Did a little bit of testing for tomorrow’s A and C. The 911 was by far the easiest car to drive around Sardegna, it did that on its first lap, the others got 2 or 3 each. :)

I didn’t know what to test for race A so I just did a bunch, who knows what it will actually end up being.

I did 15 odd laps at Maggiore East this morning. I used the R32. A bit slower than your time. Working on the hunch that we’ll have a choice of Japanese cars again.

Pleased to see that it was top of your testing times.

I did some laps at Brands in the McLaren GR4 too. Low 1:32s, so I’ve got some work to do based on the top times the G4 cars were last there for a daily.

Got about the same results for Sardegna ..... Fastest was 911 (1:20.893) , followed by the R8 (1:21.205) and the AMG gt3 (1:21.418).

More practice will surely help... and playing with the brake bias also ....seems to make a massive difference on this track, but I guess it's gonna be one of these 3 for me.

My guess is that the N300 race will be with the Camaro. At least it's not another Fiat 500 or Mini Cooper

LOL. Imagine what the R8 would be doing next week without the BoP changes.

BTW, I am pretty proud of win 501!!

I set the Ferrari to -2. I got win 501 out of it. .... and people keep saying that it got "nerfed". Seems just fine to me.

The key is not braking too hard for the faster corners. Those brakes are STRONG so if you feather them, it works just fine. Ya. sure, I'd like more power for it, then I would use it all the time :D

Strange, I saw you go from about 4th to something like 15th and finish absolutely nowhere in that same ferrari.

I only noticed because I used the Ferrari for the nations cup last night and loved it so figured the Gr.3 version would be just as good and thought i might try it... (Currently rotating between the R8 and AMG)

Then I saw you going backwards and struggling and thought nahhh **** that.

Yep. In the previous race, I totally botched T1 with the totally wrong brake bias. I had it set to +2. I had mistakenly set it pre-race to +2 thinking it was -2, but the previous race was horribad. I made up some places once I fixed it, but then some dirtbag bumped into me and then drove off track to give me a 5 second penalty.

It's much better on -2.

He pulled the same move as "Momoz" in this video

But hey, I did some Sardegna testing and thought to myself, "PD MUST have a good reason for the BoP adjustment on the Ferrari". So, first, I went out in the Porsche and set a 1:20.8 lap. Then, I chased that ghost in the Ferrari and, boom. 1:20.779.

Momoz the legend

My DR and SR got absolutely destroyed by Race C Sarthe last week with its absurd track limit penalties, handing them out like candy... and then once I ended up with C SR, my Dr tanked from 35k to 15K at which point i was pissed and it went all the way down to 3K from frustration lol

So I've spent the last two days at Suzuka with GR.3 trying to get back to A DR.

I'm at like 29.9K, but everytime I get there I end up in a wild race where I start 10th (2:00.9 at Suzuka) in a ridiculously competitive lobby with guys that have 1:59 times and S/S rank (I'm currently B/S) ... And I'll have a great race getting up to 4th or 5th, and then either bin it in Degner 1... Or get punted to **** by someone and lose 7 or 8 places.

GR.3 at Suzuka is just a tough day at the office imo, so easy to make mistakes and some of the dirty stuff I see in S rated lobbies is embarrassing.

I want to try the Ferrari but I just can't seem to make anything work in the race as well as the R8/AMG

Suzuka, Suzuka, Suzuka. *Sigh* I should have practiced for next week's dailies (as I said earlier today). But I couldn't resist racing there on the last day. I ran 4 races with half of them nerfed, half of them just finished. I think I got a 3rd in one of them. Let's go again. And:

That worked so well, let's go again. Well, I didn't qualify on the pole, so I'd have to earn it, not just defend it. How did it go?

It's different for everyone. For instance, I can't make the corvette or AMG work for me. Anywhere!!! There's plenty of times that I have to use a car that is not a META car at all!

I was exactly where you are. I just focused on improving my Q time and getting top 5 finishes. Now that the ghosts can be loaded from the timing sheets, it should be easier to see where you are doing well and where you can improve.

