Fun lobby racing tonight!!

I always get drunk for Pigems' lobby. I don't think I've hit anybody, though. I'm just used to drinking and racing.
I think a fair number of them are high, anyways.

That explains why you had trouble entering the Alsace race

I may have smoked one to many tonight, I think I went off in every single race.

One of those nights. I'm glad it was Fuji where my car got stuck trying to murder the pit crew, who then thought it a great joke to glue my car to the ground at race start :odd: Then second race my car went completely sideways at the start, it was all planned to let you pass safely uhuh :sly:

4 laps on the mountain is definitely better, 6 at Alsace is also plenty. You should set up the daily races :)

Decided to give the Daily Race B another go. Started P1 and never looked back. Had a hairy moment that resulted in a wall tap exiting the Dipper that dropped the clean race though.

Edit: ran two more, both wins. This from the last one:

Glad to take fast lap on that. The guy in 2nd was great at stealing it from me on the last lap.

Ah, so getting pinged for a wall contact scrubs your clean race bonus as well? I'd wondered why I could never go near another car and still end up with no CRB. Thanks.

Testing the NSX at Bathurst again last night. I've found a few places that can be taken flat, where I was lifting before.

If I can string something together today, I think I can get it to 2:13.5/600

Next week it’s Tokyo and Suzuka again... and the Nurb 24H track with Gr.3.

Suzuka is one of my favorite tracks but we need more variation with this!!!

To be fair, it has been over a month since the last Tokyo race (it's not appearing almost every week like it used to, at least) and there has been a lot of variety in the past few weeks. Next week should hopefully feature the N300 roster used before at Suzuka East and Tsukuba and I've always wanted a race in the R34 at Tokyo but that's me.

Nurb 24H makes sense to have since it coincides with the real racing event. The only disappointment for me is Suzuka although it has been a while since Gr.4 at Suzuka so that's something.

I don't know how I feel about this revelation. You guys are all driving around with blurred/double vision and are still 3-4 seconds quicker than me...

Man I suck.

I've done two of these lobbies and I suck a little less every race. It's the camraderie and racing with the guys i've been through the trials and tribulations of the week with that makes it so fun. If I can stay close for a lap and watch the brake lights to steal a little racing line knowledge I'm happy. One of these days we'll do RWD at the ranch and I'll get my win ;)

Mind you, I usually do have a nice smoke before we start...

I haven't been racing much this week, following E3 stuff and playing some non-racing games for once. But I have done 5-6 races in Gr.2 at Alsace, and I think I've enjoyed it. I was excited to get Alsace in the daily races for once but trying to actually race on it is really tricky. I like the track but some of the turns are really unconventional and I still haven't figured out the proper way to take them. It's even more difficult with tyre wear, because the most difficult corners are the ones that really depend on having grip. I like the Super GT cars but the turbo coming out of the first corner has really ****ed me a few times.

On the other hand, I'm very excited for Nurburgring 24h next week.

I did a couple sport races this morning, get them in before the bump fest starts.

I got lucky in one race, victory with best lap of only mid 2:15

The cars in front messed up, I got passed them and managed to stay ahead with a couple nice side by side turns.

This race went the best, clean race with some real overtaking.

Easier to avoid and faster in the Lexus to race in traffic.

Then the bumping started. Two bumps from behind is enough to lose SR, then only +1 SR per race if you get bumped once. The last race I just did was contact free again, 4th place from 5th with clean race bonus after a 1.5 lap battle with 4th. Meganes keep winning the races with op acceleration and brakes.

Overall, racing from the front is much less exciting than from the back. It's always Meganes at the front for one, plus there aren't enough people of similar speed to make it interesting. The front walks away with 2:12 laps, I can do high 2:13 at best, then 2:15's behind me after they're done with the lap 1 bump draft. It's a lot of risk to SR without much racing action. 3 laps from the back isn't enough to catch up with similar paced drivers either but at least there's more action.

A week without Sports Mode comes to an end. Not being competetive in any of the races offered, I decided to concentrate on driving school and general training. I almost exclusively raced in Cockpit mode: If you take your time to get used to it and apply the seat settings (height + lateral shift) it suprisingly brings a better feeling for car handling. I practiced offline in GT League and I feel confident to race online in Cockpit-Mode.

Another good thing when running GT-League: Learn to avoid other cars and divebombers. Seriously, the AI is just hillarious. I tried the Audi TT event on the Nordschleife and it‘s like Sportsmode: You get pushed off the track, you get divebombed and you have many cars losing control. Only the penalties are missing.

+1000 on cockpit view.

I forgot how the matching system in GTS can be very hilarious some times. First race of the day, I got into a lobby where my time was good enough to be on pole. Started on pole, I won the race, got fastest lap and everything, then the next lobby, I was starting P12 with P1 a full 4 second faster than my quali time

Two race C tonight. Quite fast lobbies I think. My 1:42.8 qualy got me p13 and p15.
P1 q time was 1:41.4....

At first race, was on p9 when pro punter pushed me wide on T3.
Finished P14. In replay, all passes he made was dirty. Small hits to lead car rear pumper.
Pushed me wide and spun me after. Did put my car on the grass after and got him 4sec penalty.
My race was ruined tho, the spin totaled my tyres.

Race two, no punters statt P15 finlsh P10. Nice one.

Havent seen podium start loooooog time.
But in fast lobbies, its win to keep or raise in position.

So the next two weeks worth of races are up on KP, next week’s races show them to be running normally from Monday to Sunday, but the week after only shows races running from Monday to Wednesday. Is there a change coming in the frequency of Daily Race changes? New races every 3 days would be better than every 7. :)

Nice spot I missed that. Could it be an update coming?

I think it's just that they're limited to how far they can schedule or the site can't look too far in advance.
It only showed one day when they first came out
