I did some laps on Brand's hatch in the Toyota SF19. Time flies in PSVR. My best lap was a 1:08.775 (medium tires)

I hope it's this car, great to drive on this track.

Of course afterwards I took it for a spin on the N24. So much downforce, no lifting for many corners like Flugplatz, full steam ahead. It only doesn't like the karussel that much, hard to get it situated in there. I did a 7:03 with medium tires, should be able to get under 7 but dinner time already.

I wonder if it would actually be faster in that car to go up and outside/around the carousels to keep it flat and stuck to the road?

Oh my goodness, I really do think Tsukuba is the most boring track. I find with no elevation change a track feels so sterile.
Iconic tracks need hills! And scenery!

It looks awesome with the vr! Sucks the kit is so expensive, at least here in Sweden it costs almost as much as ps4 (non-pro)..

I’ve been busy so not much gaming of late...I enjoy vid clips here, so here is a compilation of daily race clips. This is me driving from fun racing to road rage in the weekly races. Please enjoy it.

:gtpflag: Sorry if anyone here was a victim in any of my out of control idiocy shown above.

Stay thirsty, my friends

Did a couple of race C's last night to restore my confidence after a bit of a nightmare FIA session.

My SR had taken a hit at last race in bathhurst so for first race C I was 2nd in qualifying in what was clearly going to be a 2 horse race.

So I semi binned it at turn 1 falling down to 5th. Was back to 2nd by lap 3 but now 6 seconds down on the German on pole. Pegged the gap and realised I had brake balance at -2 which was killing the front tyres. Moved it to +2 for 2nd stint. Tyres held on much better and pushed hard but only took a 1.5 seconds out of the german by finish.

Next race was a more competitive room, started 7 and changed from Lexus to Nissan. Again forgot to check BB which was again at -2, rectified this just before pitstop.

Anyway was upto 4th by lap 8 due to others making mistakes(dont think I actually overtook anyone) and found myself behind the German from previous race and they were struggling particularly brakiing for the chicane.

My problem was that my tyres weren't great and combined with the dirty air getting close enough to effect a pass was difficult.

End of lap 10 I had settled for 4th but German broke mega early for the chicane giving me no choice but to throw it up the inside to avoid contact. I easily made the apex of the right turn but they took offense to my move and bump passed me at the left so 4th it was lol

Still a 2nd and 4th after the nightmare races of the FIA was enough to perk my spirits up

I gave up on this week officially and hosted a n100-n600 street car lobby last night with my 2 buddies. Was probably the best lobby ive ever had. 8-12 people all in different road cars with bop and no tuning with sports softs. Swap track and class every race. Was alot of fun racing. Ill be back for red bull ring and brand hatch this week though.

Turismo jara is jara70 Turismo Rodrigo is is little brother who was playing under jara70 also 2 young fast racers . I was Turismo Psycho in a other life loll :)

Are there requirements for getting onto the Turismo team? Like speed/wins or something like that, or some sort of status that needs to be maintained like A+? Or is it just an invite only thing?

how does someone make a lobby for next weeks daily and leave grip reduction on track edge low? do people think that means low grip?

i cant stand lobbies with that cheesy setting. you can go off and it feels like you are still on the track. the amount of lobbies i don't join because it is set to low is too damn high.

I actually bought a second kit. It was a BF deal for the new version. CAD 200 with camera, Astrobot and Moss. That's 100 less than the base ps4. The one I bought at release was as much as I bought the ps4 pro for. It has worn out a bit from all the use. Scratches on the lenses and the padding at the back is disintigrating. I pretty much only gamed on PSVR for more than a year, sometimes over 3 hours a night. That was before GT Sport took over my life. It is worth it!

As I understand it, you have to go to team headquarters for an initiation process. These are the last two guys who applied. I don't think they made it.

RACE C, a Podium finish! from 11th to 3rd.. And how did i do that? Only one real mistake, and everyone else making more mistakes.. I had a few rounds with a guy that passed me, when i made my mistake with close close racing. Found more speed at the chicane and all in all had a great race. And for me a podium does feel better than a 6th place or whatever.

My first Race A this morning. QT 1:11.782. Started 2nd. Finished 2nd.

