Short and simple. Are any of you top guys using it. I've only done tsukuba so far and have a .4 using cockpit view but i was wondering today if switching to bumper would help me pick up some time. Just wondering.

Bumpah cam.

Better field of vision, no annoying "realistic" shaking effects, better sense of speed, etc...

For the game I used H-pattern shifter, clutch (right foot braking and heel-toe), and bumper cam (when available) to complete everything (minus most enduros), including golds on all license tests/special events. I didn't want to "cheat" the game at all and get the most out of the game in terms of realism and challenge.

...the competition is different. I want the fastest time so I use left foot braking, sequential shifting, and bumper cam.

Thanks for the reply. think i'll make the switch tonight. If anything i'll feel like i'm driving on the correct side of the car. lol

"correct side of the car"

...love it.

I wonder if all the Nissan's for the GT Academy are right hand drive? I've never driven one ever, and if I make it that would be a bad time to start. Also, are the 350's/370's h-pattern, dogbox, paddles...?

H pattern with clutch ;)

H pattern with clutch ;)

Sick.

Can everyone heel-toe? If not, I suggest you learn/practice. Although I would assume that most of the top drivers actually have some real world experience so it's probably not going to be an issue for most GT Academy participants.

I use cockpit but im seeing alot of people are saying they use the bumper cam. I might try it out. Im looking for any way possible to gain time.

I wouldn't assume that haha

The top guys from iRacing have never set foot on a real race track. Gregger Huttu which is arguably the fastest sim racer in the world never set foot on a race track until iRacing flew him out to test his skills. There are many others just like him who have never set foot in race cars but are the fastest virtually.

heel toe down shift while I DD my miata. I do it so its smoother on my car and it doesnt jerk around. Its got so little power so it doesnt rocket the rpms around :P
