Custom Soundtracks in GT5 - What are you listening to?

If I would be listening music while driving, (which I never do) I definetly would be using my small earphones connected to iPod, under my normal bigger ones.

That way I could control volume while racing/driving.

It really surprises me a lot, how excited people are with music-options in this game. I think you cant change anything related it's volume or songs when driving, without stepping out from track, so it's useless then.

If they implement possibility to map your 'stereos' into the wheel-buttons, then I'm delighted, and could maybe download some good list into PS3... but never will listen music while racing even in that case.


There is so much info in engine-sounds and in all soundscape, that I could not give those tenths away.
 
With the new custom soundtracks I think I will definitely use them. I think a high percentage of my playlist will be Muse, with a bit of Green Day, BFMV, A7X thrown in for good measure. With Muse, some songs scream driving song, Knights of Cydonia, the new single Uprising, Plug In Baby, New Born etc.

Maybe not everyone likes wearing earphones/headphones while driving? 💡
 
I always play with music off in game and even in replays. I prefer to hear the engine noises etc rather then music.

If there was an option to turn the HUD off as well id do that. I find it all distracting. I change gears by listening to the car.

Well, I will put in some of my favourite Metal songs from Nightwish, Children of Bodom, Metallica, Slipknot, and also some Deathcore songs (a brutal good game needs brutal music XD)
Also, I will put in some songs from the previous GTs (Garbage, Ash, Feeder, Kaiser Chiefs)
Probably I put off every single track who isn't Rock, Metal, Crossover or Industrial ^^

Yeah you've got to have a bit of nostalgia in there, I think these were in earlier Gran Turismo's but its all a bit hazy so correct me if I'm wrong.

Definitely going to throw in some Van Halen!

I wouldn't mind if Polyphony Digital only kept their in-house music in GT5 [menus, pre and post race themes, etc.] - so there would be more disc space for extra vehicles, tracks, etc.

We can create our own soundtrack, so we really don't need to hear a smattering of different "popular" Billboard hits to race to this time. :sly:
 
I will probably include some Dire Straits. I have no idea yet for the rest of the music, I have to think a little longer about that. Maybe speed demon by michael jackson also. But only for the menu's. I'm not such a big fan of the menu music of GT5p, and I think it'll be kinda thesame music for GT5, so I'll be happy with a custom soundtrack.
 
First thing I do on racing games is turn all the music down to zero (well apart from the menus), if its driving or a replay the music has to go.

Does my head in otherwise.

So I'm guessing I'm the only one that found the Menu music to be calming?
 
No I think it's calming too. But I don't like that. Who wants soft music when they have a Ferrari standing in front of their eyes, ready to race it?
I'm not meaning metal or stuff like that (I'm not into metal) but I mean music that has a bit more spice than that softy menu music. Music that makes you want to drive instead of turning off the game and take a nap.:grumpy:

Heck no! I especially love the menu music from Prologue, and as I say, remix all the classic tunes from all the GT games from all regions using actual musicians, and I'll pay whatever GT5 costs.

The one thing I'm hoping from user soundtracks is that it doesn't replace the GT5 music. If it does, I'll either just use the GT5 playlist, or go through the ridiculous process of re-recording all the good tunes, and saving them to my hard drive.
 
Not that I'll be listening to music while I'm driving, although sometimes I might feel the need to. Menu music though will be a big one for me. Wouldn't mind this music while driving Ken Block's Monster WRX:


Or some chilled out house would go down nicely in some Lamborghini showrooms ;D

 

A remix of John Denvers classic "country roads" with a little flare I think the Techno fans will like.

West Virginia is the best place on Earth!!!!
