I'm getting occasional sound and a rare picture loss now that you mention it. I only use my ps4 for gaming and only in 1080p with HDR since it's not a pro, so I should be good no?

Can't hurt to check. PS4 base does support 4K video at max 30 fps I think, so that would require DHCP 2.2 for DRM material. I think you simply hold power pressed for 5 seconds to get to the safe boot menu where you can check. I didn't have the problem with the pro connected to my old 1080p tv, yet on my 4K HDR tv I occasionally blacked out for a second.

Well the no stop from mid pack doesn’t work as well, started 8th and ended up finishing 4th and still couldn’t keep up with the leaders in the last few laps. I don’t like having to drive defensively in those last few laps, I want to be able to be more aggressive in holding my place at least. I’m gonna go back to the mediums with a one stop, maybe on lap 6 again depending on how the race is playing out.

So this guy says “WTH?” to me after the race? I’m not really sure what I did wrong here besides not letting him freely pass or punt me. Sure I kinda turned into him in the first video but what was I supposed to do there? I tried my best to avoid him, but he just couldn’t wait to pass. 2 wide just doesn’t work there. He ended up with a 3 second penalty from that which leads me to the second video.



He went off the road in T1 L10 and ended up right behind me again on the final lap, knowing he had already stuck his nose in and bumped me off once, and that he had a penalty to burn in the next corner I hit the brakes hard going into spoon forcing him to go around me inside so he couldn’t punt me again, knowing I was about to pass him when he had to slow for his penalty.


But I don’t get why he was upset? Shouldn’t it have been me that was upset afterwards?

Hmm, kinda hard to give you a pass on that first video. You're not supposed to look bad, looks kinda bad He could have cut the corner a lot more to avoid a penalty though. Track limits are still pretty lenient at Suzuka. I completely missed Degner 1 in one race, no problem. Same as where you went wide in the video, no penalty. (had the same situation as you, but choose to use the extra room past the wobbly green voluntarily, no penalty)

Best lap I can manage on Race C so far is 1:51.833. Still getting the track down. Pretty much trying to running a clean race and get a feel for the online play.

Finally got a podium at this week's Tsukuba, and my first trip over 27k DR, yay

There are some quick drivers on EMEA tonight. That race I qualified 4th with 1:11.650 and during the race the top 2 were lapping in the 1:11.3s whilst battling!

Just had a great clean race at Suzuka swapping positions multiple times until the A/S driver behind me felt the need to end it this way

Placed his nose against my back bumper and kept pushing me out until I had to brake in fear of going off the side. His excuse, I was trying not to touch grass. Erm, there's no grass in the middle of the road A/S level dirty. Not worth fighting for 13th lol. Fast room, yet could never get up to speed, always something each lap. Better next one!

The same kind of thing happens to me. Every time I fire up my PS4 and GTS, after 10 to 15 minutes of playing I get the 2-3 seconds of black screen. I know it will happen so I practise laps or custom race 'till it happens and then it's done and doesn't happen again. Not too comfortable about playing in the set up menu though

I've been doing SF19 lobbies the last 3 days but I'm going to give Race C a try. as much as i try to get better suzuka just doesn't suit my driving style or something. Current Lap is 1:52.044 but I'm sure i will beat that before my first race attempt.

Oh man what an Awesome race that was!! I started 8th, Yellaboy started 3rd, I’m not sure what happened to him that he ended up behind me but he did, from lap 2 onward this guy was right on my @$$! Aside from when we passed a couple cars along the way and I’d get away first, he didn’t let off once, he never fell more than .8 behind me. I managed to play defence well enough while keeping my pace that he never got his nose around me either, but one mistake and he was right there waiting, pushing. That was so much fun!!
We ended up finishing 5th and 6th with him still right there on my back bumper.

@Sven Jurgens was in that race too, how did it go man? I saw you had a red dot at the end.

This is the last 3 laps, bust it started on lap 2, we went into the pits touching bumpers, came out touching bumpers and he was right there the rest of the way. I didn’t k ow he was an A+ until after either.

The tyre wear kills race C, you can't really race past the end of lap 3, until the pitstop you're just trying to survive with worn out tyres. Why does PD have to do stupid **** like 13x tyre wear? If you want more wear just make the race longer.

It’s honestly not that bad this week, the cars drive pretty well for each 5 lap stint.

Then as he messes up the chicane and I pas him again he makes sure to push me into the gravel this time to get some distance. Luckily the second time he worked me off he got a penalty.


That race started off wrong anyway.

He knows I'm there, I'm taking the corner as far inside as possible, leaving plenty room on the outside at exit, yet he was incapable of taking the corner any other way. 6 sec lost again. The penalty system hates racing, made for single file parades


Skipping a race, hopefully the backfield will be a bit more competent later on. @Pigems This was the race skipped, signing up for the one in 15 minutes.

Nice! You got me by 4 tenths in that on, 50.6 to 51.0, nice work. I’m pretty proud of finishing 7th in that room, there was a lot of fast guys in that room.

They don't though, the drop-off is at least 3 seconds over 4 laps and you can't use the hard tyres because the pace is nowhere.

Maybe at the top top end of divers, I don’t find mediums that bad though. I’ve done a no stop on hards as well and places well.

@Voodoovaj You are so correct about early tire damage and the effect it has with exaggerated tire wear. Someone lost control, side swiped me early on, into the grass, gravel, spinning. By lap 5 my tires were much worse off than normal. It makes a big difference. Penalties don't compensate for that.

@Pigems well done! Besides the one spin out (that quit after) two of the fast guys took me out later lol. One did the pass before the chicane, yet so far only the Brazilian (I showed in the gif above) has been able to actually go side by side there. Thus pushed out. Then another track re-entry bumped me off in the esses. I think I did pretty good finishing 12th after going back to last several times lol.

Come on people. It's past 9, time to settle down and do some clean racing!

Next one up. Beware nr 16, he pushed me out on the way to the chicane last race. erm 14 now. And 3 and 8th, this is gonna be fun lol.

Un:censored:believable. I'm sitting this one out in the pit while walking the dog. Punted off in lap 1 (while starting last lol) then a dirty block giving me a penalty. Never mind.

Came back just in time to do half a lap and report the two. -2 SR for 2 laps 'racing'. Next one 10 pm, kids in bed!

Man, you’re having no luck tonight Sven, maybe you need to qualify. I got bumped around a couple times in that one, the guy who bumped me off actually thanked me after the race, that’s a new one.

Other than that it wasn’t a bad race, I’ve got one more in me for tonight I think.

That was it for me for tonight, gotta work tomorrow lol. Great race man! And tonight in general, that was a ton of fun again. I couldn’t catch you there at the end, it was nice to finally get to run a few laps with you, always a pleasure Sir.

Oh, and this is what happened to me, I’ve done this twice tonight now, same place, same reason(none).

Jumped into a Race C with the NSX. Started on pole, led every lap, and won, but not quite a Grand Slam as a Singaporean in a GT-R overcutted so that he could set the fastest lap. I ran TCS 1 until Lap 9 where I switched it off, which helped my endgame push to victory. I pitted on Lap 5, so you can guess which lap said GT-R pitted.

Tyres at the end of the race VS another GT-R that pitted the same lap as me, with him running No TCS throughout the race.
