Same if you make a mistake and put the weels on the grass, they will kindly serve you a nice penalty.

I can’t seriously believe they tested this update internally otherwise there are serious questions to raise about their testing team.

Well my incident was on Miyabi, and the „funny“ thing is that if you just go wide through the grass at the very fast S then you get NO penalty! But if you screw up and crash into the wall and lose endless time anyway, then you get the additional 5 second penalty... I think this was there all along on Miyabi, not just since the update, but it is stupid anyway.
With the other cars the danger of this happening also wasn‘t so high, but with the MR2 on a 10 lap race without assists the chances are pretty „good“...

Yeah man I believe he was an SS as well, P2 in that race, and I can see why, he is fast, but he didn't seem to change anything about his driving from qualifying to the race, and it spoiled the opportunity for me to have another good race with HillClimbFun (the French driver) - c'est la vie.

This is one of the bigger problems that coding can’t really fix. A lot of drivers forget the fact that there are 15 - 19 other drivers on the track.

Just because you’re able to catch someone doesn’t mean you’re faster. It just may be that the group of cars ahead actually show some racing etiquette and wait for their opening to make a move instead of forcing their way through out of a false sense of entitlement.
 
looks like you gain 5 SR points if you have an all green race , at SR S anyway
 
Penalty system is frustrating at best, guy ever so slightly tipped my rear bumper, hardly worth calling a "tip". Result was a 5 second race ruining penalty for both of us. Current system is not sustainable in its current form and needs tweaking fast.
 
That high rank players (not all, of course) has no any respect to ordinary ones, I guess they think we should just remove from their way, specially if they are struggling to get a proper place for attack/overtake!

Btw, in FM7 chicane of GP layout is on default position, while here is little ahead, on very tricky place...
Just watched Porsche Supercup stream there and steamer is playing pretty dirty, even in private, invitational lobby!

Exactly what you have been talking about in previous posts...
 
just witnessed the fastest rage quit ever , 2nd tried to overtake 1st but met the wall , instant rage quit
 
Tried a no-stop strategy in race C. Managed to beat one other driver. I have to say, it was a HUGE success.:lol:
 
For once in a long time, I actually did all three of the Daily Races. First for Race A, second for Race B and second for Race C. Not a bad day by any means but qualifying for the Nurburgring race is difficult when the track is soo long. You only get time for one lap. The MR-2 was a heap of fun to drive, but the Group 4 race was dominated by Aston Martin Vantages. I came second in the GT by Citroen, but I didn't have any answers on the straights.
 
I've been doing the Nurb 24h so far today. It's a mixed bag. People are more behaved with the penalties yet 1 lap is just too short for that track. It's my favorite track, yet having to wait 10 minutes between laps is killing it. Plus with the waiting and loading you only have 6 minutes actual qualifying time in between, not enough for a lap.

Next one is up, might switch to C soon, running out of things to do between races.
 
A great day on the N24, my last race was down to the line, layer cake was hunting me down and it got close..

 
Guys and fellow gr3 experts,

How does the AMG gt compares to the others in the class?

I am not a gr expert, but today I’ve seen mostly BMWs taking the win followed by some “outliers” like the viper.

Is the M6 then the go to car in this class?

I actually enjoyed driving it on the Nordschleife but if it oversteers or you just barely touch the grass it‘ll spin out without any chance to recover (at least when driving without aids). I tried it twice and both times snap oversteer kick‘d in yo and ruined my race :boggled: Switched to the Aston then and won (pure luck) and then gave the M6 a go and came 5th. The BMW is far better to catch when oversteering imho.

The daily B is broken. First time I actually used the report button just now. The same player kept ramming into me racking up the penalties until I had to slow down and descend into the back of the field where B/S players, immune to time penalties, were playing destruction derby. Result -16 SR and some DR loss. The guy ramming me had quit the race halfway.

Matchmaking is screwed up or S/S and A/S players have already abandoned race B. I'm at 40k DR, was at 99 SR, usually get matched in S/S A/S rooms. The last 2 races only 4 and 5 A/S drivers, rest B/S that race with different penalty rules. Screw that, thanks PD for ruining my favorite track. I'm switching to C after dinner.

Or maybe not, what is that abomination of a track lol.

Matchmaking was screwed up before the patch. I don’t know what it’s like now because I haven’t done a daily race since the patch. I do the manufacture, then either go to private lobbies or I’m done. Didn’t even bother racing today.
 
Again a disconnect waiting for other players. It is getting to the point where this is all... pointless...
The 00:40 race entry I missed to enter by 5 seconds and the 00:05 now I got disconnected waiting for the others.
Am I the only one that has this increasingly since the update?
I am more waiting for races than racing...

I was excited to see the Nürburgring used for one of the dailies today, and I had a consecutive clean race string equaling my current best (3) with some excellent races with a French driver, I was hoping to make it 4 consecutive clean races, when this happened :p

It could also be a lack of interest, although the Nurburgring is an awesome track once you get into the groove. if you want mismatch, try being a DR/D! Only 3 of us in the race with the rest being A's and B's with an S on pole! Again it could be a lack of interest or a case of being intimidated by the track.
 
Not getting any credits in the GR3 Sport race today. Anyone else having this issue?
 
I'm loving race C in the daily's, sure it looks like a mickey mouse roval track but it's simplicity is also it's strength. Everyone learns it pretty quickly, it's nice and wide plus there's only two breaking points, one of which you can take multiple lines through. I think all that combined has lead to some great racing today.

I've been doing a lot of Daily Race C today (The Vantage one-make race at the Roval), it seems like doing a fuel-only pitstop is the fastest way to race, about 4 seconds quicker than taking tyres too, it also seemed like I was the only one to notice so my DR has shot up (so now I'm playing against people I have 0% chance of beating).

Maybe your constant disconnects are related to your provider? My internet connection is bad...like, steam powered bad, but I never had a DC while playing online.

Still, sorry about that, I used to have such problems time ago while playing WoW, so I feel your pain.
 
Yup another bad race on race C, wtf seriously. Was 4th and got smashed twice by the same guy and ended up dead last on first lap, sitting in pits right now not doing anything- surprised the game isn't kicking me out.

omg, it's the same guy that was driving dirty a few races ago trying to side swipe everyone that tried to pass him, I'm reporting his butt.

It is possible of course but I doubt it. I never have problems in the race (5 green bars, no disconnects), it is always when waiting for the others after matching.
I installed a SSD a few weeks ago, maybe there is something that it is loading faster for me and slower for others and then the game thinks it is a connection timeout if the others are loading the track much slower, dunno...

...and AGAIN I don‘t believe it...
