Just for info as this car doesn't appear in the EU top 10 list and almost everyone is using the Porsche again in race C: the fastest time overall from a Japanese driver has been done with the Hyundai Genesis (and there are a couple more using the Genesis in the Asia top 10).

Finally a day I just cannot bring myself to participate in.. Can only imagine the carnage on willow springs carpark, and gr1s are stupid on maggiore. Maybe Ill do a fuel run for a change.

Just a quick question in-between: Where do you see the Asia TOP 10?

Ya even i was surprised him giving me the inside line for some reason.

He messaged FU after the race so i wondered if i did something wrong there.

not a dirty pass at all. standig on the left the M4 could have an higher speed than yours. imo he seemed surprised finding you there and not prepared in answering your action. Be sure until you are side by side, you leave him the space inside the track to turn. Personally, I would not have left that space, I would have covered the internal part of the track leaving space to the external part, since you were so close at the end of a long straight before parabolica curve.. anyway, if you do not touch the opponent and you leave him the space to turn, you are never dirt..

Only way to see all info from other regions is to make an account in the Asia (and/or Americas) region (I made one as "Australian") and then start the game with this account.
If you can live with seeing the times, but not the cars that have been used, then you can check it on http://www.jasonguernsey.net/gts/ (you have to register to see the daily race info).

Daily race B looks like the Bugatti is favourite I just managed a 1:37.591 to go top of the region but the guy in second is in a Mazda less than a tenth away so it’s pretty close.

Yes. When I look at the grid positions I usually see a fairly decent mix of makes and models. I think though that I'm one of the few who shows up with a Corvette on occasion.

This game has been out for over four months now. Today is the first time "The Streets of Willow Springs" has been used in sport mode. Gg PD.

Big Willow is a crappy track, maybe OK for cars like the Suzuki Swift or Roadster S or something.

Looks good for go karts. Maybe add a few coins, blue/red/green shells and a chain chomp.

Hope that kangoo is in march update. I always wanted to race a kart and a light goods vehicle.

Also there is a cheat on the race A you can cut the last 4 corners
So after the high speed left kink then that sharp left he turns right on to the chicane that doesn’t get used and then turns towards the line
Some guy has done a 1:12

Race C at Brands Hatch in the Nissan GT-R is so fun. Although the power in the 3rd gear is incredible and therefore makes the car tricky to cleanly accelerate out of 'slow' corners, I managed to climb up from P9 to P4 using traction control on 2.
Eventhough I raced against AS and SS drivers, the amount of (intentional) crashes was shocking, especially in the second sharp right corner...

Edit: the number of drivers who block you after a mistake and then you get a SR penalty is really frustrating :irked:

The Gr4 GT-R is pretty fun, I've had a win with it. It doesn't seem to be as popular as the Huracan or Atenza, Atenza I feel is a bit slow on the straights like the Lancer is. Try the Bugatti sometimes if you haven't.

Brands has been a wreckfest earlier, some guy divebombed me, I got the slower exit, he blocks me off into the grass and shunts of every other driver that tries to overtake him. Since he asked for a clean race in the pre-race chat I decided to let karma be fair and sent him into the wall on the second-to-last corner

Had some more clean battles, but also lots of carnage around me :(

Is it streets of willow that has the silly short cut?

Yes, sort of, it's different to Horse Thief mile but still possible to cheat and it seems they are at it again. :banghead:

Sadly that's what it's like mid pack, luckily for me the biggest problem that might ruin my race is usually me. Most of the top guys are very fair, there is only a handful who I know are going to cause problems every time I see them on track.

How do they cheat? Cut corners? If it's like that I guess I won't bother..

Yes, just miss the last turns out completely and cross the line before they can be reset to track. I checked half or so of the top ten and all of them cut the corners, just the drivers at the top cut them faster and by more, than the lower end drivers did.

It can be done!!!

A miracle happened! That was 1 out of 12 races.

Monza got uglier towards the end of the night instead of getting better like it usually does. The second chicane was usually as messy as the first, then on lap 2 crashing into t1 again until the field was sufficiently fragmented. I managed to get back to 97 SR with a clean race bonus after I got punted down enough 3 races in a row to get matched with B/S to D/S instead of the aggressive A/S crowd.

Getting through the first and second chicane and two right handers unscathed was still not enough. What could I have done to prevent this?

I'm on the inside, alongside, I have the right to the apex / right of way, I leave plenty of room, only 2 wheels on the actual track, end in last anyway.

Secondary viewpoint.

Oh well, I always made it back to finish well before my starting position thanks to the 9 lap race. The only big loss was getting disconnected during the finish countdown after finishing... Still counted as DNF.

@Sven Jurgens business as usual, you are next to them to the apex, they steer into you, bump themselves off track and then either shunt you of upon re-entering or when they somehow catched up again

You sure did leave enough space for him on the outside. One thing you could have done is predicted his swerving back onto the track and braked to avoid it, but that isn't really always an easy thing to do in the heat of the moment.

Yeah, the first chicane at Monza can be done and apparently most guys got more cautious there. But still, it is damn easy to get penalty for crossing the orange bananas, when someone hits you, so it is even not your fault.
Brands Hatch, Dragon Trail and Monza were both disaster for me over the weekend. OK, I was promoted to DR B, but lost SR miserably, due to close fights on both tracks. I have the feeling that the penalty algorithm swings to the other end now :grumpy:

Okay, we can agree to disagree. But I just have to summarise by saying that I don't see how you can be thinking about "what if"s when going into a huge overtaking opportunity on the last turn of the last lap of the race (which is something that you appear to have missed - this overtake was the last chance for the victory). Nor do I see how you could have pity on an opponent for lacking racing intuition. I would never in a million years be happy to let that chance go, but if you would be then there you go I guess.

It's sport mode, not life or death or money on the line. I knew it was the last lap, therefore I would've waited for the last corner so there was no opportunity to be re-overtaken. Winning is not everything to me, but good racing is. The do or die win mentality is what is starting to breed dirty driving right up to DR:S SR:S. I watched Orma_snows FIA stream last night and some of the driving/racing in that lobby was a joke.

Different folks different strokes. We just have different risk assessment.

I in no way ever meant it was a dirty move or was bad. Just that it was risky, and one that I wouldn't have taken there.
