The perk of the silencer is it doesn't show you when you fire on the enemies radar, silence.
It still makes a nice little noise so if your really paying attention you can tell where its coming from, well I can but I have jam out headphones I use:tup:

Truth. I've heard the rata-ta-tat of a Silenced M4 a few times and gone to investigate. And tracers can help as well.

Slick Rick, I think it does mention the perk of the Silencer in the attachments description. It also reduces muzzle flash I think. The biggest perk, despite it still making some sound and the tracers, is most players have semi-tunnel vision on that radar, and don't tend to notice green arrows disappearing either. They are amazing for flanking (which is where more than half my kills come from), and just target the rear most guys in a group first so those in front don't notice as quickly.

Most people don't notice team mates dropping around them for sure. I got the omnicide deal by sticking an entire camping team with my tac knife, just went from one to another until they were all gone :)

Haha, I remember you telling us about that.

Oh, some guns have more manageable recoil with a Silencer on. I prefer the TAR-21 and SCAR with Silencers compared to without. Same with the USP.

getting on soon

Ah sorry mate I'm just off to bed. Damn these confounded time zones! 👎
I will be playing at this time from thursday night onwards as I won't have school in the morning. :)

Well I had time for one quick game before leaving to go to a basketball game (which I am heading to now) and I had a nice 11-1-3 on Team Deathmatch. I managed to get all three of my killstreaks in the game. I hit nothing with my Predator missile. My Harrier got one kill and that was on the airstrike. I got to nine kills, but did not get to call in a Pavelow before the game ended because of other stuff already in the airspace. :banghead:

SOme great gaming from the usual guys tonight.
1 game Fairplay scored 75 kills and me in 2nd with 64 I think.
Had a game with some care package glitchers and it was air support from start to finish in highrise with the cheating c****.

I play on a 650 watt 5.1 system. My room mate has joked about how the elderly neighbors are going to think the Taliban invaded or something. And I sound whore quite a bit, but where SitRep really helps is making it easier to tell your friends from foes, because it reduces the volume of friendly foot steps. Makes it easier to sound whore around a team not using Ninja Pro, and enemy foot steps are loud enough I don't need the volume at "Epic 11ty" to hear them clearly.

Honestly, it is one of my favorite perks now. Plus, since it lights up claymores, tactical insertions, and C4 from a mile away, I call it camper vision. I've had numerous times where I just see a couple of claymores in a building, lob a grenade in, and get a kill or two. And if you have a mic (which I need to get) you can alert your team to claymore positions and possible campers.

Don't sniper rifles sound fantastic in Surround Sound?

Its ok I thought that would be the case. I tried playing with another guy I know. It was lagging bad even though he only lives 45 minutes away. I ended up playing some TDM and I got the one shot two kills challenge completed almost by chance.

I had a 19-0-0 on Favela the other night.

Not bad for someone useless.

And yes I camp, and yes I snipe, and yes, I am useless. That is all....

:irked:👍

I'd so rather have someone who camp than a noob who likes to run & gun, racking up 20 deaths. For team deathmatch player, k/d is a critical part of the game.
in the end I quit a domination match at 69-7 with 50 points left to get.
What?

No Brandon Roy, so I think it's only fair if Durant sat this one out.

I've found myself camping more, or atleast slowing down and hiding someplace for a while. Usually I do it to combat newb campers though, some of these guys will run back to their spot 7 or 8 times, as long as you take a different corner of the room to take them out from each time you can rack up the kills for a few minutes :p

Example: I was playing TDM at Favela, and in the building on the lowest part of the map a guy was camping the stairs. I take him out while he's occupied with someone coming up the stairs and then I steal his spot, I take him out the next time and move to the other corner of the room facing the stairs. He runs up backwards trying to knock me out from behind the stairs and I backstab him.

I move downstairs and then hide as he runs past me and up them, take him out again, move to another corner of the room beside the stairs, repeat, move to another corner, repeat, then for the final kill I went back to the first spot and got him again. He left the game after that

Chris.

I used to miss the claymores a lot, but now it's my ACR. Although the SCAR takes a lot of the pain away! Frag or semtex is very useful. You just have to change your playing style a bit.

Those are the worst type of camping, at least the type that hurt your feelings. I still remember the time I was owned in Crash. In CoD4!

I have a weird condition. Sometimes, I like to sit, study the UAV, almost just enjoying the atmosphere. I'm strange.

Don't get me wrong, I like the semtex, but the claymores are just so useful. Nothing beats plonking one near a doorway to protect your backside and hearing "kaboom" when some poor soul runs right into it

Went through a stretch though, everybody & their frigging mothers were going through my claymores like nothing. I probably broke one of my controllers during that stretch. And what is up with claymores that doesn't kill, it's been happening since CoD4. They literally stop on top of the claymore, it blows up, and it doesn't kill the guy!?

