I love it how people make ludicrous claims and don't live up to it hahaha. If he doesn't send one to you LV by tomorrow then i would post this discussion of new the "oh I am making a ludicrous claim" thread hahaha.

Once that's over someone should host and we should race, track/car? If you pick track I pick car or we both pick our combos or we settle down on one?
 
He's accepted haha. Ok so to make it fair let's get some car/track combo suggestions. Make it something out of the recommended car list. Gonna go sport hards with restricted tuning, ABS only.
 
If this is going to happen... So if this is a stock car battle like stock vs. Stock and same tires no aids... Put me down for a birthday ticket whoever wins gets a birthday ticket of the year of there choice.

I ran a time trial on my giveaway thread. TTS on London, but that said there is hardly any room for overtaking. What about a GT-R at R246?

The prize stands at a car, and birthday ticket of the winners choice

Furthermore, If he accepts and wins, he will be featured on the next GTPodcast as a racing god. One does not simply, beat LVracerGT in the same conditions.

Seriously though, this isn't a concept car but a testing prototype, and I'm pretty sure it's pointless to test anything other than the true C7 specs.
And since it's released in about 2 months (as it wasn't made available a couple of years ago) I'm pretty certain most of the finetuning has already been done and the GT5 production C7 will drive very similar if not completely the same since I'm guessing GM won't be so stupid to give specs from an early prototype example with all sorts of inherent early flaws to sort out by (you've guessed it) testing.

If i may make a interesting turn of events for the battle put no collisions on. Think about it. Stock same make car and same track no collisions (so no drafting) just pure skill will show.

And who ever wins in will give say 3 instead of one birthday tickets of the year or years of winner's choosing and i will send in about a week when I get to the new place.

Which side are the idiots, exactly? Because I'm seeing some detailed posts with reasoning for how the car handles on both sides of the argument, and then I just see 5-6 posts in a row of self-aggrandizing nonsense about how those detailed posts explaining the handling characteristics (on both sides) are made by idiots because the car so obviously handles terribly/awesomely.

People can't fully understand the world because of it's infinite complexity. So we think about our world in simple black or white terms. The car is either good or bad, and if my opinion is correct than yours must be wrong, for surely my opinion isn't wrong. This fundamental function of the human mind causes us, or rather some of us, to polarize ourselves and push each other to ever more extreme ideas.

A car can not possess the quality of good handling ,or bad handling, because they don't exist. I can't measure handling ,and terms like great and terrible don't have any real meaning. The car in question performs better than a Samba Bus but can't match a Z/06, so it's better than some and worse than others. It is what it is.

In a perfect world we would stand above our flaws and work together, combining our experiences and opinions to form a more complete understanding of the subject. Best of luck !

My advice is to think about what this car will be in the real world. Sure it will be driven at the track by some, but it also has to function as a comfortable daily driver for people with little driving skill. Personally I feel the car does just fine for what it is. And as I've said before, we'll have to wait for the performance version of the C7 to see its true ability.

I'd say RX-7 at Eiger, or a McLaren MP4 at Grand Valley, just post the room number somewhere, I want to see. :dopey:

We'll agree upon the combo.
Remember, we both should be comfortable with the combo first and have a good and clean race second.
The spectacle comes third. :)

Laguna Seca... I don't like it (although I can run 1:35s there in C7 in stock shape).

Well, since this is a C7 thread, I say C7 on Laguna Seca with CS tires and no aids.
