First off, let me just say that I'm relatively new to this tuning malarky, and still have a way to go before I get to the starry heights of RKM, Praiano and RVR. (I salute you and all the other greats, whom I have a humbled admiration for)
It's probably best to use my tunes as a base platform, from which you can mould the cars to your personal preferences. Think of them as a factory delivered race car which you tweak to your style to get that edge.

So, introduction over, lets get it on!

I'd never really liked this car, as it always seemed dramatically underpowered and lacked any sense of speed. I tried a couple of things to improve it, but initially didn't have much joy. After a little bit more tinkering it all clicked into place, this car is more about cornering speed than outright pace.

The Extras.
Purchase everything for this car, EXCEPT the Rigidity Improvement.
(Engine rebuild and Rigidity Refresh as required)
Racing Soft Tyres fitted

Finished car specs
Max Power - 394BHP
Weight - 1100Kg
PP - 568
Mileage of test car - 1044.7 miles

The Settings.

Aero - 35/60

Transmission - Set max speed slider to 174mph
Adjust for each track accordingly.

Differential - 13/54/44

Suspension
-20/-20
14.4/12
8/3
7/4
6/5

Camber & Toe
2.5/2.0

Brake Balance - 7/10 (Adjust for your personal preference though)

Assists (Optional)
SRF - On
TCS - Off
ASM - Off
ABS - 1-4
Driving Line - On, but only as braking reference points

Tests
Results are based on my, admittedly rather limited, abilities and should only be used as a guideline, rather than a target. I also only use the regular DS3 controller, so a wheel & pedal set will infinitely improve upon these times.

Tuner's Comments - The handling is now really crisp and precise, I wish I'd done this before!

SRF Off HSR test - Same times possible

*All times tested include SRF on and ABS, because I haven't got the talent to carry those times without. This also shows the potential of the car, rather than my abilities. Also, I only have a DS3, so don't have the same level of control as you would have from using a wheel and pedals set.*

The Ultimate All-Rounder 6 speed Gearbox?
0612_z%2B2008_audi_r8%2Bgear_lever.jpg

Some people will tell you there's no such thing, and that every car's gearbox needs to be completely different. Although many cars will benefit from having a completely tailored gearbox, there are some gearboxes that can become useful for more than just the car they are intended for.

My personal favourite is one that I have nicknamed the "Piranha 6". This is a gearbox tune for the Autobacs Garaiya which was created by Praiano. (Nicknamed as such as I've always seen the name and at first glance read it as Pirhana) I've used this particular format to great effect on several cars, and have found it useful whilst adding other people's tunes where they simply use the "stock and slider" method.

The tune goes as follows:

  • Reset your gears to default
[*]Have a look at the shortest value your 6th gear has (value on the right)[*][*]If this value is less than 0.710 move your final drive ratio to the left. If it's more then move it to the right.

Once you have 0.710 as this value you can begin the Pirhana 6 gearbox installation.
  • Set 1st gear to it's longest setting (All the way to the left)
  • 2nd gear - 1.664
  • 3rd gear - 1.280
  • 4th gear - 1.019
  • 5th gear - 0.837
  • 6th gear - 0.710
  • Adjust your final drive for each individual track, where necessary.
NOTE - You'll need to move the top speed slider back 1 click, then forwards 1 to make the ratios change to get the 0.710 in the first section.
It may seem a little bit fiddly at first, but once you have this all set most cars will benefit from this, as the ratios are very evenly spread across the entire box. Any car that I use it with will include the relevant ratio settings for this setup.

I have also been using the same methods with a 5 speed box, which is detailed in a post later in this thread.

Tunes coming soon for - HKS Silvia, Nismo Fairlady S & Z-Tune, Nismo Skyline R & S-Tune, Nissan Option Stream Z

Nice work with the tunes and welcome to the tuning madhouse.
If I might make a suggestion though you should think about giving each tune a separate post and then place a link to that post in either your OP or the second post. This makes it much easier for people to find the individual tunes. As long as your posting tunes you don't have to worry about double posting so it should make it easier for you to later on edit any of your tunes if you decide they need it.
Looking forward to more of your stuff and once again welcome.:gtpflag:

A truly brutish car, with the power of a Norse god, but the handling of a greased up deaf guy. Aside from the handling issues is also one of power delivery, as the turbo lag is immense, only really releasing the fury after 4000rpm.
Granted, this car was originally produced for predominantly straight line racing, but could it be track tuned? Well, almost,,,

The Extras.
Purchase everything for this car, EXCEPT the Rigidity Improvement.

