Artwork, clay models, full scale models, and even Lap Time Test Cars, and Mules, post them all here. Of course, I'll kick 'er off.

Surprised this thread hasn't happened before. Great idea for a thread!

I looooove that 4-door Ferrari concept. Stunning!

Renault Megane Trophy II - I had never heard of this until today. It looks like a spaceship.

Man, the Audi Shark and the Megane are really, really, really great. 👍

My favorite, not because it's particularly fast, or exotic, but because of it's obscurity...

The Checker Ghia.

Only one ever built, and, yes, it is still on the road today. A shame: there might still be a Checker Motors today if this guy got into production.

or maybe not.

The Rinspeed Bedouin, one of my most favourite concept cars:

Some superb pieces of design in this thread so far:tup:

The Rinspeed and Nero are awesome! The front of the Rinspeed is odd, but a few line changes can make it look a little better.

Close, but this one differs. See, it doesn't have to be something you'd actually wanna see go into production. Just posting images of concepts, be it whatever form, that you like and want others to see.

Cool thread, though.

True 👍

Though perhaps a moderator could merge the threads? As they both do have similar subjects and it saves many of the same cars being posted in two different threads 👍

One of my Personal Favourites:

1938 Phantom Corsair
1938_Phantom_Corsair.jpg

Wikipedia
With a height of only 147 cm (58 in.), the steel and aluminum body had no running boards, fenders or door handles. Instead, the doors could be opened using buttons located on the outside and on the instrument panel. To match the advanced design, Heinz chose the most advanced chassis available in the United States at that time, the Cord 810. The V8 engine-equipped Cord also featured front wheel drive and an electrically operated four-speed gearbox, as well as a fully independent suspension and adjustable shock absorbers. To accommodate the large body, various changes were carried through on the chassis. The car's lower frame was made of chromoly steel and the upper frame was constructed of electrically welded aviation steel tubing. Power for the 2-ton / 4500 lb. (2000 kg) Phantom Corsair came from a modified Cord 810 Lycoming 8-cylinder unit, supercharged to produce about 190 hp.

E'go Revolt. Upcoming Russian Coach Build for the Mitsubishi 3000GT, that will supposedly come with a twin turbo V6, busting out 550 HP

Design wise, it is quite the hansom car.

That really is a very nice looking concept. I found some more pictures of it either a scaled-down model or CG renderings. It has some similar styling cues as the Maserati 3200GT. The original sketches look far better IMO.

I need to see more angles... But it looks like from the side that they kind of just stopped designing when they got to the rear. The rims are ugly and don't seem to fit with the car right... The wheel wells are huuuuge. I know its a concept but a few things are to exaggerated at parts. The drawing is a million times better looking.

Agreed, the rear's "soft" design elements clash horridly with the sharp front angular design. 👎

Cheers,
Jetboy

were there two of those? the one at top is significantly different from that at bottom.

Ferrari 621 Scaglietti Shooting Brake by Vandenbrink

It reminds me very much of a Corvette Shooting Brake design I did for a GTPlanet Photoshop comp years and years ago!

Much prettier than the normal Scag. Reminds me of how good the 456 estate that Pininfarina produced for the Sultan of Brunei looked. Or perhaps the Ferrari Daytona station wagon...

Anyway, as most of you probably know, I'm a big fan of small cars and retro stuff. So a retro small car is right up my street... Such as the Suzuki LC concept from 2005:
