I considered that. That's why I left out the 660. But I ended up choosing the Daihatsu because it's Japanese.

Finally a fast room without any door or bumper banging :) All blue SR at the end of the race, only 2 red dots. On a Saturday!!

Great race, perfecting the slingshot pass on the way to the chicane. I'm going to make a livery for the other SF19 in case it's the car for Brand's. Next race the trouble makers will likely be back after an easy race in the lower SR room. Perhaps if you time it right you can get a string of clean races while the trouble makers yoyo in and out of the max SR room 💡
 
I raced in C 4 times last night, my last being the 10:30 race. I was hoping to see some of you in my racing, but no luck. Anyway, I had some good, and frustrating racing. My best finish was 5th, up 13 spots. My best race was a 9th, up 11 spots and fastest lap of 50.4, which is also my best race lap. What made it my best race was a good first lap (2:12) that was clean but crazy. Then, after pitting in 8th on L5, 3 seconds behind 7th who also pitted, I came out 6 seconds behind him, now in 13th. Not sure what happened there. Anyways, I blew T1 my first time through at speed (L7),and got passed. Luckily, I only got really wide and got back on track. Lost a lot of time on the dirty tires through the esses, but babied them to limit wear, and I was back up to speed by the hairpin, about 3 seconds behind the guy that passed me in 1. Tried to be fast, but smooth. No overdriving, and closed to just over a second on L8. Something happened to him on L9 (a little wide in Degner) and I closed and passed him into the hairpin. I gave him room, he did the same. He got a better drive out of Spoon and was on my outside going into the kink. I lifted to give him room on exit, as the tires were getting worn, which gave him the speed to take the inside at the chicane. I saw it coming and got a good drive behind him...almost touched his bumper coming onto the straight and the drive gave me the speed to get inside into T1. Lap 10 I gapped him in the esses a bit, and he pushed me till the end, but I kept the position. I still can't believe that I set my fastest race lap on lap 8.
Also, to @Pigems , I'm gonna run some laps when I get home from work. I'm coming for you! I don't know if I can catch you, but 48's will come quick as I've found some speed, and my current lap at 49.2 felt slow and full of mistakes. T1&2 seem to be a place where I'm struggling. I go off too often and probably need to ease up there. Sector 2 my fastest is within .25 of the top guys, sector 3 needs a bit of work. You've really stepped it up lately, and to catch you, or even get really close, would be a big feather in my hat. I'll be the first to admit that I would have to consistantly better your Q times before I can really give you a race. I must be getting old, because I make way more errors than I used to.:O
 
Dropped my qualy to 1:50.556 with the 08 Xanavi GTR. I like it alot more than the autech or nsx at suzuka. Suits my driving style it seems. I can be alot more fearless into turn 1 where as I have a tendency to run wide in other cars. Now to see how it is on tires during the race.

I appreciate the kinda words man, I don’t doubt that you’ll find the time and catch me. You’re getting faster every week now it seems, keep up the good work! And always remember, 1 second difference in Q time doesn’t necessarily mean much once the greens flag drops. I’m sure we’d have a great races that would be much closer than you think. You should pop in to the Daily Race runs tonight in the Lobby, that goes for everyone else as well. :)

I’m gonna try to get it started at 9pm EST tonight and all are welcome. 2 runs of each combo. Everyone gets 2 hot laps to set a time before the first race in each combo and the second race with be reverse grid based on previous race results. 6 races in total. I’m gonna open a practice room here shortly for anyone who wants to work on some things or practice. :cheers:

Which cars?
 