Tuner's Comments - * Untested at the Nurburgring, as I couldn't manage to get a clean lap with this car. It doesn't really like the big bumps too much and over jumpy bits will wheelie itself over backwards. I have, however, tested it on La Sarthe and posted a clean time of 3:41.8xx
There's still a certain amount of understeer left in this, but it's not quite as bad as it originally was. You really need to remember that when you head towards most corners, you're probably doing 50mph more than you really should be!

SRF Off HSR test - TBC (although I expect it to be almost completely undriveable without excessive amounts of TCS)

*All times tested include SRF on and ABS, because I haven't got the talent to carry those times without. This also shows the potential of the car, rather than my abilities. Also, I only have a DS3, so don't have the same level of control as you would have from using a wheel and pedals set.*

Tuner's Comments - I've left out the VCD values, as this is pretty much going to be a personal touch. I prefer a little bit of slide from the rear, so use a 10/90 split, but if you prefer a little more grip then use whatever suits you best. I've tested up to, and including, a 50/50 split and found no real adverse effects from heading up that high, other than a touch of understeer. That said, I would look at changing the differential settings if I was using that setting.

The younger brother of the Advan, this also needed a better setup, and didn't fail to impress once I'd managed to get him stable. This is seemingly slower than the older model, although that could be down to my "noob"-ness to the tuning scene.

One of the all-time great rally cars makes a sweet return to the GT series. I finally got this feeling just about track ready, although there's a few tweaks needed to remove some of the understeer. It's not perfect, but still manages to stomp some great times around the more demanding circuits.

Not one of my favourite cars, but an impressive ground-covering vehicle nonetheless. So much lunacy in one car! It'll take on the Supercar Challenge and win, leaving big number 11's all over the tarmac behind it. Not quite hitting 400bhp, this car definitely punches above it's own weight. It can be a bit of a handful at times, but when you get into it's head you soon realise it's got only one thing in mind - Offend everyone and everything with blistering speed.

For additional annoyability you should paint it using Lotus' Chrome Orange from the Evora, or TVR's Chameleon Orange. (Or something else equally lairy!)

Ahh, the power! Although not quite up there with the Option Z, this version still has enough power to hold a seat in the UN. The handling was the only thing I wasn't completely happy with in this car, so out came the spanners.

Tuner's Comments - A tough call on the rear wing, it really depends on whether you're likely to encounter a big enough bump to put you into the air. It may sometimes be an unfortunate situation where you have to sacrifice this downforce for overall stability, if the circuit is likely to kill you.

Tuner's Comments - Surprisingly quick and stable for an FF platform car, it's every bit as quick as a BMW M3 GTR around the Nurburgring, despite having nearly 200bhp less. This car corners like a dragonfly and really shocked me into disbelief after finishing the Nurb' lap in that time. There were a few "moments" so this time could have been even faster!

Another legend of the rallying world, the Corolla can be coaxed around the circuits of GT5 in times that would be acceptable in Touring Car events. Stable, and with a good rate of acceleration, this car can make the big boys shiver in the twisties, whilst not being too disappointing when the straights come along. Carlos Sainz wouldn't have thrown his helmet through the rear window of this car!

Combine an NSX engine and a 2 door saloon car and you end up with something special, the Acura CL. A great noise, bags of torque and now with handling to go along with it.

Tuner's Comments - The settings above, including the brake balance and ABS, allow for some braking oversteer heading into the corners. The rear will break traction but it's precise, predictable and controllable. Once you've done around 2 laps under this exact setup you'll start to really enjoy how loose it really is.
Revision now makes it even more manageable, there's still some good times to be had with full throttle 2nd gear corners but it's a lot more stable overall.

The Focus RS's more clinically sane brother, this car would listen to Elgar instead of N-Dubz. A much more civilised drive, but only lacking a small amount of power compared with it's ASBO emblazoned brother. It's not a massive amount slower, but a large amount easier to run round a circuit.

*All times tested include SRF on and ABS, because I haven't got the talent to carry those times without. This also shows the potential of the car, rather than my abilities. Also, I only have a DS3, so don't have the same level of control as you would have from using a wheel and pedals set.*

Ford RS200 Rally Car

Another classic rally car from Ford, the RS200 was a commercial failure when the road versions were launched due to a financial meltdown in Europe, though it became much loved by the rallying and Autocross community for it's super-precise handling. Lancia Delta Integrale Rally Car

The Italians certainly know how to make things look good, and this rallying legend was no exception. One of my all-time favourite cars of that era, I couldn't help myself but to do a grip tune for this! Despite the photo above, this is a circuit tune, but is versatile enough to use for rallying too. (Rally settings will be in red)

Tuner's comments - Not quite as fast as I was really hoping for but still a reasonable circuit racer. Snow and gravel circuits are an absolute joy too!
