I had a ton of fun in that race. I enjoyed battling with you and uncletentwenty3 (that guy is always so good at the A races). For the first three laps, it looked like we might have a chance for a 3-way photo finish, but at the start of lap 4, I made a slight mistake, which allowed p4 to get alongside me. That really killed my corner entries and exits. I beat him, in the end, but I was bummed to not be challenging you two at the finish.
Excellent job done by you, sir. 👍

Thanks man. I am definitely running a bit off this morning. Not sure if it is the heat or what but i am really sloppy.

It was definitely close for the first laps i noticed you were in a battle after you fell back a bit. Uncletwentythree is a good racer, i felt terrible that i gave him a few love taps, fortunately none were costly and i think he knows me well enough by now that he was hopefully not upset.

Been doing Race C over the last days. Only yesterday figured out i was loosing a lot of time on pits. I qualifyed 1.22.0 on the Vette and was racing it hard (almost qualy times if a clean lap) only to run out of fuel by the end of lap 7 which forced a pretty long stop to fill the tank. Yesterday went out for a walk and was thinking how the other drivers pitted quicker, started searching online and figured out they were just filling less gas to their tanks. Gonna try to race it today saving gas and get better results.

Really like the track and it also allows really good battles

I did it, at least by pushing as much as I could. It may not be a spectacular or top time, but I've put in some effort with my late night hot laps.

The old Bumblebee was quite a handful to slide around with. The power of American muscle without traction control is really something worth sliding about. Started off with a 1:44 on TC3, I gradually worked my way around and got accustomed that I went on a TC0 hot lap. Wrestled my way down to break the 1:41 barrier I've targeted on within a few laps.

Next was the Brands Hatch with the Huracan, initially qualified a mid-1:36 due to my excessive conservative approach, went in for a race at P15 grid and ended up P11. After observing fellow racer's braking and throttle zones, I've also noticed my laptimes got faster than my qualify. Hence I went forward with the trusty Huracan to push for the best.
Ate a supper worth of gravel and left kerb marks while spinning like a ballerina through a handful of laps, I eventually creeped closer to the flat 1:33s, my initial target. Grasped a final run with the sweet spots and broke through the barrier on a mid-1:32. Felt like a king for the moment after all that struggle on the first turn and the horrid high speed corners, Brands Hatch ain't my favorite nor my strongest.

Next up was the Sardine Track, initially took the SLS AMG for a recce and then a couple of hot laps, managed to break through my target of 1:23, just a fraction under that mark. I thought it wasn't just enough, since the front heavy was so reluctant to turn and I had to adjust my racing line to get the front to serve my desires. Went for the AMG GT and it got glued to the track instantly, banging about the redline in 5th gear as compared to the heavy front SLS AMG that wanted to escape from the hatch, went around the first lap a few tenths faster, and eventually got down the 1:22 barrier in just 4 laps.

Pretty good 30 minutes of gameplay for the night. Got to review my videos and do some adjustments to shave off a little more time if I could.

Did some tinkering with me old youtube. We're properly set up now with a GTSport specific channel as opposed to spamming my personal page with random vids.

Eventually put together my Postcards from Suzuka compilation. It's a little longer than I normally go for, so just a pre-warning in case you do actually have something better to do and were just pretending when you hit the play button.

The rest of my Career DR/D series is here if you really are bored... I'll be uploading the best (worst) bits from Brands Hatch soon enough, exploring the lofty heights of DR/C for as long as it lasts...

Decent race this morning. Brands. QT *1:31.026. Start 7th. Finished 8th. Pretty clean. Got an orange warning for getting hit from behind. Overall though it feels like the contact penalties are better now (only done B this week so far).

But I also feel the driving is a bit nuts. The top 10 ghosts improve lap times but traffic got a lot more dangerous now that everyone is fighting for the same line but not willing slow down. Used to be, some knew a trick here, a trick there and that cause some separation between cars. But it's week one so.... over more time I think everyone gets better.

* trying to improve my QT in the 86. Turned on TCS +1 (usually off) and consistently picked up around .5 sec/lap.

Downloaded but it didn't work for me.
I checked my Kudos stats and now I'm... sad.
Really? Strange..

It's convenient to keep track of yer stats. Just refresh and shazaam.

Has top 100 for all races..which I've only been on a couple times at 0400 Monday morning

Edit to add...which app did you download? The official one is kife

I do respect everybody who says there is plenty of room to overtaking in Brands Hatch. I really do. But I'm here just to inform you that I won seven in a row just by starting on pole and basically driving defensively, covering gaps and all: I even got lucky on some ocasions with people losing it trying to launch themselves on the outside, where there isn't really any space. Since I got a pole time, I lost just once because the second place guy got nervous and just divebombed me out of the track on the Graham Hill corner.

So I'm loving it, great to earn some wins towards that 91 trophy milestone.

Been testing the sarda B on daily C today. Really mixed feelings about the track.
Daily C q time with R8 1:20.191. Will find that missing 0.2sec. Any suggestions? I think that I suck at last tight left. And not carrying enough speed to the straight.

Well, i snuck in a few more races before work because i am really enjoying driving the camaro. It was, not a good idea. Sr is extremely thin in that race, pretty sure the most i have gotten, for a clean race even, so far is 4 and easy as all hell to loose many more than that. In the last race i did, a guy who is questionable everytime i see him to say the least, went total wrecking ball in the last turn of the last lap and ruined the race for 4 or 5 of us.... i guess he didn't like that i kept passing him through the lap even though i would let him by on his dives in t1... i don't know.....

