Please make sure all stewards reports get to me asap, race one from last night i know was completely clean so you guys don't need to worry about it

It's not fair for all teams, I think about ideal situation - cancel round 2 or reapeat all deep forest races with new lobby settings. I know, it's only CSS, we mustn't go in the series, but If we are race why we can't do it in the normal racing conditions? :)

Two disconnections in a night is neither unheard of, nor something that we haven't overcome in the past (remember TMB last year?) While we're doing our best to make sure the rooms are as stable as possible, it has always been the series' policy to count individual disconnections as misfortune.

Since Race 1 did indeed suffer extraordinary issues, we are rerunning the event on Tuesday. While it is unfortunate there were a pair of disconnects in Race 2 it could have happened on any other day and no-one would have thought twice. While I understand that it did limit P24's potential in this round, the decision not to run in Race 3 surely did more damage.

The organisers feel the solution we have come up with is fair and to the spirit of the original rules and thus the matter is closed. We hope to see you on Tuesday and for the remaining run to the N24.

Oh how I wish I had practised maybe 30 minutes more ahead of the race. Got really consistently good after half the race and could have battled with the leaders if I had that from the beginning. :)

Nice race from everyone and a really nice fight with futuref1 in the end (maybe a tiny bit dirty sometimes but that happens in the heat of the battle :p )

Well, that was quite the fight between you and @FutureF1 ! I can't wait for round 3 at Apricot Hill; hopefully us at INF can make up as much time through the corners before we before we become sitting ducks on the straights...

Also, thanks @gtpcaine for the setup! We would have lost the CSS without it!

Optimal room settings for races CSS, where participants have a very different quality of the Internet, should be this:

Room privacy - Friends only
Fixed room ovnership - Yes
Race quality - Standard, or possibly High
Visible damage - Off

Nothing better has not yet been invented :)

I have a question. Is it possible that in tomorrow's race was attended by 2 drivers P24? I will for sure.

And mics off as well, i think

Not so sure on this, might be more stable, but what happens if the host DC's, then the whole room goes! So far it seem's the host usually isn't racing, so this could stop the race even though we have lost no car's from the track.

Dont have many problems myself. The servers pd side is where the problem is atm tho i.e engine, tyre noise. When just one person disconnects however i would of thought that person would benifit from an internet upgrade? well anyway i upgraded and my dc's vanished.

This is exactly what we are using. While there are concerns about a host disconnection, we will cross that bridge when it arrives (likely employing the 'mass disconnect' rule), hopefully the added stability will prevent this being put to the test.

No, as explained previously this was only for teams who couldn't attend the rescheduled race. Since you had a driver listed down who was both online at the time the event started and was PM'd to make sure he knew by the host and yet still didn't attend Race 3, this provision does not apply to your team.

Last night was the first time I used fixed ownership, and I can safely say I don't think it made any difference at all, I ran the lobby with race quality on very high aswell, despite being told to have it lower. The night before (Saturday) I hosted my usual race series, no fixed ownership, very high race quality, visible damage on and had no issues whatsoever. I'm pretty certain had I run those settings again last night it would have been absolutely fine also.

The issue isn't with the settings at all, nor the hosts, it was a freak night (Friday) when PD servers decided to mess us about. Anyway, enough about this. We shouldn't be discussing this, we should be discussing the racing.

How does everyone feel about the change in car specs?

One of the stewards, who are in the room, recorded live table with the results of the race. When the host is disconnected, in the new room you can restore the order of in the race and intervals from the record.

The race doesn't end, everyone gets kicked out.

Believe me Caine, I'm regularly doing rooms for the race and made them probably thousands, and I know exactly what I'm writing. Of course you do as you want, but what are the problems with your settings, everyone sees.

I've never had problems with my settings so no-one sees any problems. Settings only make a difference if individual people's internet connection prevent them from joining / seeing people on track. If everyone has decent internet, the lobby can be run at 'max' with no issue at all, or as was the case on Friday, when the actual game servers cause instability, in which no setting change can cure in any way.

I've done plenty of series at anything from very high race quality and mic quality, standard race, no mic, high race, no mic, very high, no mic, fixed ownership on and off. I have never seen a pattern with DC's. There have been times where no one DC's with Very high/very high, and there are times where people DC with those settings. People sometimes DC at standard race/no mic, sometimes they don't.

Ever since I've gone wired, I've only DC'd from 1 league race. And that was that day a few weeks ago when PD's servers were messed up over the weekend.

I have exactly the same experience as stiggy. Some nights it's just messed up for pretty much everyone. Like friday and partly saturday. PD servers had some issues those days and different settings would have made no difference.

Indeed niko. I managed to do ToCA on Saturday night with no real issues but Clios which was held after ToCA had loads of issues and the 2nd race had to be called off because loads people couldn't see me(or others - vice versa) but I could see them, even after clearing cache twice. All with the same settings too.

I'll admit I do suspect network stability does entirely depend upon superstition and placebo but one thing that I know helps with allowing drivers to see each other is enabling port forwarding for the PSN. For those who are able to set this up there's an easy to follow guide here: http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/PlayStation_Network/ simply select your router type and follow the steps.
I will point out, this isn't guaranteed either, I have been 1 of the drivers that both weekends so far I have not been able to see people and I have already done all of this, when I originally did it, it did help, but lately (and only in the CSS races randomly) I have not been able to see some people and seems to be the same people.

On this point, are you still hosting tomorrow jonny? I just hope I will be able to connect as we haven't been able to connect to eachother all weekend (might be same issue as the rest though). Is there a back up host just in case?

It's all true gentlemen. But it still never happened to anyone not see each other when the room was done with a fixed host, whether it's on Friday night or Wednesday morning. Never!

Im sorry mate but that is total bollocks. Drivers not seeing eachother is down to individual conections nothing to do with the host at all.
