I've seen plenty of CMR04 footage and it still looks to have that 'car not properly conneted to the road' feel. Meh, just wait for WRCII to grace Americas shores.

At least they re-vamped the season mode to let you play someone OTHER than colin mcrae. I mean...i know its his game and all, but even in tony hawk you dont have to BE tony hawk all the time...

Yup, im still playin WRC too, and another yank thats waitin for american release for WRCII. Ive also got V-Rally 3. that games actually pretty fun. The season mode is great in that game

Yeah, I can't belive how long it's taken them to release it in the US. Although the first tocas took about a years gap in release from UK to US. I remember reading an american games mag and going 'wha? Toca has only been released now? I mean I completed it like half a year ago'

What?! Colin McRae 3 is possibly the best rally game ever made? Is it just because it doesn't have a Toyota Supra in it thats riced out all to hell or because the cars don't go fast enough?

ColinMcrae03 had the same twitchy, handling as most of the cars in Pro Race driver. Also the cars just didn't seem to be connected to the road, even in the replays it looked like they were barely in contact with the road. The only good aspect to the game was the damage engine, which walked all over WRCII's. But WRCII has the official licence and I was very impressed with the improvement in handling over the previous WRC. I must admit Codemasters have been making quite laclustre games as of late and I used to be quite a big fan of them. I think CM02 and TOCA 2 was there high point games wise. They haven't made anything astounding or even solid for a while now. Although yes I did buy Pro race driver, but overall it felt rushed and this is the same for CM03. I've seen quite a bit of CM04 footage and it hasn't seemed to have changed at all.

I played it at a gameshop on the X-Box and I was just like 'what?' I think they shouldn't have really limited themselves to one rally team/driver. At least the WRC people were able to get car data for every team which I doubt codemasters did. I must admit some of the graphical touches, like the rain on the windscreen and the wipers was very impressive. Although when I first saw the game it didn't seem to have that that problem. I dunno, maybe I could be proved wrong by CM04.

I hope Colin Mcrae Rally 4 is way better. CMR3, was crap. I mean the graphics were great and the landscape was awsome, but the timing was screwd. What I mean is, say you finish first on the first rally, then you had to run the next rally not knowing how fast the other guys are running until the end of the rally. SO basicly the timeing sucked, and so did the car steering, Damage was awsome.

I thought that the first WRC game sucked balls, and CM3 was only just better
Will have a look when 04 comes out but 'till then if I want to rally I'll stick with GT3
