Both cars lost weight. The Huracan feels so much less ponderous. Same for the Ferrari and McLaren. I haven't tried the NSX, but I expect the same.

So I just dusted off the 458 and ran 9.5 laps at Suzuka because I raged quit on the 10th lap and only managed to put in 1 clean lap at 2.02.140. Every lap was an adventure because no 2 laps were the same. I would do something in one lap and the car behaved just fine, repeat the exact same thing on the next lap and the next thing I know I'm either performing a pirouette or I'm testing my rally skill in the grass/dirt :irked:....Anyway I'm just going to admit that I'm not quite skilled enough to handle that car at this point in time so I'm just going to park it again and forget it exists for a while :ouch:

The Lambo did feel a bit faster though. I have not tried the NSX yet but I did run the RCZ and that thing is as stable as I remembered it, still feel slow but stable. I have not dipped below 2.02 with it yet but the night is still young!!

The night really was still young, I got my best time so far at Suzuka 2.01.396 with the RCZ...man I love that car :D. Felt confident enough to jumped into a couple of races. First one did not go too well, started P6, got punted then dropped down to P9 and recovered to P7 after 2 racers completely botched T1 on the last lap. 2nd race was better, started P4, finished P2 with a nice little battle at the end with P3...all in all, a good night!!!

I did one more no stop on race C on mediums, do-able, finished 7th, 7 places gained, 27 DR earned, best lap of 1:29.5. I got into 3rd when everyone was done pitting, then stayed out of the way from the 1:26 fresh tires crowd. My mediums were pretty much done at the end.

That's it for me for a while, I'll be gone until next Wednesday. KP doesn't have the next week up yet, but I doubt it will be N24 so soon again, so no loss. Likely Fuji, Tokyo and Magiorre

Some of the combos were bad, and some were good. It was all just random. I think it was the random tires that had the most impact. Maybe we'll do it again, when we have another week of crappy daily race combos. 👍
Horse Thief Mile. Gr.1. Sports Hard. Well done random generator, well done.

Seriously though. Great concept. Especially the surprise factor of car and tire. Refreshing change from racing the same car all week. I was out of my league but if I was matched with similar skill, this would be a great learning exercise, really forcing the driver to be careful while getting used to the car/tires, like it or not.

Dumb question here but how do you load up another replay for use as a ghost?
I downloaded deafsun's for race C but i can't find where i can load it. Can it be done in qualifying while waiting for the race to start?
Also how would one download a replay of a friend who is obviously not in the top 10?

To view a top 10 replay, go into a qualifying session and view the top 10 times. Click one and you get the option to 'Load Ghost'. That's what you need. After that just make sure ghosts are displaying and it will show that one as well as your own fastest time.

For anyone outside of the top 10 you do indeed need them to share their replay.

Race A

Race B

Interesting. Race A is always a maybe for me until the car is confirmed. Race B sounds like a good time as i quite enjoyed gr3 there a few weeks back. Race C isnt on KP yet.

I mean, there must be a reason that I don't understand, a strange motivation that I don't get but, seriously, why do they always ..... Always .....go for the hard tires on dailies ??

Doesn't it promote unwanted contact by making the cars harder to control ? I know, everyone should be able to control their own car, go into curves at the right speed, use their brake properly, etc....

The fact being that reality is the total opposite why would a company like PD would promote their product in such a way that it's harder to get the hang of it and, by doing so, resulting in situations like we see too often is beyond me.

I love the game but, that part, I just don't get.

Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way. If so, please explain, i would really like to understand this.

Just came back to playing the daily races after a couple of weeks and race C was so dirty at the start, even with S ranked SR I felt like I needed a shower afterwards.

I run my 458 with +1 brakes, just like my NSX. I find it settles the car down and the added braking force to the rear calms the engine braking somewhat.

I only got one right Magiorre.

Brand's hatch GR.4 not a big loss as I won't be there to race until Wednesday night. 4 laps is very little for Brand's hatch, sprint race defending start positions... That's hardly a 6 minute race

Sardegna B GR.3 sounds good, I wonder how jumping in on a Wednesday will go. Probably a lot better to skip the first two crash fest days  I think I did that one in GT League already, not sure. 15 laps, simply start from the back and by the end of the race I'll know the track
Less tire wear but more fuel use, hmm. x5 that's possible to stretch out to 19 minutes while short shifting a fuel efficient car. I could make 5 laps on N24 while shifting just after halfway on the bar in the Lexus at x2 fuel use, that was 42.5 minutes, so x5 is 17 minutes, shift a bit earlier or use a more efficient car and it's no stop vs one stop. It depends on the track as well, Sardegna B might be more fuel efficient than N24.

Ooooh.

N300 at Maggiore... Arcade Racing? No thanks.
Gr.4.... aha... tell me more... Brands Hatch... Ok... No thanks.

So Race C next week it is then. Interesting.

Wow. Nice selection for next week. Now watch for two Japanese tracks and Nurb gp for the week after next.

Yep. @sturk0167 prep up the random generator for the week after next!

But, could you imagine how far the aliens would push the top of the leaderboards if they got to use softer tires? I used to hate the hard tires as well, but I’m starting to see the light now. They’re harder to use and by getting used to them it makes you a better driver. :)

If you can somehow do race C on Bb -5 tires become a non issue. Lol.
I went from +3 to 0 and went from struggling to get soft tyres till lap 6 ago stopping on lap 7 with plenty to spare

I just used TCS 2, as long as you don’t spin out you’re all good, I was pitting on lap 8 so I could push the 2nd set of tires harder on the second/shorter stint. :)