Not sure what is the best approach to Daily Race C today as the guy that won in my race was in an Atenza and no stopped. I pitted in my GTR on lap 7, after short shifting a bit in FM1 with about 6 laps of fuel left, and changed tyres (not sure if that is necessary), but ended up getting gently persuaded by a fellow driver that I shouldn't be on the racing line, which cost me a few seconds. Then had a few seconds later in the race trying to get past a no-stopper, so pretty sure it would have been close.

Probably a one stop in the Supra, GTR or Merc is best. Maybe the Mustang might be ok? Fun race this one :)

I've got to admit, until I tried joining the race at turn 1 I was enjoying the bloodbaths and carnage in Race C at Sardegna. I would pull off to the side at the end of the pit wall to give everyone room to wipe out in turn 1 and then blast through the ghosted carnage and clear through the people servig penalties for it at the end of lap 1. Got quite a few high finishes there. Yeah, then didn't learn and started trying to stay in the race off the grid. Baaad idea. My last race someone in top 4 wiped out about 100m off the grid and took out the field. I got a 5 second penalty for getting wiped out and didn't reset so had to back up. Sucks starting dead last 10 seconds behind with fried rear tires and a penalty to serve. Looking forward to doing better on the B course. I'm terrified of Brands Hatch, done 100's of laps there and can't ever seem to link 2 clear solid laps back to back. Does everyone else have jinx tracks or am I just really missing something?
Need to get a video of the grid start oblivion loaded here from my replay. Fantastic Carnage that I had to laugh at even though it pretty much ended my race.

I gotta say this weeks races are looking like they're going to be great fun! Maggiore east is a blast powering thru in the Z28! @sturk0167 @Pigems , Brands as always is great in any race car and Sadegna B seems perfect for gr.3!
Fast and flowing track with lots of room and some fun corners and elevation changes as well. Should be very competitive but I have a feeling not too dirty...we'll see!

That's me done. Best of 2:00.871 at Suzuka, using the R8.

I think I'll be skipping most of next week. Mental health hasn't been great the past couple of weeks, and I can feel it deteriorating pretty rapidly, at the moment.

That's a good lap time. I cannot get below 2.02! Take it easy, and we will see you on track again when you are ready.

I managed just my second win at Suzuka this week in my 100th race around there (don't laugh!). I had to significantly reduce my millage on this game for a few weeks due to other commitments, and this is my first race win for ages - I had forgotten what it felt like. Qualified 3rd, passed the guy in 2nd when he went a little wide at T1. The leader was about 1 second a lap quicker than me, but he spun out (without any help from me) on lap 3 and rejoined just 2 seconds behind me. I was feeling the presurre on the last lap, when he was less than a second behind, but kept it clean for the win.

Well done on the time. Getting 2:00 on Suzuka is difficult; the R8 LMS makes it even harder, despite it being the "meta" car.

Feel better soon, we're here for you! Much love and support.

Sounds very sensible to me.

And what everyone else said - hoping you feel better soon buddy. Get some air.

To load a ghost from the top ten aliens, do you have to be running quali in the same car? I don’t get any option to load a ghost?

You don't need to be in the same car but you do need to be in a qualifying session, rather than a race entry session.

To view a top 10 replay, go into a qualifying session and view the top 10 times. Click one and you get the option to 'Load Ghost'. That's what you need. After that just make sure ghosts are displaying and it will show that one as well as your own fastest time.

Thanks, I’ll give that a go.

I don't get it. He hit you and you get the penalty? The system counts his "off the track" move like if you knocked him out? (Sorry for my weak English, this sentence murdered me...)

Originaly, when there was contact, *both* drivers got the SR down. Don't think there was a time penalty as well. For a brief time they changed it to the more correct way of the person behind being responsible for avoiding a collision. A few people exploited this by the occasional brake checking. The guy behind gets an SR down, maybe a penalty, and the guy in front gets a bit of a speed boost. I don't recall that exploit being rampant. To fix this they totally screwed things up royally to the system they have today. :banghead:
