Hello, I need your help, can someone maybe fix the light on this track, it is quite good and the only available layout of 2013/14 but the track is just too dark in the night...

Can someone maybe fix this one? Because I basically got no knowledge in anything


And can anyone pls tell me how to remove this textures on the grid slots?
What do I have to delete or remove?

Hi Everyone. Got something that i need to ask for help.

I'm planning on commissioning an 3D artist to make this car for Assetto Corsa available at an actually decent quality. Just an large issue i have ran into is the fact that finding interior pictures that isn't from the road car seems to be completely impossible. At least for me uneducated google search brain. Though i'd ask in here if someone happens to have literally any images be it low, medium or high quality images. Feel like asking in here regarding this is fine as it's still AC related :lol:

If anyone happens to know of any decent images send me an DM. Muchas gracias.

Yeah it's the same for me. Around 2010-2012'ish I lost my passion with F1. Not that I don't follow new F1... no I still watch every race and love Max who's a real old school driver. It's just that it has become sterile and the drivers have no real charisma (besides a few). Most of them look like boy band members.

It was different in the old days.

Why not create amazing 80's cars from the turbo era? 1982, 1983 and 1984 we only have SimDream. And we still don't have 1985 cars which was a great year in F1. Seven past or future World Champions on the grid: Lauda, Keke, Prost, Senna, Piquet, Jones, Mansell.

I know the answer though... they're not that interesting for the masses. 90% of the AC audience wants all new stuff. I have the 2022 season on my hard drive and I gotta say these new cars and tracks are very well made.. nothing to take away from them. That's probably what sells. It's only loons like me and a few others who love the classic F1 and classic racing in general. :)

Anyway RSS should update that old Lotus 79, and bring her with the new CSP Standards, that would be something if they'll do it, and maybe putting alondside a competitor of that year, maybe the Brabham?. I remember i've seen some WIPs on their Instagram about a Mclaren MP4/5B but it seems we have to wait. They were also making a Mercedes W196 R fromt the '54/'55 season, and yet, nothing happened. But for '90s formulas we have ASR Formula, which lately they're rocking with producing some very nice gems from the '80s to '90s. You should give them a look. Maybe you'll like their mods.

Yeah not complaining. Indeed we have some great classic F1's. RSS 1990 is totally underrated as well. They might be my favorites of them all. Sure the season and grid is all skin based but the driving is amazing. Also the sounds are great.

I have played this season through like 7 times and it's a genuine Prost vs Senna duel (I always drive with the Professor hehe). Sure it's skin based grid but ironically the best seasons I've had a are skin based grids (VRC 2005 and 2007 and the Kunos based 2004 that I collected together).



I have nice 1985 cars that were shared to me privately. But we definitely need that year. I wish RSS or ASR did that year.
 
Do you guys know how to change the name of the track without interfering the variant name? I don´t want to have the Nürburgring named like this as it is shown here, but re-naming it to just "Nürburgring" also re-names the chosen variant.

We definitely need the 1977- 1981 F1 cars as this was a magical era.

What I've done in every track, in which I have more than just one layout, is basically change the name to, for example, "Nürburgring - GP Layout", "Nürburgring - Endurance", "Nürburgring - Nordschleife" etc. That way makes, it makes it appear everywhere as "Nürburgring" on top, "Nürburgring (3)" where the full track list is and then as "Nürburgring - GP Layout" and so on as Layout name.

Already found who is going to make it & some people might know him from his Super GT adventures. Just don't want to commission something that ends up being more research work than actual modeling work :lol:
 
Quick note - here's a new link for Aviano, as the sharemods link that it came with originally breaks the CM UI. It's the one with all the bells and whistles, the "updated" one on Breathe's list.


Feel free to let me know if this breaks rules, but I think it doesn't.

Cockpit shaders don't seem to load properly, everything is very flatly shaded?
Pardon me for late respond, yes it is very flat since i haven't uv wrapped the interior.

Ahhh... So it trips up the logic and then simply resorts to using the first layout name?

Which version of the car is this, i have 2 and the skin doesnt work on either?
 
One day we'll get something interesting from these guys again. One day. Until then it's the same boring open wheel car over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. This thing isn't even good. It's super basic compared to VRC's versions.
I have also noticed that for VR use, RSS is behind VRC and URD designs. It’s missing the fine 3D details in the cockpit that’s making driving in VR mode so enjoyable. Sure I did not test all the models and as an VR user only in cockpit view, but still to me it appears RSS does not have a (proper) VR-HS to see his own design in 3D or he is mainly focused on monitor use only.
BTW think URD is underrated by everyone, but this car was the best looking in my VR test drive.

Edit wooow, did get an xxxx reaction from an RSS fanboy or the guy behind RSS! Sorry, but I did test them and this is my verdict in VR mode, as there is clear a winner. Sorry about the bad review for you, but I’m not going to lie on this.

A great track that in my humble opinion is the 1967 Nurburgring by WilliamTRiker. That racetrack doesn't even have CSP functions like rain fx and similars. Would it be very nice to see it updated to the new standards
Hi Manuel, I downloaded and checked the track in question, I have to say that it was already very well made and also had Rain Fx, Spectators etc, so there was really little that could be done to improve it, however I modified the grass textures and desaturated the vegetation a bit. ;)

The new tones of the asphalt and the landscape are truly spectacular, they add authenticity... although in my case there are a couple of minor issues: some flags look out of place with this extension, and for my taste, there are too many wildflowers, too many... I like it when there are a few scattered around, but here they look like a cultivated flower field. Also, they invade the edge of the asphalt at several points on the track and are rendered in an unnatural way...

I've tried to delete some of the code to keep what I like (the tones of the vegetation and asphalt), but my limited knowledge doesn't allow me to do it correctly...

Anyway, thanks for sharing your work.
Aviano was my first experimental job, and I've always wanted to be a florist, so it's fine. I'll fix it and update it, no worries. I'm starting to get tired of all those flowers, too... 😅

As for the flags, I haven't touched them, 🙄 so could it be a problem with the original track? Are you using the ClimaxF1 skin?

Unfortunately, I'd like to hear from more experienced users if it's possible to replace a texture in the kn5 file with one of my own using a single line of code in ext_config, which I'll place in a track folder.
Unfortunately, the color of the grass FX is generated based on the texture of the underlying terrain, and often takes on that jarring "brownish" tone. So, I have terrain textures that are perfect for creating beautiful green lawns, but I don't know how to replace them. :(
