Whoa, thats a total copy, got a pic of the rest of the car?

Unfortunately not but if I recall it properly the rest of the car looks pretty much like any standard low budget asian car - a kia, daewoo or whatever. It's only the front that is copied.

There is a model that use the front end of.......the previous generation C-class!

So this 'new' geely must be its successor?

I think you're right. but the car I posted previously doesn't show up on any geely website anymore so it probably went no further than a concept.

You have the pictures the other way around, daan.
Really? Do I? How can you tell? :dopey: ;)

And, Toyotadrifter, the 3000GT and the Dodge Stealth are the same car.

Exactly.

I remembered 'new' model was in their website a while back too. Looks like it won't make into production.

Why don't they do the S-class? :dopey:

Actually Daimler-Chrysler (and Chrysler before the merger) and Mitsubishi are involved in a joint venture. That is why the Dodge Stratus R/T coupe and the Mitsubishi Eclipse GT share most of the same mechanicals. The Mitsubishi 3000GT and the Dodge Stealth are exactly the same except for the name and some minor styling differences. The Stealth was never popular and was cancelled about 3 years before Mitsubishi sold the last 3000GT in the US.

Based on styling though, I would rather have a Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo instead of 3000GT VR-4... but only because few people know what one looks like. On the other hand, the 3000GTs are everywhere. In the parking lot at the supermarket, on the highway, in Gran Turismo. :sly: You rarely, if ever, see a Stealth. I guess that's why its called the Stealth. 💡 :sly:

i did some research and this is what i came up with

-What is the difference between the Stealth and 3000gt?
The Stealth is the American cousin to the 3000gt. THe 3000gt was imported by the Chrysler Corp. and repackaged under the Stealth name. They differ only cosmetically, (and a few options such as Active Aero for the Mitsus) THe power ratings are the same for all the corresponding models (ES/Base, RT/SL, RTTT/VR4)

Subaru Shared, Saab recieved... I hope that doesn't happen again...
Well, then just close your eyes when you see the new 9-7X coming soon. Its Saab on the outside, but Chevy Trailblazer underneath. Since GM owns all of them, its no secret they're sharing. Hell, I kinda like the idea. It gives Subys some cred.

And, yes, the 3000GT and Stealth are the same car underneath. Little differences outside, but mechanically identical. Just like my comment above, its no secret that Mitsu and Chrysler are good buddys when it comes to sharing designs.

Conquest/Starion - same everything, just exterior differences
Stealth/3000GT - same everything, just exterior difference
Eclipse/Talon/Laser - same everything, just exterior differences
2G Eclipse/Avenger/Sebring - some chassis sharing, lots of interior
3G Eclipse/Stratus Coupe/Sebring Coupe - basically same chassis, same interior
