CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

Congratulation to @Eyeseeh50 on the championship, I knew you would be hard to beat in Sweden given past results. I thought I was driving well on the rally, keeping it clean and not going silly slow, then I got to the end of the first stage and it said I was somewhere down about 20th! (this was before a lot of the quicker players had been through too), the level of competition in this championship has rocketed since the beginning.

Once again thank you to @Eyeseeh50 and @TRGTspecialist for organising/hosting this.

See you next season.

Thanks @GOTMAXPOWER and congrats @Eyeseeh50 on the title :) When I saw both of you had finished lower down I did wonder if I'd have an outside chance, but in the end I would've needed to win the power stage to tie. Gave it my best shot but that was never a realistic prospect haha. Fully agree that the competition both in speed and consistency has been just fabulous.

Looks like the new season is firmly up and running (phew!). I forgot to mention that similar to past seasons each rally ends on every Monday, 9pm BST.

Beware the conditions in Monaco; since we're not running Sweden, I thought it'd be only fair to include a lot of the snowier stages......... :P

Congrats also to chapellieeee who in Codies' eyes at least, has already managed to earn 2 points!

Not sure how that happened - presumably just a bug. Or chapellieeee knows something we don't

Round 1 is done - true to form, the snow, ice and cliffs of Monaco (plus the fun but death-trappy Alpine) were unforgiving, with only 18 of the 30 starters making it to the finish. I finally managed a crash-free CRAP rally, which proved to be decisive in getting the win. Early days though, with everything still to play for in the next 3 rounds.

Was also pleased to see that it was a 1-2-3 result for controller users........first time I've seen that happen in CRAP. Who needs those silly toy wheels, eh? :P ;)

Next up it's Finland, with the R4 cars. Times should be pretty close with this combo, so it'll be interesting to see if the field will be shaken up at all. Have fun everyone! :)

Monte was fun in the Alpine. With some practice I think I could have come home 2nd. I really blew it on the power stage and dropped from 3rd to 5th. I was surprised to pick up a point, my first on a power stage.

So yesterday I drove finland in a league. After 6 stages i had a 4:44 lead to 2nd place and felt very comfortable in my car. All it takes is a second... Before the stage I took a small break to answer a pm and got a bit distracted

I am way back in Finland. I don't know what it is about the R5 cars. I feel fast and on the limit but end up losing 15s per stage. I think it's their excessive weight that throws me off and I can't get used to how to throw them into corners. Also doesn't help that I'm afrraid to take the jumps flat out!

Times should be pretty close with this combo

Was sort of right - most times were fairly close........apart from rein who was miles ahead of everyone else. Impressive stuff as always. 👍

With me + a few others having a bit of a 'mare, @GOTMAXPOWER and welshy's consistency puts them on top at the halfway point.

(Note: nachu_capo had to change his PSN ID for this rally, so his results are now under nachosimo97.)

Just 2 to go then - the penultimate rally is Germany with the F2 kit cars. Hmm, FWD? DR tarmac physics? Hinkelsteins?

Good luck :P

Sorry the results are late tonight, a computer update I thought would take 20 minutes actually took 2 hours, so I couldn't access the spreadsheet. D'oh! :dunce:

Germany proved to be a less perilous affair with a healthy 34 drivers making it to the finish - about half of which were within just a minute of the winner jhf884. The final round is shaping up to be a very close title fight - the top 3 are just 4 points apart, and there's probably 6 drivers who have a realistic shot of winning!

Every rally seems to end with myself and @TRGTspecialist separated by one position, really good rivalry over the past however many seasons.

And like past rallies, the lower-placed of us did better in the power stage, so we got the same number of points for the round, again! Yep and a great DS4 rivalry too, even if I couldn't always match the consistency of your pace 👍

Just one more to go! With the Group A cars - the class the CRAP championship started with - we're gonna go through all four of Wales' long stages, then for good measure one last run through one of the quintessential Dirt Rally stages, Sweet Lamb. Good luck everyone, have a blast