For my one race yesterday, , Tsukuba, an improved lap time under 1m11.5 got me P4 on the grid (lowest of 4 races) behind 3 DR-A guys with sub 11.4's, followed them at a safe distance and took third when one of them ran wide at the final turn, returned the favour by running wide and giving him the place back next lap. It wasn't too hard keeping up with them though as they appeared to be knocking lumps out of each other, no penalties though and for races for me with no negative dr or sr results. Felt like the guy who finished third stole my clean race bonus, but I haven't felt the urge for road rage at all this week :gtpflag:

This week’s daily cars/tracks, all same settings as the daily races. It’s just a way for more of us to get a chance to race together and have fun. :)

But we aren't sure about the cars in two of next week's races. :confused:
 
No gt for me yesterday, but i am about to leave work and hope to be on for most of the afternoon and to be able to join the lobby tonight for some good fun. The gr2 cars will be bad for me. The faster the cars get the less i seem to understand how to drive them, did some laps the other day and felt like i was drivig for the first time, was all over the place and just did not understand the cars behavior.
 
A couple of C races today .... First one started good, until I got pushed in the sand . With dirty tires I tried to regain a few positions. Not ...a good idea !! It ended up being my worst race since I play this game. I was all over the place, to the point where I was just laughing out loud. I mean, it was horrible :lol::lol:. Finished dfl obviously ! Funny part is that I did a few Q laps just before, to get in the mood, and I was able to shave a few tenths off my time... Go figure !!
Second one was better. Started in 11th I think. I was able to keep that position for the first half of the race behind a laggy American who was jumping all over the place. I was able to pass him for 10th position 'till I saw Mr. Sven Jurgens appear in my mirror. Realised that i was more or less cruising and that I needed to concentrate a bit ;) I started to drive a bit better and was able to keep that position to the finish line.

Third one was ok. Started 9, passed a few to get in 5th. Made a mistake .... Returned on the track in 13th maybe and I was able to regain my original position in 9th.

Fourth one ...well ... Pushed wide by a south american who didn't want me to go by him (we were in 13/14 or something close :odd: ... And he didn't get a penalty ... Of course). Last place again. I gained one or two positions after that but .... messed up race ! :(
 
I finished my livery, then had a good race, made it to 6th on Suzuka despite some weird grip loss at a place I've never gone off before. However then the next race I get rammed off twice by Brazilians. I'm sitting the rest out in the pit, too many of em in this race. Lag central. Plus I wandered into DR.A so I get the DR Down now when I get rammed off :mad:

Rain stopped, heading outside before I start punting people. I'll leave my car in the pit, should be back to DR.B after this.

I praticed a bit this morning ...about 15 laps. I ran the Toyota since we had the Honda last time (again...assuming it'll be the sf19)
Got down to 1:10:xxx but lots to be gained still. Some of the curves are pretty tricky. Finding the right line at these speed is something else ! ;)

I did 5 laps with the X2014 standard. Whilst the logical car for next week may be the SF19... we have all come to realise that PD has it's own, special kind of logic :crazy:. There are several choices that could be picked for the race *other* than the SF19, keeping in mind they can BoP a car to suit the race duration. :rolleyes:

Yes, it was. It probably will be the SF but I wouldn't guarantee it; this is PD after all. I'm personally going to wait until we know for sure which car it is before practicing.

It would feel kind of bad to dedicate time into practice and it turns out to be a completely different car.

Yeah ! I taught so ;):D but indeed, there is no way of guessing which car it's gonna be. Although I don't mind the practise even if the car turns out to be something other than the sf19. It's not like I've had enough practise at this game anyway !!! :D
 
so, I am warming up for the FIA races and, as I tend to do, I was experimenting.

I noticed that ASM and CSA were not selectable in the options menu. I don't use them so I never noticed this before. When did this become a thing?

I thought it was always that way, only TCS and ABS was allowed, I don’t know much about the FIA races though.


Edit: I’ve got a practice lobby open for anyone wanting to practice. Just under 2 Hours until the first running of the weekly/daily races. :)

I did some laps on Brand's hatch in the Toyota SF19. Time flies in PSVR. My best lap was a 1:08.775 (medium tires)

I hope it's this car, great to drive on this track.

Of course afterwards I took it for a spin on the N24. So much downforce, no lifting for many corners like Flugplatz, full steam ahead. It only doesn't like the karussel that much, hard to get it situated in there. I did a 7:03 with medium tires, should be able to get under 7 but dinner time already.
