Custom Soundtracks in GT5 - What are you listening to?

1. No.
2. I think it allows more than mp3, it says somewhere in-game/manual, but I can't remember what all the options were.
 
Gt1 -> GT5P soundtracks
- the classics and some electros
(motley crue, Duné, and Daiki Kasho is a must in GT)
 
Hardcore.
The Chariot, A Plea For Purging, Botch (Legitimately, one of the best bands no one knows. They almost single-handedly launched an entire sub-genre of music.), Converge (see above), Hundredth, Living Sacrifice, Zao, The Devil Wears Prada, Officer Negative, Norma Jean, Sleeping Giant, For Today. The list goes on and on.
When I'm playing competitively though, music off. Need to hear those gear shifts.

Create it in XMB first, then go into the Music settings and select the Custom BGM and pick the playlist you created in XMB. It's not the easiest menu to navigate (I was confused at first too) but it does work.
 
I found it yet, but i can only select single .mp3 songs, no complete playlists...:confused: Does it need a special name?
In the in-game selection it show's me every single track of th playlist but no option to select the whole one... :ouch:
 
I will just listen to whatever is on GT5's soundtrack list, I love some of the songs and something about playing Gran Turismo's soundtrack makes it feel more authentic.
 
I have found if you group songs in a different way so it changes the content of your music folders, it will play more tunage. (Press square when your selecting your music) I got all golds on my B license listening to After The Burial, Periphery and Born of Osiris lol
 
I have about 400+ songs I want to add but Like the posts say above I can only select one I have created a playlist with them all in and can only choose one, so I must how must I group them to play them all ?

Whatever folder your music is in and you press X on it, it just highlights the one song but it will play everything that folder starting with the song you have highlighted.
 
I've been listening to Eminence Front by The Who, but I guess I'll have to fool around with the folder thing and see if I can get it to play more songs. Glad the folks here have figured out how to do that, because it sure as hell doesn't give you any instructions in the game itself.

Yes it was very confusing but luckily if you have a play list made, it seems to play the whole thing when you select one song. I've been rocking out to my songs and am loving that they included this feature.
 
To play a whole album select play mode and the repeat mode has to be set to folder. It will then play all songs from that folder.
 
i will be listening to all major GT sound tracks,

yes, i have them all, GT1, GT2, GT3 & GT4
will need to add GT5 to the list to compleate

Anyone know how to prevent a song from playing... that one with the kids singing about love and god is just getting annoying.

in the jukebox there should be an option to say when it plays just disable it from playing in menu

the best menu song is the one with the clapping, it is nice and it something that makes u want to clap with it as well
 
Hi fellow racers,

I was just wondering about what songs to put in my custom soundtrack and I would love some suggestions from other GT5 enthusiasts! So, please share your favorite driving music with me.

The standard soundtrack is mostly pretty dull, except for some songs, such as the apex remix of london elektricity's just one second (the song from the 458 Italia trailer). Also, it seems now during longer races you at least hear more than one song (in older GT's you just heard the same song over and over again, very annoying).

I know a lot of the purists race without any music, but for me, especially during the more boring races or during time trials, it's a welcome distraction to have some tunes in the background to accompany the engine roar.

Some songs that will pump fuel through my veins:

Tiësto - Flight 643 (gotta have some Dutch stuff included :) )

You should type the YT syntax correctly.

Example:

Code:

Remember to replace () with []! :)
