everyone else in that game migrated fine, I was the only one to restart it and I had loads of time left with the AC-130 still.

The AC-130 is fun for domination games. You can easily clear enemy controlled 'stations' with it. 1 shot can kill 5 if you're lucky.
It's only good on more open maps when the enemy is concentrated in an area.

Well I've done campaign, jumped in on Veteran first play through, sat there and nailed it. Literally, did the entire campaign in a sitting. Hard work but it's payed off.

just got a 40 kill streak then and a nuke to finish it of!!!, it was 39 lol ....... p.s the nukes dont add on to your kill streak if any thought they did.....anyway nice games with theewar, Mr V(Dinsokk), fairplay, marchbrown, uk86ze, dustdriver, wallrunner & the rest. cheers im in the top 10,000 now!!!

I still haven't touched the campaign. I had hoped to complete it on my week off, but I couldn't even accomplish my other goal, which was to reach lv. 70 on my PSN account.

On Chopper Gunner vs. AC130, I don't really care for either one. I do seem to do better with the Chopper Gunner, but I think I might like my usual setup of Predator(5), Harrier(7), Pave Low(9) better. I'm totally noob on Chopper Gunner/AC130, too, which doesn't help. Either way, I seem to pick up about the same amount of kills.

I got the new killstreak of 25(prev. 24), yeah, yeah, it's not that great, but I play small ball(no jokes please!). Also, I got my "Omnicide" & "Epic" title for PSN. I did already have those for the XBL account. Yeah, it's a blast blowing everybody away on Wasteland, especially my team had that center bunker, and the other team had nowhere to hide.

Oh but yes they do, my first nuke was called in the instant I got it because I was agitated, went from 25 to 31, killed the whole enemy team obviously and it counted towards my killstreak.

Speaking of nukes and other killstreak rewards, of which I'm still not allowed to customise cus im lelev 8 , I've noticed something occuring which I think I've pinpointed. I keep doing better on teams with other very low ranked players, and what I put it down to is the simple innocent UAV. High ranked teams are missing out big time on this massive full team advantage that a UAV can provide from the off, and then further enhances everyones streak rewards tenfold. I will probably always have the UAV on from now on, certainly in a party if nobody else does because of just how much easier it makes your job.

Anyway, I started multiplayer of course, first game was a disapointing 7-8 but then kicked it back into gear following up with an 11 streak to start my second and a 20-4 along with my first top score, and not my last in the 8 rounds I played. The only thing which has annoyed me thus far, on the PS3 anyway as I experienced many annoyances on XBL, is the knifing thing. You know, those guys who run around like lunatics with a knife? It's just annoying that such a dumb tactic can pay off so well for them by simply running around like a mad man. They don't normally help their team much but I did see one go top of his team and get an excellent KDR. Speaking of, mine sits at 2.22 for now.

With the wrong perks, running around like a headless chicken is dumb. With the correct ones (read: marathon, lightweight and commando, plus an optional tac knife) it becomes a very clever (and effective) tactic imo.

Couple it with a decent primary gun - RDS ACR, TAR, MP5 etc - and you have a very lethal setup at your disposal.

Tactical knife, light weight, marathon, commando pro = WIN.
I know it isnt a great tactic but it is fun and it does get me a K.D of above 1.5 often. On my assault classes I have commando pro anyway because of the falling damage and lack of anything much better to put in perk 3.

EDIT: I got Tree'd, to add to his gun list, UMP45 is what I use for the class.
