Those TTs are really slow around corners. I could see from behind: brake-waiting waiting waiting okay, now they'll turn. The Scirocco is so quick off throttle and I used 3rd gear for all slow turns(even T1!) no TCS. They've only got a VERY minor pull on the front straight. Other than that, corner exit in the Scirocket kills them. If I qualy better, I can pull away. They were just all jumbled together, fighting with an RCZ.

Appart from qualifying, Race B will be off limits for the sanity of SR. its a track where quick cars like these will hardly overtake. I don't expect people to take corners side by side here. But on slow cars its a fantastic track. N100-300 works wonders here

Excellent brakes in the Viper. Next, NSX.

Edit: Went quicker in the NSX, but the brakes not as good as Viper. I'll do the N24 and come back to Race B in the RC F.

I just left it in 4th across the top of the circuit. Many kept applying brakes, where all that needed to be done was, get off the throttle.

Come on, get Swifty!
But honestly, I'm really not going bother with such a pathetic race. If PD wants me to come back, this isn't the way to do it.

After a over a year, I've finally got my K-Score above 70! This time last year it was in the low 50s.

I've charted it. It shows the percentage gap between me and the fastest EMEA times since I started the game (4th November 2017). Left axis is the % time from the fastest. Bottom axis are the "dailies" I've qualified for over time (1 is 4th November 2017 and 136 is last week's Autopolis). The lower the score, the closer I am to the fastest.

Point "A" is what I call my "Big Willow Nightmare!" I did one lap and was all over the place (think it was a BMW M3 or M4 N-class with TC off) and then quit. But it was at this point I decided to take the game more seriously. Before this point, I'd log on and just have a few laps and then switch to another track or some other part of the game. Before point A, I'd switch between DS4 and my wheel. Afterwards, only on the wheel. I've probably spent on average 10 hours a week playing GTS since point A (that is driving, I sometimes make liveries too).

PD's switch from dailies to weeklies fails at 60, so it's clear the distance between me and the fastest improved after the switch to weeklies as I had more time to dial into the car/track combo. In addition, the penalty system drives me nuts, so I did a lot less racing over time too.

My qually target was 'less than 3% slower than the fastest'. Now I know the cars and tracks better, plus help from various YouTubers (thanks for your time and content!), I can reach this 'below 3%' target pretty quickly.

So I've reached my K-score target, what next?

I'm going to shift my focus until Christmas on to race craft. I'll start off racing from the back on my other account and see where my DR/SR levels end up. Hopefully I'll learn to love the race chaos!! I'll still set qually times on my main account as that will be where I'll prep for the races (this should also increase my K-Score a little too).

I'm also going to go back and set new times on the Circuit Experiences as I enjoyed that in the Alfa at Maggiore last week. I thought it a good way to see how much I've improved.

I'm quite tempted to also create a 2nd account where I just start from the back for every race

That’s exactly what my second account is for, then you can go back and forth in the same week depending one where you want to start each race. :)

Swift huh? Time to make an Adidas livery for that car.

I don’t know if I should qualify for races B and C. I’m sure B will be a wreck. For C, I rarely play a Nürburgring track.

I'm lost about this: why people assume B will be a crash fest?

About the Nordschleife is a trick decision, isn't it? I simply don't like the track very much and won't have the patience for, I don't know, four laps per hour in order to find a good quali time, I'm just not interested. On the other hand, I guess this is what most people are thinking, so in theory, some effort on QTT could be important.

Which one is more brutal:
Turn one on Nurburgring GP, or Final Turn on Sardegna C?
From the manufacturer series race on Saturday, I'd say Nurburgring GP.

Qualifying for the Ring would take forever though.

What a downer to be stuck with these Daily Races all week .The GR 4 FF Cars should be at Sargdegna ,the GR 3 race should be at Nurburgring GP and the Swift shouldn't even be in the game :grumpy:

- Take 30 mins in arcade mode.
- Do 3 'easy-keep-it-on-the-track' laps.
- Get an average.
- Work out a vague optimum time based on what you know of your own ability.
- Compare to Top10 or quickly enter a race to get an idea of current QTs on your level and quit before it loads and puts you in the warm up lobby.
- Decide whether it's worth spending the week looking for a competitive time or whether you just wanna dive in and have 'fun'.

Suzuki swift hmm, that was one of the more boring ones to drive. It was the fastest after the Mazda's with a 9:18 lap on my first attempt. On rails then this week.

I did one qualifying lap, 9:13, not to start in the chaos. The top 10 is already below 9 minutes, but this car and track are also very forgiving on short cuts. Now lets see how that plays out in race.

Had a very clean fun race round the ring, but 2 laps is enough in the Suzuki....Swift? haha. They have a sense of irony at least. I really wish there were more Suzukis, they make some very fast cars that are legendary to the GT series. Imagine the Escudo round the ring!

This week I think my race is Sardegna in Group 3 cars again. It's short and sweet, great flow, great overtaking opportunities, reminds me of a beginner arcade racing game circuit with a bit of everything neatly packed in.
