I tested all N100 cars on the Nordschleife in 2 lap custom races with BOP on, stock settings. These were my 2nd lap times.
9:12 Mazda Roadster S
9:17 Mazda Eunos Roadster
9:18 Suzuki Swift
9:21 Honda S660
9:23 Abarth 500
9:31 Porsche 356 (9:19 with 210kph top speed 5 gears)
9:31 Toyota Sports 800 (9:18 with 210kph top speed 5 gears)
9:31 Alpine A110
9:34 Honda Beat
9:34 Toyota Sprinter
9:35 Daihatsu Copen
9:43 Abarth 1500
9:47 Honda Fit Hybrid
10:00 Mini Cooper S
10:04 Samba bus
11:14 Volkswagen 1200
11:49 Fiat 500
The Porsche 356 is the only one that needs some finesse and is most rewarding to drive smooth. The stock 4 gears limit it somewhat though, maxing out on the early side yet it still gets up to nearly 200 kph with stock. The Toyota Sports is not really faster, just a lot more stable so easier, I feel like I can get a lot more out of the Porsche. It's easy to get into a drift with that one losing time.
The modern cars are faster, more gears, no hitting the rev limiter. They are also kinda boring on rails. With all cars there are many corners that don't require even lifting off the throttle, the last banked corner is the one that determines your entry speed on the straight. The 2 corners before are fine under full acceleration. Also that slight right at the start, right after Flugplatz, left before the hairpin, high speed left before the carrousel and corners after the carrousel, all fine under full throttle. The N100 cars struggle to get up the hills, some you need to downshift again to keep pace.
The cars are all pretty small so in theory overtaking should be fine. However, slow relative speeds invites a lot of door banging. N100 is always notorious for contact. The grass is also very forgiving with sports tires. Can PD still patch in some rain before tomorrow? That would make it very interesting
