Changing rims on Standard cars

Yeah, fingers crossed. No doubt we'll get a box pop up and say 'you cannot paint standard wheels'

I'm SO changing the wheels on my Lambo Countach 25th Anniversary. Can't stand those wheels on it. Also I hope they bring back the Used Wheels option. Some standard cars come with SWEET wheels. Finally, hopefully we can change the color of the wheels like the premium wheels.

If we get access to the current GT Auto rims, I see no reason why not. If you mean painting the stock rims... doubtful, at least not without the glitching possible with the tuning sheets earlier. GT and FM both don't allow painting of stock rims, and I have to wonder if there's a reason for that.

I'm hoping, hoping this means the old "Today's Special" rim selection from GT4 makes a return, and I can put RS6 rims on TT's, or things like that. If this really is just allowing us to put the current GT Auto rims on our Standards, cool, I suppose, but laughable it took over a year to add a feature that's been present since GT2 to the majority of GT5 cars.

Like I've said in other threads, I believe this will work as it did in GT4 with the "used wheels" section. I'll be tremendously happy with being able to interchage standard's wheels.

I really don't care if they don't add the eternal aftermarket wheels that have been with us since GT2 all the way to GT4.

As for which I will change wheels first? The M3 CSL. I'll put the M3 GTR's wheels since those are the ones that it was suppose to hae in the first place

Also the Supra RZ's stock wheels need to go. As well as the EG Civic's hubcaps, and those generic wheels that the Ram has need to be changed. The stock irons that my BMW 2002 look really nice on it, but it could use something different for a change.

It's better to assume that it will be GT5 premium wheels system. Everything above that would be nice bonus.

I don´t know where witch one i will start, all i know is that im already saving money for all of them. All my premium cars in my favorite list are Matt Black body and Chameleon Orange Rims, now finaly ill be able to padronize all my drift car, witch at least 75% are standard.

Its a dream come truth.

I would start by installing a set of black rims on my Mustang SVT Cobra R. It's something I've done since GT3, plus I happen to think it looks good with black rims.


I would also swap the stock rims on my GTO Twin Turbo MR ’98 for a different set, seeing as I don't like their appearance whatsoever.

Can't wait to change my rims on all my vipers. I just hope you can paint them so I can have my favorite color combo. Champion Blue with Black rims ^_^
