Changing rims on Standard cars

First on my list to have new boots are my two drift monsters - the ever present TVR Cerbera Speed 12 and the otherwise brutal looking Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Standard rims for the pair of them are utter gash, they're going to look siiiiiiiick with a wheel change. Roll on Dec 20th

I like this addition too, but I have to say that I'm baffled over how much you guys are wetting yourselves over what's really a pretty minor update. If you're a shutterbug like TorqueHappens above, that's one thing. But you really can't see those wheels on the track, and that's when these rides are really fun. ;)

But Kaz mentioned that it was kind of a pain to make it work for approximately 800 cars, that and the black cockpit frames. So hopefully this knocks out two big headaches for the team to deal with, and they can now give us some goodies that will make us all wet ourselves. :D

This is the best thing in this new update, I'll need to dupe all my cars and try with every option possible :D

I will now officialy fall over and wait.

Supra, '95 eclipse, '89 galant VR-4, all my BMWs, 92 civic sir, are first, but I will sit and change them all

I will definitely need to change those awful rims on the '95 Eclipse.

Yeah, let's hope that the standard wheels are of decent resolution, because if they're what they currently look right now, it's not gonna be so great with photo mode and stuff. Not that I'm treating it as a big deal though.

I think it'll be my Mercedes-Benz SLK 230

Surprising, eh? :sly:

I am going to change as many as possible... It'll be AWESOME!

👍

I will start driving a car which I held dear in GT2, but never drove it in GT5 due to absolutely horriible rims...
I'm talking about Mitsubishi Eclipse.

I'm very glad about this function.

Even in GT4 it had them. And I don't know if those little 14 inch things were even wheels. Looked more like hubcaps :P

I just wished that they would have modeled the '97 Eclipse Spyder with the correct rims.

They should have modeled the turbo AWD version. ;)

First will be finding wheels that look like the aftermarket ones I have on my Mazdaspeed Miata.

Can't wait! :)

..

Am I the only person who can't see the wheels on my car when I'm driving? :/

No, but you might be the only one that doesn't take photos and/or watch replays of their car where the wheels are clearly visible. :dopey:

Good statement. I can't find why some people think that custom wheels are unimportant.

You don't see a racing car using hubcaps, you see? Usually they use forged or lightweight rims. Eh, I know, GT5 doesn't simulate wheel weight, bla bla bla, but damn, racing a car on ugly rims its... uninspiring.

The Mitsu Eclipse its a good example.

This, so this. That car is getting so much more drive time now because I can get rid of those god awful hubcaps. *shudders*:yuck:

1990 c4 zr1.

My friends and I do this by buying the 1st weight reduction and matching the new wheels weight to the car. We do this for any modification lighter than factory parts. 👍

I can't see the color of my car either, since I only use the bumper cam, but this doesn't stop me from painting my car. :)

Volkswagen Nardo Concept.

Nuff' said.

(Hoping i can change them)

Me neither but I am a strong fan of watching replays, after every lap I do around the Nordschleife I must watch the replay and enjoy, and I can't enjoy when one of my favourite old school GT cars (Eclipse) look like it's running on 14" hoodcaps.

I think the Tom's Chaser X540 need new rims! :D

Mk1 Golf Them Wheels are Ugly! Hopefully Some Fuchs For it Come along For my Mk1 And Split bug And hopefully be able to put them on my Samba ;)

1998 3000GT VR-4 is first, I hate those wheels. Then I'm changing every other standard car's wheel just because I can.

Except the 87 GNX. That car has the best stock wheels in the game, plus they are the same as the Pontiac Trans Am/GTA wheels...