Been matched a few times the same drivers a couple of times. I consider those drivers as practically guaranteed clean racing now. I want to be like one of those drivers.

Last race C.....started 10th. I was able to gain a few spots on the first half of the race. Got out of the pit in 7th. Someone made a mistake at Degner ....6th. Someone else serving a penalty ...5th. And a sweet pass taking the inside at turn 15 (the fast left hander) ...4th. Held that spot to the finish line. My best result on race C this week. Feels like a podium anyway !!! :dopey:

I wish I was in those races. I had one good clean race, where managed to get the pole and sneak away from everybody. Other than that one, the other 15-20 Tsukuba races I've done this week, have been full of pushing and divebombing. 2 were at SR A, the rest were SR S.

My game just froze starting lap 2 of race C. First time its happened during a race. Hmmm.

Same thing happened to me in Race A last night during first lap last turn. I ended up having to restart the PS4

So, A and A+ are bad tryhards or what?
The **** I had to witness/suffe is insane. People going wide on t1, rejoining like a freaking idiot and then complaining about the room being a mess. What's the point of 5 seconds penalty if the guy you just took out loses 10+. I've hear about people blocking on purpose during quali on fia races, s/s people at that. I had to vent. Don't get me started on people flashing lights at every turn thinking they have a right to your track position.

I've heard that they ask you three questions before they consider you:
1. What is your name?
2. What is your quest?
3. What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

I had my share of those too.

Very obvious but that first lap T1 and T2 are huge. Most good races it feels like a group effort to get set-up. A free for all at the start lets P1, P2, etc.. break away 90% of the time. Working together gives everyone a better shot at winning.

You need to make an account if you want it to track all your race statistics. The leaderboards work without but you can get detailed race history real time driver rating changes etc.

And have some patience with the site. It's a one man project from @jasguer doing his best to balance life and keep the site going. PD doesn't make it easy changing things all the time. It's a work of love, and it's awesome.

This is my favorite page

Look at all those tracks PD!
I need to work on Miyabi, BB raceway and Autopolis to get all green inside the blue! Miyabi, anyone remember that one

I guess I lost you again to the slow cars. N100, I can cycle faster  It's so easy to over steer these slow cars on a controller on sports tires, I do not have the patience for it nor the finger dexterity. Good luck!

Awesome!! Thanks in million....

Don't get me started on people flashing lights at every turn thinking they have a right to your track position.

This isnt always someone being a bad sport, but quite often just controller users with clumsy thumbs. Flash lights is L3, and when you're braking and turning hard or flicking one way to another for a chicane it's very easy to accidentally flash. In fact, I'd go so far to say that if someone is flashing you in tight corners but not in the straights, then it is probably unintentional.

Having said that I agree with your other points. There are definitely a lot of morons out there.

What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
African or European?

Can someone help with my Tsukuba problem? I'm just so far off the pace, I can't really get close to the leader in race A. I realize I went too wide in turn 1, but I feel like I've got the no-brake final turn down, fairly well. You guys see any obvious problems? I'm missing something, for sure.

I'm a little bit guilty in the flashing lights part. Usually when I'm on qualifying and a car gets out of pits right in front of me, or in a race when I'm clearly faster because the other guy hasn't pitted yet, but I flash the lights so they're aware that I'll make a move. Sometimes people are on their inlap and they let me go easier since we're not really racing for the same positions.

That is some really solid racing @Sven Jurgens. Really impressed. I die of sadness if I have to fight through the field like that.

I'm jealous of your 1:48 lap  I can't get close to 1:49 today. I'm playing Minecraft with my 7 year old in between races (he's playing on the tv next to the one I'm racing on) and he never stops talking  I got disconnected at matchmaking, waiting for him to finish typing so I can build again. For some reason the game pauses for everyone when you want to add text to a sign, and that's really important for 7 year olds :)

Great racing! And yeah, it is a mess in the back, yet I met some really great respectful drivers as well.

I hit the dizzy heights of DR/C last night with 4198 points. Good, or what?

This morning I tried a Race A at Tsukuba (or succubus as I know it), starting in 6th. on the grid.
I finished in 7th and lost 1800 points, sending me straight back to DR/D on 2420 points.
My SR rating stayed at B.

Is this right? How do I get out of this?
10,000 Driver points to the first person who posts "Git gud"
