Wow, big thing to say! 👍

Start saving up money to buy it in real life!

If everything goes to plan, I will be viewing one personally on Friday.:)

The only problem with owning one is that I doubt I will ever spend that much money on a car.

Far better things to spend money on!

Well, now that we got the new Vette, I am still waiting for the new ZL1 Camaro!

Now that would be a great matchup: ZL1 Camaro VS Stingray Vette.

Stingray 0-60: Under 4.0 seconds

ZL1 0-60: 3.8-3.9 seconds

580bph vs 450bph.

1847 KG VS 1500 KG.

I hope this GM/PD relationship is only beginning.

So I have a gripe....tey said 0-60 in under 4 secs...best I've done is a 4.318 in stock form with oil change and the standard hard sports tires...anyone hit the under 4 mark?

Its a game. Things are wacky. I think PD's tire choices were kind of generalized. The Vette comes with better rubber than family sedans and trucks in real life.

Try the mediums.

Anxious to see one in real life. Hard to get a true feel from photos. Although the back 3/4 view is awesome, hunched and very aggressive.

At a quick glance you instantly recognize it as a Vette which I guess is good. Some folks are complaining that it has a bunch of other cars styling cues and I can see their point. Vette styling always seemed to be ahead of the curve not following trends. But the elements are pretty great to me. I like the Ferrari like grill style and the GTR- like side gill and roof line. At least it's got a controversial element-the tail lights. I'm not crazy about the tail light housing where it kind of droops on the ends though. Lots of sharp creases which is different too for a Vette but very typical of modern car design.

Not as wild as it could have been designed. Still an evolutionary look from the Shark C3.
I'm old enough to remember how crazy the C3's looked when new. My dad taking me to the showroom when the "new Vette" would come out every year. Even through the boring mid 70's, it was still a NEW Vette!

not a fan of how slow it is between shifts (via no drivetrain upgrades) makes drifting in it kind of tricky unless you keep it mashed in third.

I share the same feelings. I am going to go ahead and say it, but the 2014 Stingray is now my favorite car of all time.

I really liked everything about it once I saw the full car, but after driving it around on Route X and exploring the car in photo mode, I absolutely love it.

:)

For real, the Stingray has grown on me as we'll. I just get in and go..on any circuit...it's pretty good. It all comes down to the driver.

I think its probably a good time to now change the title to Something like "Corvette Stingray Final Prototype DLC Out Now!"

The car is amazingly light considering it's made from freakin' adamantium!!!

I don't know if anybody has noticed yet, but the thing is completely indestructible. Head on crash against a wall at 2XX Km/H = No damage whatsoever. Not even a scratch, a dent or the now trademark in GT5 "brown panels". Nada.

Basically GM told PD to show us a pretty car and allow us to drive it. They gave them some specs and pictures and that's it. We aren't allowed to damage it, paint it, upgrade it or even hear it with a proper engine noise 👍.

My bob managed to damage it earlier - massive scuff mark on the bonnet.

I took mine out on comparison laps at the n'ring, running at 8/10ths, not trying for any records or gold trophies. All cars at even 533 PP. New Stingray 7:48, GTR Black Mask '12 - 7:46, Audi R8 4.2 7:50 and ta-da LFA 7:36. Yes LFA very nice and notably quicker than the other three. So Stingray close to GT-R but felt different, corners and handles much better but acceleration way off, takes a long time to build up speed.

Also noted this on the American Car Seasonal, Stingray fell way behind at Daytona and took 1 1/2 laps to get up tp the mid-190's, by then the lead pack was too far ahead. Similar at R246 Stingray lost ground on the long straight. If allowed, I would change the gearbox and fool around with the ratios.

Why would I want 2 cars that I can't upgrade and tune? I wonder how much time PD spent on two un-customizable cars instead of fixing and improving the game? Heck, I was king hoping for a new RM but I was very disappointed that I couldn't do anything to the new car 👎.

To drive stock as they are? They are fun to drive on Sports Hard tyres (or Comfort Soft).

Don't get me wrong, I too was looking forward to upgradable production cars and am quite disappointed you can't and don't understand why you can't tune them but I still enjoy them however.
As for the time it took them, how's that relevant to being customizable or not? They've now modelled the C7, we might get the upgradable production version in a while as well (the modelling is the same).

This.

The car is amazing already, and like the GT86, we will get the final production soon. I'm doing alot of tests with the car and enjoying the C7, I didn't post here with my review or opinion yet! I'll put him with some comparisons and in a race later.
