Finally clean races again after make some ruckus in other race (sorry for I hit on this night, cause I just awake and straight jump to races :boggled:)

I didn't think this short shift worked for 2 laps, surprisingly I can pull it. Should doing this short shift more often.

This is from yesterday's Vulcan race at Monza, as William Shakespeare once said "It was the best of starts, it was the worst of starts":

I had to check the replay to see if I had caused a crash but it was a car far behind playing pinball rather than me braking in somebodies way, It's nice to see that penalties are not added for corner cutting if you're pushed out there.

o my god. PD please improve the stability of the ****ing servers. And fix the penalty system so more Dr-S player re-join the daily races.

I played two race C Gr1 Interlagos. I am the only Dr-S player in both races. Qualify at 1:18:787 and start on pole. First race, at lap7 and 8s ahead of second place. Then I got disconnected and lost 2800 DR point! I won the 2nd race and gain 190 DR point.

It is not fun at all. In my current state, I am risking few thousands points (for only few ten or 100 points) every race and pray there is no dirty or aggressive drivers or not being disconnected.
This exactly.... What's the point in entering races worth a handful of points when the risk is a loss of thousands. The same thing happened to me. I'm lobby racing for a while I think...

@GOTMAXPOWER that player crashing the others even gave you an advantage as you had quite the gap after the chicane

btw I think I‘ve seen you in quite a few races online :gtpflag:

Daily C gr1 was a ramfest in sr S. One race was so bad that 8 players got disqualified, like everyone between 11th and 19th.
That race I got rammed off from 3rd place 2 times, just enough to accumulate 15s penalty, which basically ended the race.
Rinse and repeat 3 races down the road, every time at least 2 dq and me getting ping-ponged around.

I have no idea how some end up with sr.S, but faster the cars the worse it gets...

If somebodies raced against me and can remember my name it's usually a bad thing! my sincere apologies

I got stomped off in 3 races there yesterday, got everything between 10 and 13s penalty.. I think you just had luck this times around.

No it‘s all good 👍

Race C is awful today

Cars slamming brakes on mid straight when streaming them. Smash into the back, I spin off, 10 second penalty. Lovely

I feel like the Gr1 is just too quick for Interlagos, too many people can't handle the cars, spinning all over and then going for the usual stupid overtake spots. Nudged on the main straight so cut the corner, 3 second penalty hahaha pretty much got zero advantage.

Watched the No1 lap replay, runs wide on T4 and T5/6 massively, surely only to gain an advantage? How can that possibly count. Ridiculous

Really ruined my evening with Race C being rubbish

I’ve got to say, the online changes have definitely improved the racing BUT I did just overtake a guy cleanly then he shunted me off the track, he passed me and I got a penalty. Only issue I’ve had tonight

Can someone explain to me WTF has just happened to my DR?

I did three races, mostly against DR B drivers on average, and did quite well but nothing special.

just...ignore the sr...yeah (long story short I got stuck behind a DR D who didn't get any penalties for constantly ramming me)

Sure. But, you can't ignore the SR because that is key to what has happened to your driver points.

You had a big drop in manner points, which has triggered a reset of your driver points to the upper limit of SR A (50k).

What that means in practice, is that if you can get your manner points up to SR S level (80+) while maintaining your driver points at 50k+, the game will allocate you DR S and SR S.

You won't see DR S in game unless your SR S.

However, what tends to happen for most people is - by the time you increase your manner points to a higher level, the driver points will likely decline. Don't let your manner points drop under 15 though, that will reset your driver points to a much, much lower level.
Haha I'll try not to...my profile is a right mess now. Thanks

I think slower track would make it even worse, they gotta work on penalties much, much more. Ghosting and dq was a nudge in right direction but there needs to be more adjustments.
Player that has perfect speed and line should not get penalized for getting launched out of corner just because someone decides to use him as a brake.
Gr.1 on Interlagos is definitely out of control.

I basically got a penalty every time i was braking for a corner and somebody either barely touched me or heavily crashed into me...

Sounds like a challenge. I just started with the daily B, love that track. However GR.4 is kinda slow and I seem to fall into some no mans land again, increasing gap in front and behind running laps of 2:14, It's probably still too early to expect much from matchmaking since I'm on EST. Other time zones in my region aren't home yet. I just enjoy the daily B since it doesn't take a lot of time, easy to do in between all the other stuff that needs doing until I have time to dedicate to longer races.

What's the popular car today on Interlagos? Always helps when it turns closer to a one make, more uniform driving.

Mazda and Bug are pretty equal

Mazda is the new gr1 fotm. Just like bmw in gr3 and 4. Gets kinda dull with everyone just rolling the same cars. I'm seeing a Bop nerf soon..

Wow spoke too soon, lost 10 SR due to dirty drivers in race c, including being forced off the track by a fellow brit. I thought we were better than that

Bugatti is equal at Interlagos and 919 Hybrid was better at Monza...

True that, but Bug isn't as popular. 919 is certainly better in Monza and few other tracks.

It's Vantage now in Gr.4 on Bathurst.
Actually it's quite varied so far in the race.

It was Mazda vs Bugatti last time as well on Interlagos. Makes sense since no Bop changes in the patch. It's C again as well, still the best cars with fuel and tire management then.

Bathurst has mostly M4 on top of the boards...

My Quali lap for today, i took the Aston :)

But i've got to say that it's very hard to get it right at bathurst. My combined best sectors were good for a low 2:10,3xx

normally i'm not that far away from my optimal laptime...

Wrong. Check your replay again. You don't get a pen if you are rammed unless you brake early or cause crash. I also thought otherwise but you don't get pen ifvrammed.

I can! And I think I may owe you an apology for a very close flatout overtake on the Bluemoon layout the other day in the Vantage Gr4 cup. No contact, but I must have left you about a wing mirrors width to the barrier on your right hand side.

The problem with the SR system in one sentence:

I managed to get from SR B to SR S in one race today.

This is why the S ranked races are so bad, people just do one tidy race up to it then they can do 3 or 4 smash fests, rinse and repeat.

Saying that though, I did enjoy the non school kids races, even if they were loosely matched due to numbers

Bedtime rant: crashed 40SR tonight in 4 races at Interlagos, DR B players know how to put in a hot lap but when it comes to a race they’re clueless. I like to think I’m a courteous driver so if there’s a tap from myself and I gain their position I’ll let them have it back, but then I get a penalty, oh and it doesn’t scrub off for a further 10 seconds so my 2 second penalty becomes 12, plus someone rams into me and the game thinks I’m causing mischief so guess what, another penalty when I’m just trying to be a good sport.

If I nudge a car accidentally (which does happen from time to time) I should just carry on despite it being a dick move and become notorious for it because most players online I see most of the time and I don’t want that.

Grrr.

Yeah yesterday was a ******** for penalties for me multiple times I was hit from behind while braking and was given penalties while in the lead or 2nd at Bathurst. Also penalised 2 seconds on the run to the line while side by side with a guy who swerved at me. The penalty system really needs some serious work
