Can you do the nurburgring without crashing or spinning out

That looked like 8 minutes of trying not to crash lol. Good job not crashing. :)

I could only manage an 8:35 on uber grippy CS tires. But that was actually my first lap of succesfully not breaking the thing. Wasn't technically clean as I had to cut a little climbing the hill at Kesselchen. I also had to call the fire department to check on all the smoke coming out of the Fuhchsröre, but that only cost me maybe 3 or 4 seconds tops. Would've had another go today if I wasn't so hung over and then so lazy.

Still a little scared of CH tires, but the latest TT has me more eager to start playing with them.

Thanks!

If you can do it with CS tyres, going to CH isn't that big of a jump. I've done quite a bit of CH racing lately and I noticed it's not that hard. You automatically think it's going to be insane but in the end the difference between CS and CH isn't that big.

Funny how when I first drove the Yellowbird I thought it was undrivable even with sports hards.

That's a pretty handy attempt OK8, wouldn't mind seeing the 'TV' veiw of that lap... I've pushed old shopping trolleys that were easier to keep in a straight line than that thing

I think most of us have got used to banging around on sports or race tyres. The principles of driving on comforts are the same, it's just that the limits are lower and therefore breached more easily, so the mind (and the right foot) just needs time and practice to recalibrate.

Can't remember the last time I did, mostly its because before I got my PS3, I used to play PGR 4 everyday, and I loved to do snow races on the Nring with the Subaru mostly, so I kind of have the layout burned in my memory haha.

The MR drivetrain cars man =(

Especially during the karussell, I oversteer like crazy, and I just hate taking the outside corner of the karussell. I just want to get better on my throttle controlling during that corner when I am driving a MR/RR car.

I can manage a full lap with no aids except ABS on 1 and my car on Sports tires. Now some cars are a little harder, like the McLaren F1 for example...but with enough hours on the track you learn just about every corner and what to expect 👍

Turned a 5:38 in a fully tuned 905 tonight, everything off except skid recovery.

Using a Driving Force GT

I did 6:07 with a fully tuned GT-R '07, but theres not much room for errors at that pace, i was wondering if it was lighter and more powerful, and it was funny he did the same time i did...

Nice time with the 2007 GT-R! Keep in mind i did that time with the 2009 Version of the car with no Aids. It was fully tuned with sport exhausts on it "not Titanium". = ~860HP.

to make a good time with the GTR on the Ring Nordschleife, you must have a good suspension tune , downforce and Gearbox.

I will post a Picture later today, if i got a chance :)

I usually only come off at one spot on the track, schwedenkruez, I get up too much speed and fly into the wall, I have to learn to remember that spot and slow down a bit

It helps the car around the corners... :ouch:
or am i wrong..? :/

 You are right, I just cant seem to be able to get a good tune with a rear wing... and as I do alot of PP restricted races, I tend to sacrifice downforce for POWAAHH (Mainly in 4WD/FF).

Mine was with aids off as well except ABS1 :), without the rear downforce wing, and 868hp if i remember. I used the stock suspension though, im not really good at tuning. :scared:

If you can take a video of the replay that would be nice as well :)
I can even add your time on the spreadheet of the nurburgring lap times thread. :)

I have run the "Green Hell" so many times... I could easily do it without a crash or spin. Someday I will do it for real too! :)

You should also pay attention to your speed. You have to take that corner surprisingly slowly. I've found that 70km/h is about the max I can go regardless of what car I'm in.

Can I drive around the Ring without flying off the track or spinning out? Heck yea I can. A nice leisurely Sunday drive in a stock MX-5 is no problem!

The most I can consistently do a clean lap with is a 500pp car on sports hards. Anything over that and I can't push it to the limit. Kind of depends on the car of course. One of my favorites is the Italia and I can push that in stock trim pretty hard, but it is exhilarating.