You're exactly right about the SR in that race. I've done it 3 times, so far. Twice, last night, and just one today. I started at 99 and got an SR deduction in each race last night for being run into. :irked: That took my rating down to 92. The one race I did this morning got me a clean race bonus and only brought my number up to 96. So, I've had a net loss of SR without hitting anyone.

The fuel saving is winning at the moment because it doesn't slow you down enough, if they opened up the tyre choice, that might make the difference, the choice between flat out on softs with a stop and a no stopper on hards with a bit of fuel saving would be a more interesting race.
This is the type of stuff PD should be doing.

I think it’d be great to see perhaps once in a while, mandatory compound use like at the World Tour events.

my search failed; a questioned for the experienced and seasoned GT Sporters
how close are the arcade time trials, under as identical conditions as possible, to the daily race qualifying lap times? identical, very close, not close?
appreciato

If you're looking to practice in matching conditions, it’s better to open up a lobby with the same settings, offline racing doesn’t always match online, though it has gotten closer in recent months. If you don’t want people jumping in on you just make it a friends only lobby. :)

I feel it’s getting a bit harder to maintain sr.
I still feel also mixed about unlimited qual attempts.
In @Pigems lobby the two qual laps seems to work very well.
I’ll race a couple more b races later. Ran a few qual laps early sitting at I think 30.3 with the 86.
I’m not sure I like it in race though. Tonight’s the acid test on driving it with some fuel weight...
Qual is really important at Brands. A typical race from midpack will yield free spots most times from people going off.
I think good controller users are very hard to beat in the op ff cars.
I tried the tt, I loathe that car. Sound awful drives awful like the Megane for me.
But controller players do well with both those.
It makes for difficult competition because ff means they can push each other all over the grass and barely slow and rarely spin.
Hope my time gained can move me far enough up the grid to be in the getaway pack...We will see...

Important that you use lower case if it is that in your psn. Android always makes the first letter capital. Also press search after you write it.
Works great for me

It's actually kind of hard to get all the conditions right. Obvious differences would be fuel weight and tire wear. But there's always something different from the BOP in the Sports Mode races in my opinion. It's always good to check out the Daily Race qualifying, try a few laps, then go compare just to make sure there isn't a huge difference with gear ratios or anything.

You're doing everything right so you might just need to keep trying. My Brake balance is set to +1 and I did 1:19.957

Thanks for sharing! Gonna have to try using the blue zones underbraking, maybe i can find a couple of tenths there :) About last corner I feel like the car lost some grip in the middle (kind of floats to the outside), like if you were pushing a little bit more than optimal when entering the corner. Either way, I´m lapping slower than you, so I can be wrong!!

I did wonder who/if anyone was going to put their hand up and admit to that one. Whilst refraining from too much self deprecation, you must be having a real slow news day!

I'm very honoured. Considering I'm South East, and you're North West we're pretty much as far apart geographically as England can keep us. But a beer can be owed for sure!

In terms of qualifying laps, Time Trial mode and Sport mode qualifying will be identical. You just have to make sure you've made all the changes to the car that Sport mode does. BoP if applicable, tires, suspension, transmission settings. In Sport mode, all settings are Default.

Although, I don't know if anyone has ever definitively proven whether time of day factors in the car's performance. Maybe I'll make that into a research project.

Have you changed your PSN name? I know I still can't login with my current PSN (VanOccupanther24), but BradESPN works like a charm.

Thanks man! Its tricky corner for sure, that r8 needs to be thrown in that corner to get max speed. Just cant get the max out of it.

Good lap  Will try again friday. I use bb 3, struggle with understeer anything less than the 3.
Really challengin track, must say.

Got the 'Vette down to 1:20.655.

May try a different car. But, the Chevy should have decent race pace.

Yeah... Garden of England baby. It's pretty. But it's not spectacular...

I'm actually only about 40 mins from Brands Hatch... I did a track day there once in real life... Hasn't helped.

How you doing?

I can't say too much on the matter. I'm dating one of you. Sarah is originally from Sandwich. We went down to stay with her parents, and they tortured me.

I say tortured. They took me to posh restaurants, that didn't have burgers on the menu. What kind of savage doesn't put a burger on a menu?!

I'm alright, man. Thanks. Well, maybe not alright. Better than I was. I can think. Which is nice

Where are you from? Northern England or Scotland?

I feel a little dirty & weak in Race B this week, as I'm using Megane Trophy. It's just too easy to drive around Brands, and grips like snot!

I did bugger up though and actually qualified; which I very rarely do.

Managed a 1.30.805, feel like I can get that down by another 300 hundredths.

The racing, well more so the cherating/gaming on Monday and Tuesday was brutal on Brands.

The usual tap the back, off track, penalty to the victim, but there was a lot of ghosting going on with cars legitimately ahead but coming down straights or into corners.

Came across and had incidents with a few cars that would be ghosted when they were well ahead, but as I got close to over take they'd suddenly unghost creating a nice solid barrier and of course a massive bump to stay ahead.

I could understand the ghost if they were a lap down, but this was on the same lap and a place ahead.

Anyway, today seemed a lot cleaner and managed to get 3 CRB's when starting at the back (before I daftly set a quali time)

God knows what'll happen later when I start mid-pack, but I can see the CRB's ending!