I'm pretty sure it's not. That painkiller logo doesn't pop up, and like I said, even in CoD4 days, I used to see it happen from time to time.

Me & Azuremen had few matches with team made up mostly of Chevron noobs. I don't know what that was about, but we gladly raked in the kills. :D Last match, they were actually all prestiges with a exception of one guy at level 70, but I think I still ended up with a killer score. Like I messaged Azure, it was one of those nights everywhere you pointed your gun, there they were! :dopey: On top of that, I was the host! My k/d jumped two points(.02, technically) to 2.17.

I finally got around to picking up a few of the titles for "hidden" challenges. The 6fears7 one for getting killstreak rewards of 7, 8 and 9...and Behind Enemy Lines plus the 8-bit Soap emblem for a 10 kill streak with no rewards selected.

I'll be using the following callsign when I complete everything for it. I'm 9 chopper gunner kills from the title and 30 WA2000 headshots from the emblem.

I'll change up my clan tag to GTP sometimes, but mostly I just like using one of the chemical formulas for cyanide.

I came across a bunch of loons before in a pre game lobby for Favela. Think about the Rihanna umbrella song, get it in your head and then replace umbrella with Favela. They were literally singing, "Under my Favela, ela, ela, eh eh eh, under my Favela, ela, ela, eh, eh, eh. Gave all of my mates a great laugh.

While looking at FourZeroTwo's twitter I came across someones Twitter channel who mentioned this link:

http://www.modernwarfail2.com/2010/01/26/map-karachi-ported-from-cs-1-6/

Karachi is a map from CS 1.6, or a map that was going to be in, cant remember at the moment. Here is the article.

Map Karachi is a remake of CS 1.6 variant

Did you know that the map Karachi actually is a UPDATE: remake of the earlier released CounterStrike 1.6 variant ?

The first original ‘de_karachi” was designed 6 years ago for CounterStrike 1.6. by CompoSITe a.k.a. Geoffrey Smith, who works for Infinity Ward at the Design & Scripting departement now.

What to do if you run out of design ideas… Recycle !

Submitted by Sam H. via email. Thanks !!

One thing I can see from those pictures is that the graphics are so many billion times better than the old CS.

Karachi in 1.6 is one of my favorite maps. The market also has several similarities, and even the bomb site locations are similar. Even some similarities to popular routes and buildings you can access.

Another map similarity is that Wasteland is apparently a remade or revamped CoD2 map.

Karachi is my favorite map on the game at the moment. Its like Skidrow in the way that people do stupid things. In Karachi there is some type of magnet that draws people into the building right beside the bus, it has the stairs to go into, the big hole in the wall and the back way if you climb up the ladder and jump across. For some reason people just go there and I love it because I make my way through and clear them out and they go right back again for me. In skidrow they do the same with with the building with the turrent in it. I usually rush on that map and I just make my way back and forth through that building cutting because people are so stupid they go right back in the building and squat down infront of the window waiting to pick people off going into the building across from it, idiots. Had such a horrible time last night I just stopped playing, after going prestige ( thanks allot a6! haha) I don't have a few things to play defense so I'm having to change up my play style, that and also the matchmaking is putting me with people that are much better than I am now so its a constant own me party :( I either rush, or I have my scar with extended mags or FMJ and claymore, scavenger pro, stopping power pro, and ninja pro and I get in a position where I can place a claymore to cover my rear and then just defend that area and usually get another claymore and place it at the other entrance to where I could be flanked. I don't consider it "camping" because I'm not sitting in a little dark corner waiting for some poor bloke to walk by, I'm defending a large area.

And on a side note, I played with a guy named kellyboy1162 last night which I loved playing with. He was a lvl 32 and was horrible but he was so funny and had my favorite accent ever, Scottish! I just love hearing the accent, and his was super heavy which made it just rad. Such things I was cracking up hearing him say like, AAyyyy I'm getting freaking schtoned out here mate, could someone please at least cover me a bit or something, someone, how abooot you lad, would you do it for a mate? Come one, I'm beggin ya lad, help me ooot. I was loving it.

Played one game last night in Scrapyard where a couple of idiots were camping in the shorter part of the L-shaped fuselages. One would sit in the dark corner and the other in the small space between the two door entrances. I must have got a dozen or so kills just from shooting those two. I knew they would just go back to their spots after every spawn, so i just kept shooting at them from outside, getting some useful FMJ kills along the way. I killed the guy who camped in the dark corner 5 times in a row and earned myself some kind of challenge reward too. Cheers guys

Thanks for the replys guys my accuracy isnt that good atm and I definately noticed I caught other players off gaurd with the silencer on. Normally I shoot, miss and then they start moving around and get me
More kills and Ill have a hearbeat sensor for my M4 :D

I do the same usually, but substitute the CB for Stopping Power so I can have 1-burst kills. Although I do seem to attract a lot of predator missiles.
