I think they put the UFO in just to have some fun, that it was an American release, and put one in because of Area 51's 'secretness.'

Gah, I still see no point. Especially if it replaces a skyline police car!

I agree!

In other news I have gotten a good deal farther in survival mode than my previous record of 4.
Yay.

Ha ha, me too. I've only gotten 4. I do alright but the game just picks the courses I hate so much and I just stop trying cause of that.

Here's an awkward glitch that happened to me. We made very slight contact and this was the outcome. I mean we barely hit each other too. Awkward.

**Ah damnit, I just realized I double posted...Oh well.

Kinda odd it was our two rear wheels that made contact just very slightly too. KInda reminded me of what happens when open wheeled race cars make contact. He flew into the opposite direction from where I landed, he was basically sitting upside down on the main straight.

How did you manage to get your headlights on during a day race anyways??

I think you forgot the most important one..

ONLINE PLAY!!

Btw:

Maybe more advanced tuning options?
The ability to put on different body kits, more wheel choices.
To be able to take of those crappy neons.
The ability to put in your own name, instead of PLAYER 1.
RIVALIES!!
etc..
One player ladder game like mentioned above, with sponsorships and sponsor requirements..
More umbrella girls..

1. Better graphics are almost a guarantee in sequels.
2. Agreed with the damage, but if you just scrape the wall it looks fine to have just the bumper go flying :)
3. Tuning like GT4 would only happen in GT4 because D1GP games are more for the casual player wheras GT4 is for the more hardcore player.
4. More tracks is probably a guarantee.
5. I can drive in a straight like pretty well, I don't know what problems you're experiencing.
6. Sure, why not.
7. I'd prefer none, or at the very least the option to turn it off.
8. More cars sounds fine, but D1GP doesn't allow AWD cars. :dunce:

Damn I can't believe I forgot Online play but anyway ok we can take away AWD car's.

Something else I would to do is be able to paint the car's more like if I want a Red Hood and Front Clip & Black Doors Red Trunk and Black Rear Clip I guess like I want to be able to Paint each part of the Body.

What about a Create A Track & a Career Mode W/a Ladder System. I would also like to be able to adjust the Steering Angle & Ride Height along with Horse Power and Torque.

Whomever has the NTSC-J version, did you need to modify your PS2 to play the game? Also, was the game difficult to play with the different character (language) set? After reading up on the details of the game, it sounds as if the NTSC-J version is a better game than the NTSC (US/CA) version. I can source the Japanese version for around 60dollars shipped, and if it's a much better game, and easy enough to follow, I'd rather have it.

Nobody's willing to help me on this? :(

Yes you hae to mod your PS2 to play an NTSC-J game. Unless you have a slimline and a swapdisk.

I don't have the NTSC-J version so I can't help you on differences between the two.......I'd say for what it's worth, just get the american version, differences are miniscule at most. A slight graphics difference and a couple of bonus cars are different. that's about it. IMO, not worth the extra cost and hastle if you ask me.

Thanks for the response. I think I'll stick with the US version. :)
