Rage Against The Machine (I believe during the period after Zach De La Rocha left and before Audioslave formed) did a cover of The Star Wars Imperial March. Very cool song, and definitely worth checking out.

Just posted that in the "Any great covers out there?" thread, then came here and found you'd already posted it here... brillant song though.

Don't really care who made it, I'll listen to it just the same.

Audioslave - We Got The Whip
Anything by:

Brant Bjork (stoner rock gone semi-acoustic)
Filter
OK Go (pop done right)
The Coral Sea (pop done perfectly)
The Constantines (droney stoner-rock type almost pop but still awesome music)
The Postman Syndrome
Wellwater Conspiracy
Hater

Wellwater and Hater are fronted by some ex soundgarden members

Rage Against the Machine - The Narrows

(another pre-self-titled album song, a demo-tape release)

emad: listen to the Rage song 'Autologic' (another demo-tape ft.), Morello completely recycled the riff for Got the Whip. It's scary, considering the current stance of Audioslave and the kind of music and mindset Rage Against the Machine had during the culmination of their ideology and purpose circa 1991.

Seems I need to check out The Constantines. ;)

(red = awesomes)

Anythign King Crimson, I really don't know if you guys have ever heard who Robert Fripp is, but hes an amazing guitarest, who rocked the rock genre for many years. Check this band out.

Anyone from Chicago/midwest heard of the band Question Mark Zero? They're sort of a new-wave rock band. They have their own little outterspace story and do the whole onstage costume things which makes them stand out from other normal grassroots punkrock bands.

"John Woo" by Newsboys

Sure they're about as popular as you can get, but this song is so out there, you can't help but like it if you hear it.

Has anyone heard of this group called Enon?

I've got a song, In this Cirty, I like it, 's got a good feel to it, in a sort of boring way. Hard to explain I guess..

The Volcano Song by Logan Whitehurst. Maybe I have a thing for one-man bands or duos, but there is more craftsmanship in this little self-made 2 minute multi-track ditty than some bands put into a whole album.

Aus Rotten
Anything from the Aquabats!
YES! You are so right. Not many people know them, I only first heard them early this year at my friends house, though recently I've really gotten into them. As you can see by the avatar. :sly:
Their style of music is an awesome mix between ska, punk, indie and some slow jazzy kinda thing. They're very funny too!

I've been listening to them for about 10 years now.

Very silly and entertaining group. I'm sure you've seen this, but just in case, and for those that haven't... Super Rad!

"Feel the wrath of this in codename, applesauce, applesauce, applesauce... SUPER RAD!"

Awesome! My friend was saying the "applesauce, applesauce, applesauce" bit repeditivly while he was intoxicated last weekend.

The Great Escape - We Are Scientists

All These Things I Hate - Bullet For My Valentine

Both Very Good Songs.

Max Powers
The only band I can compare them to is Soulive who should also be checked out if you've never heard of them.

Ooh, somehow I missed this post. I saw them a few years ago opening for another band. I really like their style. My favorite song of theirs would be Tuesday Night's Squad on the album Next.

Couple of Sabres of Paradise tracks for you to check out: Smokebelch II (Brits will recognise this from old Vodafone ads) and the barking trumpet-fest Wilmot. Sabres of Paradise are Andrew Weatherall's (of Underworld fame) band, but they don't sound anything like Underworld.

Natious's Amber is a great dance track.

Anyone who's listened to any dance music will (should) know Energy 52's Cafe del Mar. Awesomeness, and there are some chilled remixes of it that are excellent too.

I don't think it got much reception anywhere, so I guess One Word by Kelly Osbourne would be unknown to many.

That was a cool and highly underated song let down by a poor accompanying album.

Did anyone post this?

They Might Be Giants - Doctor Worm

They Might Be Giants - Boss of Me

These are good! REALLY GOOD

That says more about your school than anything. Most of those songs are extremely well-known. In the UK certainly.

HOLY CRAP NEVER HEARD OF THESE!

I knew each and everyone of them, but those I think are the more popular ones. Basically mainstreem, crap. Wait I love Led Zepplin though.
